Nathan Butler knows the score. People like him don’t get to be happy. They don’t belong.

Raised by his drug-addicted mother, Nate was kicked around a lot and abandoned and disappointed so many times he can’t afford to care about anyone or anything, his existence a tedious, monotonous two-step. Quick, quick, slow, slow, run, run, walk, walk. Over and over again.

Until he meets Mason Lord. Mase is the only person who manages to crack Nate’s defenses. For the first time in his shitty life, Nate has a real friend. He trusts Mase and even grows to love him, but like always, it doesn’t last.

Killed in a tragic work accident, Mase’s death is just one more disappointment. And when the company refuses to accept responsibility for it, Nate’s heartache turns to hate and he vows to make it right the only way he knows how.

Revenge.

For Rebecca Fox, a beautiful and talented corporate attorney, Mason Lord’s death is simply an accident. Despite the very believable eyewitness testimony from the drop-dead gorgeous Nathan Butler, she successfully defends the company against a wrongful death lawsuit, upping her chances of becoming a full partner at the most prestigious law firm in San Francisco.

The partnership is all she wants, the cornerstone of her long-term plan. Then Nathan Butler unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep and changes everything, her life becoming a thrilling, titillating playground instead of a dull obstacle course to navigate oh-so carefully.

Yet nothing is as it seems. A collision of desires and worlds, a twisted two-step, but what Rebecca doesn’t know can’t hurt her.

Or can it?

~~3.75 HEARTS~~

To what extent would you go for revenge? How many people will be hurt in the process of you fulfilling your task? Is the revenge worth it? Or will you get hurt in the end also?

Nathan Butler has never had it easy. His mother was a drug addict and he was abandoned, kicked around and disappointed too many times to keep count. He found the real meaning of friendship when he met Mason Lord. But more disappointment was just around the corner because Mason was killed in a tragic accident. And when the company doesn't want to take responsibility, Nathan vows to take revenge on everyone that had a hand in taking justice away from the one person he called a true friend. Nate has waited patiently for years to "run" into Rebecca Fox. The lawyer that defended Hock's Construction against Mason's wrongful death lawsuit. He wanted to mess with her head and make her experience what's it's like to be handed a raw deal and feel true devastation.

Rebecca Fox is a talented corporate attorney. Just because she battles against the little guys doesn't mean she is heartless. After a failed marriage she throws herself into her job and her focus is on landing partner at the law firm she works. She comes from a wealthy snobby family. Her family and their expectation is her Achilles heel. Tired of living the life that everybody "thinks" is acceptable she stands up to one of her co-workers and decides to go on a date with Nathan Butler. Nathan Butler is nothing like the normal guys she dates. He has a criminal record and he doesn't come from a wealthy family.

I think Nate got away with all that he did too easily. Since this book was focused on revenge I felt like it got wrapped up to nicely at the end. The embarrassment and destruction that he bestowed on Rebecca was beyond forgiveness in my eyes. And for Rebecca to have doubts about his story of his illness and being a lawyer and not trusting her instincts and digging deeper for the truth was a bit unbelievable to me. Also when I saw the cover this is what I thought of

While this is a novel of two people who eventually fall in love, the author takes us on a course that strays from the typical story and gives us something that no one could expect, and for that I say to her thank you very much. It’s not just a story of love, but also of revenge, loss, lies and manipulation at its finest. Talk about loving a story that is quite different from the mainstream. The hero of the story, Nate, is definitely not the person I came to love when I started reading this novel. By the end I couldn’t believe what he did. I honestly don’t want to ruin this one for so many with any spoilers as this is one you should really take the time to read. While I did like Rebecca, I didn’t like how every action she took after meeting Nate was to please him. Which tattoo did he like? Where should she place it? Her having a threesome because he wanted it. How quickly she accepted him back in her life after he disappeared. It’s like she lost of all of the good sense God gave her. Sure she changes, comes out of her shell and stands up for herself, but for all of it to happen after meeting Nate and being asked on a date with him? Not realistic. She’s so gullible, believing everything he says, I found myself liking her less and less.

Regardless of how much Nate loved her and realized how much he did deserve Rebecca, he was still a selfish and petty man who constantly lied. By the end I couldn’t stand him. There’s no way I could believe his story when it came to how his best friend died when he’s living one of the biggest lies without Rebecca finding out. On a side note, I can’t understand how not one of the detectives Rebecca hired was not able to find the truth about Nate. It just didn’t ring true for me.

So why the four star rating? The author takes us on a roller-coaster ride, never knowing which direction the story will veer with all the twists and turns throughout, pulling on emotions that kept changing from one chapter to the next. The writing is solid, with a plot that one can sink their teeth into, and with strong and cunning characters never knowing which direction they’ll go. “Twisted Two-Step” is a novel that I highly recommend you give a read. I look forward to reading more works by this author.

I was given this book for an honest review.
This was a really good book and it was not at all what I thought it was going to be about. This book sucked me in from the prologue and I like that when reading a book. Nathan Butler was raised by a drug addicted mother and lived the life that comes with that lifestyle and he has a hard time of letting go of his past. Mason Lord is Nathan's best friend and the only person that he trust but as also things don't last for him. Mason was killed an a tragic accident at work and the company refuses to take responsibility for it. This story had a lot of twist and turns in it. Rebecca Fox is a corporate attorney who represents the company in the lawsuit over Mason's death and wins the case hoping to make partner in the law firm. But when she meets Nathan, her carefully made life plans go out the window. Rebecca was a little shy and timid and she let her mother rule her life she married the kind of man that her mother wanted her too and she had the type of job her mother wanted her to have at some point in a kids life we have to start standing up for ourselves against controlling parents. Nate changed Rebecca for the good in my opinion she started standing up for herself. This book a really good plot and that I am glad that Nate learned to let it go. Both of the character's were very likeable and I enjoyed reading about them. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling this was my first time reading this author as well and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

This story begins with a Prologue which intrigued me. I wondered “What could the character possibly have done that would make him feel this way?”.……..
People like him didn’t get to be happy. They didn’t belong…..

Nathan & Rebecca’s life is made up of love, lust, lies, secrets & revenge. The author keeps you wondering at the onset if Nathan or Rebecca will come out the winner. Perhaps neither will. Will their love survive? Is it real? Why are these 2 people that should have everything the way they are? The author weaves a tale from beginning to end & keeps the reader in suspense until the very end.

I enjoyed every moment of this story. I could not put it down.

Ask yourself:
Revenge, how far would you go? Does revenge solve everything?
Secrets, are they best kept? Will they destroy you & those around you?
Lies, how good are you at telling them? Can you keep them straight?

In the author’s words:
TRUTH – Don’t let your crazy childhood ruin your happiness. You’re sabotaging a good thing because you think you don’t deserve to be happy. You have a choice……………………

My Review:

I love Julia Bramer, but I wanted to message her with shouty capped obscenities while I was reading her latest works – as she squeezed, twisted, and kind of broke my heart. The plot is intriguing, the story is well crafted, and the writing – sizzling hot. Revenge, betrayal, infidelity, compounded lies, disappointments, heart break, caustic mothers, bad childhood, death, law suits, toxic families, volcanically hot sensual scenes, evil schemes, blackmail - wow - Julia Bramer’s family better watch their backs as she is a bit of an evil genius! I was anxious, then I was ecstatic, then I was crushed, then I was devastated. She gave me a glimmer of hope, only to snuff it out again. ARG! Finally, after several epiphanies, a bit of flip-flopping, mind games, rationalizations, justifications, and even more lies and deception… well, I am not sure what to think about the ending just yet… This one is going to stay with me for a while. While it concluded with my desired end result, it was costly and not at all a clean solution, but yet it worked. Hmm, like I said – she’s an evil genius.

This begins with an erotic menage with one very apprehensive participant...
We are then taken back to the past, when our main couple meets. I was confused but compelled to continue. I had to know! How did this happen, how did they get here!

I was trapped in the same tornado of emotions that Nathan was.. while his revenge and hatred was targeted on one specific person, mine was targeted on him! I hated him through the first half, only to fall for him in the middle, then I hated him again! All I could think was what the hell is he doing WHY WHY WHY Julia Bramer WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!

I never really knew where the book would go next. With each page the plot would thicken. We're lulled into a false sense of security with Rebecca, only to watch the other shoe drop and our #1 question to be answered.

Whether it be love or hate, passions run thick in TwiSted TWo-SteP. Revenge propels you from one page to the next. This book contains several people you're going to have to hate, but one thing is for sure, your heart will go out to Rebecca.

I'm so shocked! this was a fabulous book. Julia Bramer is amazingly talented. the Nate character was screaming at me through the entire book. There was every emotion packed into him. The loyalty he showed to his best friend Mason and Lisa, Mase's wife was probably what fueled his anger. It was a sick, twisted and crazy book. I loved EVERY page. WOW let me add that Rebecca made me cry, laugh and get angry too. I liked the addition of the secondary characters like Marva and Lisa. Although the hard attitude from Lisa was difficult, cause I loved Rebecca, I could understand it. So it's a BIG must read

Loved it. I wasn't sure in the beginning. The story started from present and then went how they met. Nate has trust issues due to his past. And all he wanted was revenge. He wanted to punish Rebecca due to his best friend death. Rebecca was a lawyer and was doing her job. A very fantastic story that kept you going to the end.

Nathan Butler hasn't had life easy. Raised by a drug dependent mother, he was often abandoned and life disappointed him so many times that he likened it to a two-step… quick-quick, slow-slow, run-run, walk-walk. Nathan feels like he doesn't belong until he makes a new friend, Mase Lord. Mase and Nathan become steadfast friends and this is when he finally feels a sense of belonging. He trusts Mase and it feels good. Tragically, Mase is killed in a work related accident and yet again Nathan is left alone and disappointed. His grief soon turns into anger when the company won’t accept any responsibility for the accident... revenge on his mind.

Rebecca Fox is a corporate attorney who represents the company in the lawsuit over Mase’s death and wins hoping it will greatly improve her promotion chances. But when she meets Nathan, her carefully made life plans go out the window!!

Nathan wants retribution for his friend and decides to extract it out on Rebecca as she was the lawyer that represented the company. What starts out as a need for reprisal, turns into something else and the lines become blurred as revenge fights against the heart! Will Nate go ahead and make her pay or will he follow a different path?

Following her divorce, Rebecca starts to change and becomes the woman she wants to be. Finally free and no longer conforming to the way her mother wants her to be, she finds a passion and desire for life which she puts down to Nate. But is everything as it seems? Are their feelings real? When secrets, lies, betrayal and finally, the truth is revealed, will their love for one another survive?

This book starts off with a prologue which is told in the present. Then we go back to the past and the story is retold from there. It’s full of twists and turns and moments of jaw dropping action. The characters are strong. Nathan is sexy, charming and wasn't hard to love, but scarred by a past he just can’t shake off. Rebecca was also a likeable character. A confident career woman who came into her own when she met Nathan. There are lots of hot sexy moments, and the chemistry between them is boiling hot and believable. A great read with a bit of everything thrown in to keep the reader interested and invested in the story until it reaches its conclusion.

The title to this novel fits this novel to a T. Everything about this novel is twisted and there are lies, betrayals, and most of all, revenge. When I first started this one, I was a little confused at the very beginning. I wasn’t sure what was going on and what would happen. I found myself being sucked into the world of Nathan Butler. Everything about this man drew me in. Sexy, confident, hardworking, and let’s not forget charming.
But Nate has a horrible past that he cannot get past. It literally haunts him every day of his life. Nothing anyone tells Nate is good enough for him. He never wants to rely on a person for anything because of his past. I totally understood that logic, until he runs into Rebecca Fox again.
At first I didn’t really like Rebecca. She was shy, timid, and did what everyone told her to do and did exactly what they expected. She never stood up for herself and let everyone walk all over her. She followed everything her mother wanted for her. Her mother wanted her to marry a rich man, she did. Work at a certain job, she did. I really wanted her to grow a spine and stand up to her mother mostly and stop letting people control everything she did.
Meeting Nate changed Rebecca for the better. Not only did she start standing up for herself, she finally found her fire. Her passion. Nate made her want things she never wanted out of life before and I was so happy to see this change. I thought the two were perfect for each other and reading how much they loved and cared about each other made me smile and be happy for them.
There were some parts of this novel I didn’t like as much as the others. I really wanted Nate to forgive and forget his past. He let it control everything he did and he makes the biggest mistake of his life. He does pay for it, and he does feel bad in the end. Rebecca surprised me when everything happened. Instead of crawling back into her shell, she stayed true to herself until the very end.
Overall, this was a good book. I applaud the author in the creativity she used into writing this. Even if I really didn’t agree with how it ended, I was glad it had a HEA. I am curious to see if she will write another, just to give us readers a little more of a story to the aftermath. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a wild ride, because this is the right book for you!

ARC/ARR provided by Fifty Shades Support Group for honest review.

Revenge, Hate, Secret, Lies, Deception and Love are all of the things that make up this amazingly well-written book. There are so many twist and turns that I literally couldn't keep up. From the prologue this book had me intrigued and hooked.

Nathan Bulter is this good looking rugged man that is totally flawed. He was bounced around from foster homes at a very young age due to his mother's addictions, never knew his father, and ended up doing some time in juvie. He never felt loved as a kid and that essentially carried over to his young adult years (he was used by this old cougar who he thought he loved)....so lets just say he is very jaded and doesn't believe in love. He finally found a family through his best friend Mason Lord and his wife/kids, until one day Mason is killed on the job. To make matters worse the CEO of the company lies his way out of paying for the accident leaving Nathan pissed and his wife poor. He desperately wants to avenge the death of his best friend Mason and is willing to do whatever it takes to bring those responsible down, by any means necessary.

"How far are you willing to go for Revenge!"

Rebecca Fox is the corporate lawyer who represents Hock construction and is responsible for allowing justice to not be served in the case of Mason Lord. She comes from an affluent real estate family and outside of the courthouse she doesn't know how to stand up for herself. After her husband cheats on her and they get divorced (her mother doesn't approve of course) she basically throws herself into her work. Coincidentally (or so she thinks) she runs into Nathan again years later after the trail and like a moth to a flame is instantly drawn to him. And this is where the story gets really juicy.

Without revealing to much this book was amazing and isn't like anything I've read before. I wanted to feel sorry for Nathan because of all that he's been through but for the majority of the book I hated him and felt like he didn't deserve Rebecca. This book has everything you could possible need....Revenge, Hate/Love, Heartbreak, Deception/Lies, and most of all Redemption!

This is definitely one of the best books I've read this year and I highly recommend it!

3.5 stars! I liked Nate because I understood his need to get revenge, and he was hot. The sexy cowboy construction worker! He attempts revenge against the lawyer, Rebecca, who helped the company win against his friend's on-site death. Nate was passionate in his desire to exact revenge on her. Rebecca was a sheltered, successful lawyer. After meeting Nate, she starts to speak up for herself, dress sexy, and enjoy sex.

It was fun watching her become the woman she could be after her divorce and pressure from her mother to date 'suitable' men. Then an incident occurs and Nate makes a decision that has a positive outcome. I was thrilled. Then as the story continued, Rebecca was privy to some info that could make a very public case into a loss for a guilty party, but ... This is where I was disappointed. I disagreed with her decision and the fact that she never did anything about the expected fall out. To me, she could have been a heroine, but she wasn't.

Then later Nate returns to revenge on Rebecca, and it is elaborate. I appreciated that Nate's background, the loss of his friend, and more were still causing him to want to destroy what could be his happiness. As his plan unfolds, he has the chance to continue with his revenge or let go of the past for the chance at a future filled with love.

The theme of the book about revenge and the price of it as well as overcoming past hurts to allow in present love was solid. It just could have been a better story in my opinion with either a different decision by Rebecca or her wanting to 'fix' it with Nate getting justice for his friend.

Note: I received the advance reader copy (ARC) from the author. This is my honest review.

Twisted Two-step is just that!! It’s full of so many twists and turns that you’ll feel like you’re doing a two-step and tangled up in all the web of lies and secrets. As soon as I started reading the book I knew that I was in for an amazing book that kept my attention the whole way through. There isn’t a dull moment and the chemistry between Rebecca and Nate is just explosive!!

Rebecca is such a wonderful character. I especially loved watching her grow throughout the book. She goes from a very timid person who does what she’s told, to a strong vibrant young woman who tells everyone to back off and finally starts taking up for herself. It’s all thanks to Nate; he brings out the best in her. They bring out the best in each other.

Nate is such a sexy, strong, and loving character. I was instantly in love with him because of how big of a heart he has. I can’t say I agree with all the choices he makes because he sets out to get revenge, but in the end you know where his heart is. His character will just blow you away and have you begging the author for more Nate.

Be prepared though. This isn’t your everyday love story. There is lots of craziness going on and you’ll be shocked with everything that happens. If you love a book that leaves you guessing the whole time and reading just to see how all the pieces fall together, then this is the book for you. It’s an emotional yet beautiful rollercoaster of a story and the ending will leave you at a loss of words. I can’t wait for more of the story.

This book is seriously messed up. It amazes me with how messed up in the head, Nate is, that he is capable of feeling love for another person. It also amazes me how far he will go to lie and ruin people's lives as a revenge. Nate's life wasn't great at all but things turned around when he was Mason. Mason's life was cut short and the people responsible needed justice. Enter Nate, he is determine to make things right, so his friend can have peace. He decides to come up with this plan of revenge. There's a snag in his plan though, he falls in love with the defense lawyer, Rebecca. He just wanted a to destroy her but now can't imagine his life without her. He's lost, so he makes up another lie to distance himself from her but then that turns into something more, which in turns destroys her life. He couldn't ask for a better plan but while doing all this planning and deceiving, his heart still wants Rebecca. I must say I thought Rebecca would have caught on to his lies but she was so blinded by love that she never did. She was so naive and gullible throughout the entire book. There were people who saw right thru him but helped anyway. I really hope there's another book for them cause the ending felt like there was more to say. It just kinda left off with no explanation at all. This book was mess with your head so much and make you want to scream at Rebecca that he's a creep, a liar and a user. I'm not entirely sure if he really loves her or if that's really another plot twist. I guess I will have to wait and find out.

I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review

3 I'm not sure what to think Stars

There will be people who will love this book, who will hate it and me? I accept it.
Rebbeca's a corporate lawyer who's always been pliant, always doing what's expected of her and realaying on people's opinions and then she bumps into Nathan. Nathan is a hot contructor who's had a difficult childhood that left him with trust issues and a lot of anger; anger he directs to Rebbeca who was the lawyer of the company he worked for with his best friend who died while working. When he meets her again he plans for revenge but he did not plan in finding her alluring and falling for her.
Personally, I think they fell for eachother mostly because of the sex and their love for the Giants (apparently a deal braker for both hahaha).
I have to comment on the stunt he pulled off. Yes, it was an asshole/coward move but surprinsingly and because of the genious writing I pressume, I felt like he was capable of that and I just went with it. I hated him. I have no compassion and understanding for him whatsoever. But I accepted it.
I'm not sure if at the end Rebecca's decission to go with the flow comes from a place of strengh or from denial; either, I won't judge.
The writing was great and we got to read from both POVs; otherwise this would've been very difficult, but it kept me turning the pages.
With that said, I enjoyed the love scenes, they were hot! And I liked the end, overall and after a lot of thinking.

What is not to like about hot cowboy construction worker Nate Butler. He is charming, fun and sexy as hell on the outside but as you start to get inside Nate’s head he is over raged with the need for revenge. Nate has his sights on Rebecca Butler, the lawyer for Hock Construction for not taking care of Mase’s family after his death. As he slowly works his way into Rebecca’s life, he comes to understand that she was just doing her job.

We quickly see Rebecca come out of her shell after meeting Nate. She was a successful lawyer whos only focus was on getting partnership, working late hours, spending time with who she thought was best. After she decided to give Nate that one date because she can, we see her start to stand up for herself, she starts to care a little less about the job and more about living and being.

As Nate starts to overcome his fears of love and fitting in and Rebecca is realizing that status and money does not make the person that you are. We get to experience a fun free fall of love. Then as Nate changes his tune and decided that Revenge has not been gotten for Mase and Rebecca must pay.

Can their love win? Will hate and revenge destroy everything?

This story is full of twists and turns, just when you think you might have an idea where it is headed, you take a sharp right and then a slow left. Julia will keep you flipping the pages to see where the story ends.

4 mentally exhausting but very solid stars! There was never a dull moment in this book! It starts out with a menage that brought on more questions than anything else and that is what drew me in. I can honestly say I never knew what was going to happen in this book and that was really refreshing. From the beginning I fell in love with Rebecca and I was crushing on Nathan. These two were an unlikely couple that eventually came together even after they were on opposing sides throughout a very difficult time in Nate's life. Rebecca is an attorney that represented the crooked corporation responsible for the death of Nate's best friend Mason while at work. Although my heart went out to Nate, I didn't trust him or his intensions. But then I fell hard for him as did Becca and my view of him changed drastically.

I'm not going to say much more about the plot, except that it was full of twists and downright sickening moments. These characters felt so real and both Nate and Becca were so passionate as a couple. I felt the emotion oozing from the pages and I love when that happens. The only thing that nagged me a bit was the transition of POV within the chapters. It wasn't the smoothest, therefore I found myself re-reading portions when the POV changed without notice. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would definitely read more by this author!

Nathan Butler grew up with a terrible past. Meeting Mason changed his life for the better, they were best friends until Mason's demise from a tragic work accident. After Mason's sudden death, he swore that he would take care of Mason's family and exact revenge on those who wronged him.

All Rebecca Fox wants is to make partner in her law firm. She just won a huge case for a construction company accused of wrongful death. Things are looking up for her. When Nathan Butler takes a job in her building, she recognized him from the trial. Her attraction to him was too much for her to stay away. What happens when lies, betrayal, emotions, and hot sex come together? A crazy twisted wild ride, that's what!

Julia, Julia, Julia...What have you done? The first scene in the book had us wondering what the heck was going on. Throughout the book, we had to go back to the first scene, to see if we could discover the answers. We became so wrapped up in this thrill ride we just held on for dear life. This twisted tale left us hating characters, then liking them, then hating them again, trying not to throw our Kindles. Our stomachs felt hollow for Rebecca, leaving our emotions twisted in knots. If you are looking for a book that keeps you guessing, this one is for you!

We give it 4 sighs.

I’m at a loss for words here…Wow. Twisted Two-Step is not like anything else I’ve come across. Talk about an emotional roller-coaster ride. This has it all – revenge, anger, hurt, love, steamy sex, destruction, devastation, betrayal, lies, I could go on and on. The twists and turns were unique and kept you on your toes with anticipation. I’m still not sure how I truly feel about Nate. He has had it rough and I felt for him. Fell in love with him as he opened up with Rebecca and truly felt happy and loved. Then when things turned…oh my God I HATED HIM and what he did. I was so angry I was shaking. My head still hurts from how tightly I was clenching my jaw! Then to see the pain and agony they were both in just broke my heart. Things did somewhat wrap up quickly in the end. There are so many things that can still happen and I’m extremely hopeful for another book. This book had me completely engaged and enthralled. I loved having both perspectives throughout the book. It really pulled at all my emotions so completely; it was as if this was happening to me or at least to someone close to me. Julia Bramer did an outstanding job of grabbing me from the beginning and all I could do was hold on tight for the ride. I highly recommend reading it!

This is like a 3.75 star for me.

Let's start with the good stuff. Nate...HOLY HOTNESS!!! ::fans self:: ALL of the characters were well-developed and I never had to guess at thoughts, motivations, emotions, etc. The story line was great. It doesn't get convoluted or bog down in any parts, and I never had to question the who/what/where/why/how in the story. I loved the descriptions of the settings too. I felt like I was there with them with the descriptions of the smells, how the air felt, etc. And the sex scenes were SO hot, as in like wow, someone-hose-me-down hot!

The story was TWISTED and f***ed up. I understand that...it's a revenge story so I expected that. It's a REALLY GOOD revenge story.

But in the end I was left feeling that it just wasn't RIGHT! I wasn't happy with Becca at all. She developed really well all through it up to the end where it seemed to me that she reverted to the naive doormat she was at the beginning. And Nate...I understand the need for revenge but I truly hated what he did. It wasn't until the last few pages and the surprises that lurk there that you truly saw a change. But I was left with a bad taste in my mouth with all the secrets and lies still hanging around in the end.

This story had one twist after another and it was a crazy ride!

First I will say that the Prologue had me intrigued, and the first few chapters had me liking Nate (Nathan) but then I just felt bad for Rebecca. She had no clue what was going on, and I wish I could say that she was just a dumb person but she really wasn't, it was just that Nate was very, very sneaky.

The meaning of revenge is: the action of inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong suffered at their hands
or
inflict hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong done to (someone else)
Nate takes this to the extreme, he is holding Rebecca responsible for something that had nothing to do with her other than the fact that she was the defense attorney for the responsible party.

I cannot say more without giving a lot of the twists away but I will say that this was one roller coaster ride that I enjoyed.
roller coaster of emotions

This book was gifted to me by the author for a fair and honest review.

This was my first time reading this author. I thought from the title this was going to be much more country cowboy-ish but it is not. It is actually a story about Nathan Butler and how growing up under privileged left him broken and wanting revenge for an work related accident that took his only friend. Nathan vows for revenge when the company refuses to take responsibility for the accident.

The company lawyer Rebecca is the beautiful up and coming young professional trying to make her way in the male dominated field. She win the case for the company only adding fuel to Nathan's need for revenge. She becomes the means to an end for Nathan in his plan for revenge.

I think I was hooked at the opening scene. Definitely deserving of the erotica tag, but that is where it ended. And I felt the opening scene flashback gave to much away. Don't get me wrong I couldn't put the book down, I loved the story but I felt like I knew what was coming from the beginning.

The ending was definitely a twist I didn't see coming and I always love HEA, so I easily gave this book 4 stars.

I finished TwiSted TWo-SteP by Julia Bramer last night and really hated to see the last of Nate & Rebecca's. This story was well told and had plenty of unexpected moments and fascinating "twists" which keeps the reader on their toes. I was definitely caught off-guard with the first scene in the book - did wonder if menage scene would be explained later in the book. The story moved at a fast pace with no dull or boring moments at all. I'm not a spoiler reader so I like the read to discuss all the "wow moments" and not have the surprise be spoiler. Definitely going to read more of this author's books - she has a great writing career ahead of her! lenty of unexpected moments and fascinating "twists" which keeps the reader on their toes. I am an independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock, I'm giving this one 4 fangs.

The prologue grabbed me and pulled me in. Starts off with a bang so to say.

It is the story of Rebecca and Nathan. They are from two different worlds and life or some plotting has thrown them together. Rebecca is a laywer - she is smart, confident and you hope she finds happiness.
Nathan is a wonderfully hot man, who lost his best friend in a construction accident and his childhood was sad. He comes looking for revenge. The prologue is in the present then the story is told from past to future.

I like the way that Ms. Bramer characters are well defined, balanced and the story is full of plot twists that will have you screaming, crying or wanting to physically harm a character or two. Oh, and yes the book is steamy. A book that makes you feel is a book worth reading more then once!

If you are looking for a great steamy romance with some mystery and a few twists that you don't see coming - Twisted is definitely worth the time.

This book started in the present and then went back into the past and I knew immediately that this was going to be a book full of twists and turns. I didn't know, however, what exactly was going on at first, I was intrigued to find out the unanswered questions from chapter 1. I really liked Rebecca even though I felt like she was quite a bit naive. And Nathan I liked one minute and hated the next. He is bound and determined to get revenge for his best friend that died, Mason. What he thinks and how he goes about it are very out there in my opinion. You know when you read a book and you feel like the storyline isn't fresh?? Well that is definitely not the case in this one. It is a category in its own. I was really conflicted on how to feel about Nathan and his acts, but it is written very well. I wish there had been more of a conclusion so to speak but again I will say overall it was a good book. This was a 4 star read. A copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

This is my second Julia Bramer book and this one is twisted with a capital T, and I loved every page of it...

Nathan Butler and Rebecca Fox, what to reveal without totally spoiling the book.

I really liked Nate in the beginning... then things went south!!! :) In a good way. His best friend is killed and he wants the ultimate revenge.

Rebecca Fox, she's vying for the partnership at a one of the best law firm in San Fran. Her case was one that cleared the company Nate worked for in his friends death.

Little does she know that Nate has scripted the next several months of her world to get his revenge...

Uniquely written, captivating and compelling, Julia Bramer takes you for a wild ride. Twists and turns I never saw coming kept me on the edge of my seat and wouldn't let go until I finished the book. Weeks later I still find myself thinking about the ending, shaking my head.

If you love a steamy, romantic page turner, you have to pick this up, but be warned... you are going for a thrilling ride.

Personally I found this book refreshing. Choice is what we all have and so many people use excuses instead of making our life what we choose it to be. Bad childhood, abusive parent, grew up poor etc. I loved the authors words about not letting childhood ruin your happiness. Something in the sense that you have a choice. Such words of wisdom!

The book starts with a menage and one unsure participant. Next thing you know we are taken to the past to where Nathan & Rebecca meet. I liked going back to where it all began. This book takes you through all steps and makes it that much more thorough and enticing.

Nathan was not a very likable character when all this started. He is so wrapped up in revenge it made him unappealing. I bounced back in forth from hate to not. I was so wrapped up in confusion with my own emotions but in the end I have to say my heart went out to Rebecca.

This book was interesting and I would recommend it but beware this is an vortex of emotions and It will draw you in and suck you into a story you will have a hard time putting down.

What would you be willing to give up or lose for revenge? Nate and Rebecca are brought together by Nate's need for revenge, but the lines become a little blurry when feelings and attraction becomes involved. The story writing was so very real that I felt myself being drawn into Nate's life and I feel for him and it sure helps with understanding how he got to where he is. Rebecca was also very well written and I felt myself feeling like I knew her. She was living a single focused life and had it all planned out to get to what she considered to be the top of her profession. This story really is like a dance and certainly the two step. They both take steps backwards and forwards right up until the very end when decisions must be made that will change lives. Do not make plans to do anything else once you start reading this book, because everything else will stop until you finish the dance!

Holy F-balls!
The prologue starts the roller coaster ride and it never stops until that ride pulls back into the station.
The title Twisted TWO-STEP truly describes this book and all of its glory. Rebecca quickly becomes a woman that stands up for herself and Nate has so many things from his childhood that you truly wonder if he can overcome the odds.
The truly twisted story of their love combined with the friendship of Mase and the demons Nate fights within himself everyday make for a heartwrenching story that you just can't put down. This is not an easy story to read because you know that it isn't wrapped in neat paper with a big shiny bow on top. You will have to wade through the mess that is their life, jobs, family & most of all revenge to get the story you hope for. If you can make it through all of that, you will be happy in the end...
I only stopped reading to go bed then work and immediately finished when I got home the next day.
