Rate this book
After nearly ten years apart, Brooke Anderson collided with the one she let get away. The once cocky, conceited and arrogant Rich Davis was now her potential employer and seemed off-limits. Brooke wanted her successful career more than a chance at love. But, was it really her choice to make, or was it beyond her control?

Rich not only offered Brooke her dream job, but his heart as well.

Just when everything seemed like a perfectly scripted fairy tale — tragedy struck.

Will Rich and Brooke’s love survive? Will their script finally end in the Happily Ever After they both so desperately desire?

Maybe their story is, in fact, Unwritten

The Unwritten Duet Box Set
Let me just say, I have enjoyed this series. I happened to read, Cassidy and Blake's story first. Which in turn made me want, to find out all the dirt on, Rich. I could not fully read between the lines, when the girls would talk about, Rich and his many, Cassieisms nicknames. However, there is a lot of baggage that, comes and goes with this couple.

There is laughter, and wit, along with happy, and sad tears. But, the one thing that holds true throughout this series is the bond of sisterhood between, Brooke and, Cassidy. Rich repeatedly flirts with, and tells, Brooke he loves her, but at the same time keeps doing things, to show her and by omission by saying otherwise. That he may not, in fact, love her. Why is that?

This book does have triggers for women who have lost a child sometime during their pregnancy. To be told they may not be able, to have a child. Which is heartbreaking for, Brooke to hear. When Rich lives through his, own trauma at the same time, the ripple effect casts a wide net. This too can cause, a trigger.

It's when, Rich’s old college interest, who was or is a thorn in, Brooke’s side. Keeps popping up like a bad penny. Bad things tend to happen. Yet, the final time, Aubrey comes around, you didn't see him man up, to his boss on his girl’s behalf. Not like walking away, or being let go would cost him anything, he’s wealthy, right?

At each of the wrong turns, that tends to happen in, Brooke and, Rich’s relationship he brought it on himself. Like, Aubrey. If he told, Brooke he would wait for her. Why then, did he jump into a relationship with, Aubrey so fast? What was the reason for his personality change, the night of her sorority formal, on the boat after talking, to Aubrey?

The Unwritten Duet (The Unspoken Series) by M.C. Decker is a contemporary, new adult, enemies to friends to lovers, second chance romance.

Book one, Unwritten, the author's debut novel, follows the relationship between the main characters, Brooke and Rich, while in college and then 11 years later when Brooke shows up for a job interview and discovers that Rich is the boss. There is a lot of push and pull, back and forth between the two and I found both characters' behavior to be frustrating at times even though I was rooting for them. If I did not have the box set I would have been very irritated with the cliffhanger ending as this book is not a standalone.

Book two, Unscripted, picks right up where the previous one ends. I found the beginning to be somewhat disjointed and confusing as it moved back and forth between past, present, reality and dreams. Brooke and Rich both have some serious trauma and baggage to work through in this story. For a while, it doesn't look like the relationship will be able to survive the obstacles that they've faced. They eventually do find their way back to each other and their happy ending.

Overall, I enjoyed this story. I liked all the characters, including the secondary ones. At times the dialogue was awkward, and better editing could have made what was happening at the beginning of book two much clearer. But for a debut, this was a great start. I will be reading more from this author in the future.

Such a great story. At the end of the first one, I was in tears only to find out it was only a dream. By the time I was done with the second in the duet. I was in love with Brooke and Rich. The humor and distrust that Brooke had was amazing. The love and dedication Rich had for her was unbelievable. One of the best stories I've read in a long time. Loved this duet and all the characters including the Sass from Cass. This is a must read. Already on the next book and almost done. You definitely need to read M.C Decker's books.

A great romantic story. Follow Brook and Rich as they fall in love and fight for their relationship. There was plenty of highs and lows along the way. The angst kept you hoping there was an HEA for them. I am glad both books were together because at the end of the first book I was like what the h**l. I am glad I could start the second book right away.

Book 1 : Unwritten

This was an Amazing book, I saw the book trailer first, and I
have to say I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Rich and Brooke will melt your heart, two people who have always had a great connection, and even after the years go by they really never forget about each other, they just move on with their lives. Rich always secretly hopes that someday Brookes application will pass across his desk, so he could see her again. Brooke dream is to work for the Washington Post someday, little did she know her world was about to be turned upside down, when she is called for an interview at the place she has always dreamed of working for. Her best friend Cassidy is the amazing, and her god daughter Kaitlyn is the sweetest little girl ever. Loved her Dad, they have such a great relationship. The ending blew me away, I felt Brooke's pain, I'm kinda freaking out not knowing what happened. I can't wait for the next book. This book is a page Turner, once you start it you won't be able to put it down. This is the first book I have read of M.C. Decker and I'm hooked, I can't wait to read more of her books, she is Amazing! So don't waste anymore time grab this book up, you won't be disappointed, it will just leave you wanting more, Its worth more than 5 stars. and the Bonus scene loved it.

Book 2 Unscripted

Book 1 (Unwritten) left me devastated, I couldn't wait to get Book 2 (Unscripted) in my hands. This book was beyond amazing, it made me laugh, and cry, my emotions were all over the place. My heart broke for Brooke and all the pain she went through. Glad Aubrey got what was coming to her, what a Bit**. You will love this book, such an emotional read, so have your Kleenex ready you will need them. MC Decker never disappoints, her books are Phenomenal, they take you there, and make you feel what the characters feel. Definitely recommend this book, start with Unwritten believe me you will be so glad you did, this Author is the Best. This is a 10 star read, so grab it up now.

First off, I want to say THANK YOU MC, for the ARC of Unwritten. I so liked the book so much. The character development and story line…..wow! I could not put it down! I was sooo frustrated by/for the characters (in a good way), the way they kept missing each other, but, when Brooke and Rich finally do get together in the book….magnificent! I loved all, lead and sub, characters in this book. Will there ever be a book for Cassidy?
Next, MC, I am extremely sorry for all of the names I was calling you yesterday evening while reading Unscripted! I think I went thru three tissues. However, I kept reading and made it to "Next Day - Brooke". You may live! However, Aubrey may not!! By the way MC, I finished Unscripted the same way I started it, with tears. However, this time they were happy tears, very happy tears.
The story of Rich and Brooke is a love that is meant to be. I do not want to go into any further descriptions, however, if you love a GREAT romance story, READ THESE BOOKS.
I loved this story so, so much. MC Decker did a phenomenal job writing these stories. The emotional roller coaster during these books really cannot be described. Unwritten and Unscripted are two books in the Unspoken series, although each is a standalone book, you really need to read both to understand all of the intricacies in the series. This is why MC has re-released them in a box set. I cannot wait to read more from MC Decker. MC, you are an extraordinary author! Thank you for writing.
Thank you for reading my review

This review is for Unwritten
Soooo as I finished this book I was cursing MC!!!! But I'm getting ahead of myself. I was instantly drawn to Brooke and Rich. Second chance romances are some of my favorite stories to read and this one did not disappoint! True love never dies no matter how long it's been.... 10 minutes or 10 years, it doesn't matter. And that's especially true for Rich and Brooke! And then of course add in Cassidy who is Brooke's best friend and Princess Kaitlyn and you have some of my very favorite characters! Fair warning right now though, you will need Unscripted immediately because I about freaked the heck out! Like I said, MC is lucky k have Unscripted ready to read! Im diving right in now!!!

This review is for Unscripted.
I'm going to try to make this review as spoiler free as possible! Unscripted picks up right where Unwritten left off. All the burning questions we wanted answered are and are answered in due time. That being said life throws curveballs at you and Brooke has faced many and has many more to face. It's how you handle life and those situations that make a person who they are. It makes Brooke one of THE strongest woman I know. She's kick ass and fierce and with her best friend Cassidy at her side there isn't anything Brooke can't face or handle. This review really doesn't do his story justice because I absolutely loved this story! But I don't want to give anything away at all! Does Brooke get her happy ending and true love? You'll have to read and find out. Trust me, you don't want to miss out!

First off, MC I can not wait to meet you next month and have this beauty signed and sitting on my bookshelf!! Second, this series deserves a hella of a lot more than five stars!!! My emotions have just went on the rollercoaster of a life time. I laughed, cried, and found myself wanting to strangle some the characters at times. Brooke and Rich go through it all and come out some of the strongest characters I have read. Their HEA couldn't have been more beautiful.

Now I want to give some attention to two of the secondary characters. First I wish I had my own bbopof! Cassidy is an amazing best friend. You don't find many friends who would drop what they are doing and jump on plane for you. Blake aka Early, is an amazing father and best friend. My heart broke for him in Unscripted but, like Rich and Brooke, he became a stronger character through his tragedy.

Just an amazing series. These characters will forever remain in my heart❤

What can I say about this amazing series and my main loves, Rich Davis and Brooke Anderson that would do justice? Theirs is a love story that makes you happy, breaks your heart, destroys you at times and has you fall in love a thousand times over. I have read both books in the series numerous times and even knowing what's about to happen it feels like the first time all over again. I would recommend these books to anyone and everyone. Just be warned, you will suffer a major book hangover after reading this!!!
Now, even though I own both Unwritten and Unscripted as separate novels I HAD to purchase the duet release. There are THREE bonus scenes from Unwritten told in Rich's POV and boy, let me tell you, they are HOT!!! I cannot wait to see what the magnificent M.C. Decker has in store for us in the future but I am a devoted fan for life!

MC Decker's debut novel Unwritten and it's sequel, Unscripted on one box set!!!

Unwritten and Unscripted follow the story of Brooke Anderson and Rich Davis. Their story is over a decade in the making and many twists and surprises make up their journey. I absolutely loved their story and all the things they had to overcome to finally get to their happily ever after. I can't wait to see what MC Decker brings us next!!!

I really wanted to like this one, but the book and I didn't get along. I thought Brooke was way too stubborn, was quick to jump to conclusions and was a bit too "poor me". Rich was a bit of an ass, I liked him a bit more than Brooke. The MCs best friends were the couple I was really interested in, but we never got the story of what was going on with them.

I enjoyed this set, they had a long road to their HEA but they got there. Sometimes I had trouble connecting with the characters but the author did a good job of reconnecting.
