A reference guide for the whos, whats, whens, and wheres of the first eight books in the popular Callaghan Brothers series.
What’s in the Callaghan Brothers Guide?
• A list of the books (in order) with blurbs and excerpts • The characters and super-short bios of each • A family tree • A timeline (no big spoilers if you haven’t read the whole series) • Miscellaneous info on things like the Callaghan crest, their cars, stuff like that • The super-secret recipe for Brian McCain’s Virgin Slayer • A special interview with the boys with questions posed by the readers
Abbie Zanders is a USA Today Bestselling Author with more than 55 published romance novels to date. Her stories range from contemporary to paranormal and everything in between. She promises her readers two things: happily ever afters, always, and no cliffhangers, ever.
Born and raised in the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where she sets most of her stories, she’s known for small town romance featuring golden-hearted alpha heroes and strong, relatable heroines. Besides being an avid reader and writer, she loves animals (especially big dogs), American muscle cars, and 80's hair bands.
A nice companion to the series. I liked the time line and the interviews. Hoping that the secondary characters get a HEA as well. Would love to see a next generation series. I want to see a few of those girls follow in their daddies foot steps.
This is a great series and the guide brought me back to the joy and fun of the family. Most is up front of book list, character bio, etc., but the interview is top notch! I would love to see an interview with the women!
A clever idea to add a companion book to this series on the main characters. With so many leading men, their lovely wives, and now kiddos, it can get confusing.
It may be difficult to review a "guide", but not for me. I love it. I typically take notes on each book in a series and put together a half baked time line the best I can. But, this one is perfect because the author knew what she wanted for each book, character and plot. So, I have to say, you won't regret getting this book. I purchased after I read book 1.
The guide doesn't give away enough information to give away the books, but, helped me as continued with book 2 and 3 and it helped me to keep things straight, AND I took very few notes that leads me to the next books in the series.
This is only valuable if you've read only 1 or 2 books or never read the series. Most of what's in this are synopses of each of the books, a list of characters (with some descriptions), and a list of the cars they drive (so what).
The only points of interest were the drink recipe and the interview with the characters, which most authors tend to list as bonus items on their blogs/websites. This was a waste of money.
This was a great idea! Abbie Zanders created a timeline and synopsis of the Callaghan family. It untangles the web that family creates. The best part was the interview with the Callaghan men and friends. I'm not going to spoil it by telling about it, but you don't want to miss it!
This was a quick read that answered questions I didn't know I had and makes we want to reread the series. There should be a way to get credit for retreads on Goodreads. Anyway enjoyed, time well spent.
4.5 stars. I found this to be a good accompaniment to the Callaghan series especially the time line. My favourite part of the book was the interview the author has with the Callaghan brothers had me chuckling
