This book cover much more detailed and covers the most recent advances in RF Microelectronics field. I will continue using it as our major referance book and will recomend my colleques to get one issue in order to satisfy their RF dreams.

Not a very good book. He does not go into enough circuit detail to be helpful.

RF integrated circuit design is, as testified by most people involved in this study, one of the most fascinating fields in RF engineering, even though it might be the trickiest. The nuances make a whole lot of a difference, and it is here that we understand what "the devil is in the details" means. However, the basis is very discursive, and those who have a good grasp of it have a steady foundation to build RFIC's.
I have had the chance to read both editions by Professor Razavi, and although the first edition was a pioneering book in its time, it is greatly outdated. The second edition, however, is more comprehensive; its sections are more articulated and organized. In such a fast-evolving field, remaining up-to-date for too long is out of question, and so it would not be a surprise to see a third edition within the upcoming 10 years. However, all of the required basics are provided here, and reading this book would grant one the needed tools to understand more intricate designs in the literature.
It is an excellent textbook, perhaps the best in this domain.
