Introducing STEPBROTHER COMMANDS, book seven of the dark and sexy new romance series, HIS TWISTED GAME, by Chloe Hawk…
One family with devastating secrets…
Avery Buchanan has always hated her older stepbrother, Cole. With his piercing blue eyes and ripped body, Cole has gotten everything handed to him, floating through school and life effortlessly.
One girl who will never forget…
But when Cole leaves Avery and their dysfunctional family behind and heads to New York City to create Buchanan Enterprises, one of the most successful tech firms in the world, Avery vows never to forgive him.
One man who won’t take no for an answer…
After getting kicked out of the house by her mentally ill mother, Avery has no choice but to ask her stepbrother for help. Cole agrees to let her stay with him, under one condition – that she follow his rules, whatever they are, no questions asked.
Cole is used to getting what he wants – and what he wants is Avery, no matter how wrong it is....
At what point will this book end? The wait is long and now we are on book eight..the story is starting to frustrate me. The hero continues to be full of secrets with no straight answers while the heroine continues to question things with no answers. Each book has a cliffhanger and we have no answers as to what is really going on. I not trying to be mean or attack the author but am starting to feel duped in this confusion of books.
WHAT A WICKED WEB SHE WEAVES !!! Oh my! What a wicked web she weaves! Chloe Hawke has woven a delightfully wicked web of forbidden romance, intrigue and suspense! Stepbrother Commands is the seventh book in the powerful new series, His Twisted Games by Chloe Hawk. This is a fantastic read but please be aware, this is a serial so be forewarned, it has multiple installments and nail biting cliffhangers but it also means that it's perfect for a quick lunch break read. And if you have Kindle Unlimited, it's all gravy! Personally I love serials but I recognize they may not be everyone's cup of tea. The story is exciting, thrilling, compelling, erotic, romantic, sensual and sexy. The dialogue is smart and well written although there are a few, quite distracting, editing errors in this book for which I am subtracting a star. The characters are captivating, engaging and intriguing. Hawkes skillfully combines these elements into a decadently sinful and wonderfully entertaining romance. Hawks has really opened the throttle to wide open with the suspense and intrigue cresting at a fevered pitch, kicked up the heat to a fiery blaze and it is smoking hot! Motives begin to surface and new characters are introduced. Ghosts from the past and long buried secrets begin to emerge to threaten both Avery and Cole. Oh my! This just gets better and better! I was turning the pages so fast my IPad couldn't keep up! Wealthy older stepbrother who managed to escape an abusive father and forced to leave everyone behind-check! Beautiful angry and abused stepsister trying to escape an abusive stepfather-check! Cruel father, unbalanced mother, possible mob connections, and enemies with malevolent intentions-check! Secrets, lies, deceit, intrigue, blackmail, betrayal, suspense, jealousy, corporate espionage and lots of drama-check! Romance, heated attraction, fiery passion, forbidden love and an irresistible little dose of BDSM-you bet! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read! I only have one little complaint - I love this series so much that I searched for a link to sign up for new releases or a newsletter but could not find anything. Hmmm....Maybe I overlooked it? None the less, it's still a fabulous read!
Well, now shes getting punished for her stupidity. Can't say I blame him either. That was a real dumb move Avery.
So far, so good. This book is keeping me interested. In case your wondering...I started out reading this book in a different book called Hurt So Good. A collaboration of books from Kelly Favor, Hannah Ford, and Chloe Hawk. The first couple of "chapters" are in this main book. It is then up to you to purchase the other "parts" of the book. I say parts because you are literally paying to read tiny parts or fractions of a book at a time. I guess in a way that's not to bad so you can read the first chapters to decide if you like it, but I hate only getting a book in little pieces. Annoying!!!!
Cole went to a strip club with friends one night, and sees this chick dancing. He was interested in getting in her pants. She was hot as hell. Problem was when she turned around Cole discovered the girl was his step sister Avery that he hadn't seen in 5 years. Talk about effed up.
Avery never wanted to work in the strip club. She needed money to get out of her house fast. Her step father was coming in her room and watching her while she slept and masturbating all over her stuff. She was desperate to get out before he did something they couldn't come back from.
Cole's father is a piece of crap. He is extremely abusive and hes a sexual predator. He is constantly hitting his wife and "making her pay" for any situation he doesn't like. Avery's mother is a typical abuse victim, sticking around, hoping he will change. She makes excuse after excuse for this d-bag.
Cole decided he was going to take care of Avery. She was going to come live with him and never have to go back home again. The issue with this is they are so sexually attracted to one another they can't keep their hands to themselves. Even though there is no blood relation between them, they were raised as brother and sister, so its hard to see the relationship any other way. To make matters more interesting Cole is a Dom. YUM.
I wasn't sure how I would feel about the whole step-brother thing, but I ain't gonna lie....it didn't bother me like I thought it should. Ill be reading the rest of the story. :) PURRRRRR
I swear if Cole gets attitude with her about this, if he so much as says boo to her about that video, I'm going to stop reading this series! Why? Because as much as I love it Cole needs to follow through with his promise to PROTECT AVERY! I feel like this reviews are more rants than actual reviews. But honestly what am I supposed to write for serial installments other than a rant per book lol
I like the series however the books are just so short and a new one seems to come out every few weeks or so that it makes it a little frustrating. I think I will try one more book and to be honest I won't continue the series if there is 9th book.
Good story but two many cliffhangers.....are we ever gonna get to the heart of this story or what!??!?? It's been dragging out for seven books now, and we still don't really know anything
OMG! these damn cliffhangers are killing me. Just when it's really good bam it's over. I just don't know what to say. Can't wait to find out what happens next.
