There are hundreds or maybe even thousands of counting books out there. They all teach 1 through 10 and back again. And many have cute pictures and rhymes or songs to complement them. This book is similar except the whimsical illustrations by Parbbonni will delight parents and children with their Old World charm and joyful images. Every number in the book is associated with an adorable little child and sweet cuddly animals. Even the lizards look warm and swishy. Look inside the book to see that this artist paints a pictorial feast for the eyes. The author, Sybrina Durant is also a lyricist who's melodic verse will have everyone gleefully singing along as the pages are turned. The rhymes are a little quirky yet they lend themselves easily to song. Listen to the song for free at sybrina.com. Visit the website to learn about other children's books by this author.
I am the author of many different types of books. Some are technical and others are fanciful. Illustrated books are my favorite. I believe that you can capture a reader’s attention with a good story but amazing artwork will reel them in and keep them riveted.
Check out my newest series titled Magical Elements of the Periodic Table. Books are presented by unicorns, dragons and wizards. It's Techno-Magical.
Boo's Shoes is my last rabbit and fox book and it is a companion to Cleo Can Tie A Bow! Make sure to put it on your bookshelf so that you'll have it handy when you know someone who wants to learn to tie their shoelaces or any other kind of bow.
Journey To Osm - The Blue Unicorn's Tale is my first full-length novel. Please look for it on these Goodreads Listopia lists and give it a vote up on a few of them. https://www.goodreads.com/list/book/4...
Please look for "The Blue Unicorn's Journey To Osm Illustrated Book For Teens and Older Readers" on this Goodreads Listopia. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9... A vote from you would be fantastic.
I've also written a companion book for little children called "Unicorns From Unimaise - The Magical Metal-Horn Tribe."
I also believe if you teach a child with a story and pictures, they will remember it forever. With that in mind, I wrote the "Learn To Tie A Tie With The Rabbit and The Fox" series of instructional books for boys and girls.

Disclosure: I won a paperback copy of this beautifully illustrated 1, 2, 3 Count With Me book at a Goodreads giveaway. The illustrations are colorful and appealing. The story counts forward from 1 to 10 and then again backwards from 10 to 1. The rhyming is fun and even a matching song at the end of the book.
When trying to teach children counting, I think that it would have been so much better had the animals not been repeated in groups of 2 or 3 for numbers. Example: 1 Sheep and on the page across from it 2 sheep, it would be easy for a child to start counting and come up with 3 sheep because they are basically all together on the two adjoining pages, then 4 Lizard and 5 lizards, so in total on the 2 pages you see 9 lizards, and on countdown, 2 kangaroos and 1 kangaroo appear as 3 kangaroos. Children easily see the 2 pages combined as one large canvas.
Children will be delighted to find an entertaining way to help learn to count to ten. From page one the beautifully illustrated pictures will call out to your child to want to learn to say their numbers. I found this book to be a wonderful learning tool. I can easily see how it could benefit any child who is in that crucial learning stage of learning how to count.
What I also found unique about this book is not only does it focus on learning to count from one to ten, but it also offers the ability to count backwards from ten to one. As an experienced reviewer of children’s books I can attest that this is not the normal thing that you would find in a children’s counting book.
Sybrina Durant has done a magnificent job in her creation of 123 COUNT WITH ME: FUN WITH NUMBERS AND ANIMALS. I found that the beautiful pictures made the learning process a complete job. I highly recommend this book to any young person who is embarking on the journey of learning to count.

The lovely smiling faces of the children featured make counting look so much fun and would, I am sure, encourage children and adults reading it to smile along. Being able to listen to a song related to the book gives it another dimension and continues the fun with a catchy little tune.
All in all I thought this was a delightful little book which youngsters would enjoy looking at and learning from too.
