Another wonderful book in the "Need to Know series..." by Max Anders. Love the writing of Max Anders, clear and understandable. The message is very clear and understandable, wonderful compliment to the Bible. Twelve Chapters make the reading easy to finish over 12 days at a chapter a day.
I went through this book in a class setting at my local assembly. It was an excellent read, and it really takes you back to some of the basics of Christianity. It's a great book to go through especially if you're kinda shaky in your relationship with God, or in a bittersweet time. It'll encourage you, remind you to cling to Him, and overall you'll be reminded of how just how awesome God is, His character, and you can think through some things to reinforce your faith, such as "Why Believe in God?" or "Where Is God When it Hurts?"
There's discussion questions at the end of the chapters, and like a fill-in-the-blank review type activity, and there's some scriptures to read also! Each chapter is jammed pack with excellent truths, and it's so much that you have to take the time to chew on it, meditate, and take it all in. God will definitely speak to you personally as you read each chapter!
(My local assembly doesn't believe in the Trinity, and there is a chapter covering the Trinitarian doctrine, but the chapter is still pretty good.)
It's wonderful to read a book all about God!
One quote found in the book that I love is by Abraham Lincoln: "I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but i cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God."
