This book has been a four year project to share what I love, health. The reason this project has been so important to me has been to share my experiences of creating health and to create meaning of our struggles with poor health. Creating meaning of poor health has been the birth place for abundant health. Some of my health challenges have included sever emotional difficulties that ended an 11 year nursing career, bankruptcy, living in a group home, and separation of family and friends, until turning things around to sharing with children and adults how to have fun.
My physical health been challenged from not being able to run for 15 minutes to running my first (close to marathon, 23 miles) on a dirt trail up Breckenridge mountain in Colorado over 12,000 feet, in less than six months from not being able to run 15 minutes. This was also accomplished at the age of 48. One of my struggles with injuries included braking my back snowboarding (a 20% T12 compression fracture) and with a gentle healing practice started snowboarding again in just under two months.
Embracing health has been a wonderful support of creating a life I love. Yet there has been a constant challenge along this road that has included emotional difficulties, financial difficulties, interacting with friends and family, and simply finding peace within myself and living my life. Through the steps written out in this book I have found a way to find this peace that has been so elusive for me in my life. This peace is something I have found within inspiration. Living an inspired life and sharing inspiration with people is living within the greatest peace I have ever known. To create such an inspired life takes self compassion, vulnerability, and a focus of how we would like to interact with this moment. These steps can be used to create health, wealth, relationships, more enjoyable work, and a broader understanding of our own spirituality that we will clearly see by working the steps in this book. And doing so may create our own benefit as well as for people close to us. The greatest gift we can share is our own happiness, love and joy. May this book be of benefit for everyone to create a healthy and inspired life.
There are three steps to the process of “Flow - Creating Unlimited Health.” And the steps are; Find What We Enjoy - Creating meaning of our suffering and what we love.
Doing What We Enjoy - Creating our life purpose from the meaning we have created of our suffering and what we Enjoy.
Sharing What We Enjoy - is applying our life purpose to this moment. And to apply our life purpose to causes of the life we want to live, in this moment. Creating a habit of applying our life purpose to this moment over and over and over again till one day we are doing so with ease, with flow.
Steve Jobs once said in an interview, about success, “The reason why people stop (before creating success) is because it is very difficult, and people are sane. To be able to put up with the struggle and difficulty a person must love what they are doing.” Thus Steve Jobs is saying we must find enjoyment in doing the causes of success.
This is why I am writing this book. By finding, doing, and sharing what we enjoy, we can create a life we love and are inspired to share with others. It takes perseverance to live a life of love and enjoyment, and this perseverance comes from enjoying or loving the “causes” of success, or the causes of health and happiness, not the idea of health and happiness.
