Second book in the Ryker brothers series.. and Cali Mackay has out done herself with this one.... an erotic who done it.. with such Hot sexy scenes between Gabe and Hayden... the first few pages started off their sexual encounters and attraction and of course Gabe could just not keep his hands of Hayden....oh Boy story was so hot my Kindle almost caught fire... have to admit I broke out in a sweat a few times...I laughed.. I even cried for them both..could they overcome their past lives.. or the threat out there that pulls them into a race against time to save the Ryker family... This book was one that I could not put down had to finish it....this book could be read as a stand alone but I would advise you to read the first book in the series... So move over Christian Grey there is a new Guy here to knock you off your pedestal his name is Gabe Ryker

The magic wang that requires no consent.
star for good spelling and decent grammar.
-4 stars for failed alpha male hero, and bad characterisation in general. This is in essence a bad porno with some half hearted dominant/submissive elements.
Hero pays lip service to how "intelligent and independent" heroine is, while disregarding everything she wants or says. No means yes (err hello, rapey much? "Lol you know you want it" doesn't make everything okay). Everything centers around what he wants, right now, no matter what the heroine wants. The number of times he has "grabbed her" to insist on discussing sensitive matters, forcing PDA in inappropriate places, or outright forced sexual attentions on her is too many to count.
The heroine is a cardboard cutout so shallow that all she is in this book is there sexy piece of meat for the hero to vent his magical sexual favours on. Her role in the book is so empty you could replace her with a blow up doll.
Is this what other women find sexy??? I'm slightly horrified and disappointed at the same time to find women writing sexy fantasy fiction like this that demeans male/female relationships for other women to consume.

This is the love story of Hadley and Gabe. Hadley's marriage was just finalized and she wanted to celebrate by sleep with a handsome man, Gabe. Everything was good until she walked into a meeting with her new client and was Gabe. She didn't think that they should continue having sex, but Gabe had other plans. I enjoyed this love story, the characters, sexual tension, sex scenes and it gave me some suspense. This was a good reads.

Thoroughly enjoyable
Good story, great strong characters Gabe and Hadley are well written and their love affair is filled with steam, humor, love and angst. There is even a little suspense however it is so short and almost at the end of the book that it misses the mark hence the 4 Stars well worth purchasing and reading ......

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this review, especially since I know Alpha-males are all the rage, but I'm slowly getting over that fad. Gabe Ryker is used to getting what he wants, and if the answer is no, he'll take it anyway.
When Gabe and his brother Morgan are driven off a road, his family calls in an investigation team to help the local police find out who is not only behind that, but also the arson to Gabe's older brothers' girlfriends' restaurant a month earlier. McFee Investigations sends in top investigator Hadley to help out.
Fresh off her finalized divorce from her lying, cheating, stealing ex, Hadley is not looking for anything. When approached by an unwanted and drunk seat mate at a bar, Hadley is in the midst of trying to send this loser packing when Gabe steps in and helps her out. Then helps himself to Hadley.
As for a one night stand, Hadley is all in. Until the next morning, when she meets her newest client, and realizes that her one night stand is her newest client, and he's not quite done having his fill.
As much as Hadley liked Gabe, she in no way wants to jeopardize her job and her reputation, so she tells Gabe it was fun, but it's over. Unfortunately, this is where the book lost me. Gabe refused to take Hadley's goodbye, and doggedly pursues her, to the point of harassment, and obsession.
For someone who is as supposedly smart as Hadley is, her reasons for not wanting to pursue anything with Gabe are valid, but "her body" disagrees. So when Gabe practically rapes Hadley, she succumbs because it's what her body "wants", despite knowing that if this gets out, she's ruined. And when it does get out that she is involved with Gabe, Hadley wants to run and save her career and reputation, and Gabe handcuffs her to his bed until he can "fix" things, and then blames her when she wants out of the relationship.
The mystery that started in book one was concluded here, and despite the series continuing on, I'm done. I love men who like to take charge and take care of their women, but this went beyond the extreme. Sadly, I didn't even feel like the characters had any chemistry or anything in common to make this obsession worthwhile. If some women feel like Gabe's actions were romantic, then more power to them, I felt like this was abuse, fueled by a battered woman who thought that Gabe was better for her than her ex, who paid her no attention.

I hate rating anything below 3 stars but this book was hard to complete. The H was a bully, didn't want to stop when the h said no and the h would then give in. Didn't feel the chemistry. Ending seemed rushed. But, I'm a sucker and want to get Morgan's story...hope it's better than the first two.

Great Book

This is the 2nd book in the The Billionaire's Temptation series. It is not a stand alone novel and I would recommend reading the first book in the series prior to reading this one. I will say that I recommend it but don't feel it's necessary. The author gives us a enough details from the prior book to provide us with the information that we need without going overboard.
Hadley Moore, is brought to Portmore to investigate some crimes that occurred in the prior book. After receiving a call that her long overdue divorce is finalized she has a one nightstand. Now this one night stand doesn't end when Hadley kicks the sexy Gabe out of her bed. Hadley's first day on the job she comes face to face with a man she didn't think she would see anymore, Gabe.
The books in this series are increasingly getting hotter and hotter with each book. This book offers mystery, passion, and love. Again just like the last book I really did enjoy it but and I hate to say it by the ", yeah?" only increases. Since the police have come up empty in their search, Hadley has to dig deep to see if she can find connections that they didn't. Only problem is that before the investigation officially starts, she finds a connection--a love connection, okay a one-night connection--who happens to be one of the Ryker brothers. Conflicted by her feeling for Gabe as well as the need to keep their 'relationship' under wraps until she's off the job things get complicated, and hot, fast.
If you liked Beautiful Bastard, you'll like this one.

Gabe Ryker meets new divorcee Hadley and the sparks fly!! Gabe is the definition of a hot alpha male. Someone is trying to destroy the Rykers and Hadley is a consultant and Gabe has all sorts of consulting planned, naked, of course. This is book two in the sizzling Billionaire's Temptation series. I loved Gabe, he was brilliantly domineering, showing he is a take control man but glimpses of the of the man inside also come through. I enjoyed the banter between Gabe and Hadley. This book has romance, very steamy scenes, a mystery to solve. It is a page turner. The characters are amazing. This book could be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading Seduction and Surrender. Meet the Rykers and get the background on this fabulous family and their lady loves!

In this book it centers on Gabe and his womanizing ways. He is a real love them and leave them guy. Until her meets Hadley. This is a great story and the characters are great. This book does contain profanity and sex scenes so it is not for everyone. Join Hadley as she gets to know Gabe and help solve the mystery. Now I have to read book 3.

Normally shorter stories leave you wanting more character development etc. But this one is so complete and strongly written it was a joy to read.

It is a strong story with lots of love, sex and steamy scenes. A great read will keep you turning the pages. I can't wait to read the next book!

As always Cali MacKay has written another great book that hooks you in, this is book 2 in the Billionaire's Temptation series, Gabe and Hadley's story and WOW what a story full of who was it, also many HOT moments, you may need to fan yourself lol.

holy cow. this book was GOOD. I loved the steam. And Gabe was awesome.

The tie of the book should be Fuck and babe
The male character was a spoiled brat. All he talked about was SEX. He didn't give a damn about what the female wanted. There was no depth to either character. The first book in this series should have been the only book. I refuse to read the last book for fear of the words FUCK AND BABE which were used in every other sentence.

I bought this book so that I could find out who the arsonist was. Nice twist there. I had a little bit of a problem with this book because the lead male characters from this book and the first book are brothers yet they seemed like the same guy. The story was fine and the characters were alright.

Hadley tried to deny her attraction to Gabe, but he was way too irresistible. The Ryker men are sexy when they dominate their women. Hadley deserved true love, and it was time for Gabe to find love! They were sexy, hot, and perfect together! I am enjoying this series!

Wow
Gabe and Hadley are adorable together. They were truly made for each other. Crazy way to begin their relationship but it helped her to get over the deceit of her ex and sister. Have was amazing with her. I can't believe the nerve of that sister though I mean come on really.
