Fun quick read set in the near future in the same universe as Tom Clancy's Net Force. The series focusses on teens that are part of a group that is affiliated to the FBI's internet division, Net Force.
The book is about Megan O'malley who inserts herself, with Net Force's approval, into the investigation about online identity theft resulting in serious damage. For the investigation Megan and her father travel to a luxury island resort to investigate which of the staff of the resort is responsible for the thefts.
It's a short and simple book but quite fun. Megan's investigation results in very little, and she needs the help of the son of one of the victims as well as Mark Gridley to finalise the investigation. Mark Gridley is the son of Jay Gridley from the main Net Force series but some of the details do not align, e.g. the name of Mark's mother and his age.

Follows the same basic formula as the previous NET FORCE novels written by Diane Duane. She begins with a mysterious event, then spends most of the book fleshing out the exotic backdrop against which the Net Force investigation is taking place. Whereas her previous books revolved around virtual environments, END GAME mostly takes place in the real world, at a futuristic island resort called Xanadu. It actually makes for a great setting, but all the time spent exploring the resort's technology and operations never really pays off the way it ought to. Instead, we are given a very perfunctory resolution that could've just as easily taken place 100 pages earlier, had there not been a minimum word count Ms. Duane needed to reach.
