Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
These paperback comic books are made from screengrabs from the cartoon, with little to no new illustration. The cartoon is fantastic, but this adaptation is clunky and not great to read. For example: The dialogue is mostly lifted directly from the show, but sometimes the punchline of a joke is given while omitting the setup line before it, ruining the joke. Throughout, the action is narrated by captions in great detail, while the screengrabs show a frozen keyframe that doesn't really indicate what the caption describes. Comic book artists employ certain tools to indicate movement in their art, while the animators on the cartoon used a different set of tools. The sense of movement that is so integral to the identity of the show is lost in translation. There are good comic books based on the show: (1) The Manga by Naoto, (2) "The Arrival," and (3) TFNation 2017's "Trial and Error."
This was fun! I loved the new takes and ideas and how the basic plot is still the same. The style of the drawings are different to get used to but I could totally enjoy this. The Human/Robot interaction is warm and exciting, it is humorous too and makes you feel good inside. I cannot get a copy of Volume 2 anywhere except online to buy! I'm hoping a library around here somewhere has it so I can inter-library loan.
