Just for clarification, this wasn't the Kindle Edition. I think GoodReads needs to catch up.
Either way, things are making a lot more sense now that I've re-read the series from the beginning. Oni, the bad guy from Lagos is running labs of the Zombie soldiers in Pittsburgh, Berlin and Lagos. So Corinne and Hank are in Berlin to see about destroying the lab. They just happen to run into the little Ninja Guy (Vik?) because the man he rescued from the weird cannibals is being hunted by the same cannibal monster thing that Corinne and Hank ran into in the Sewers.
I think I have it all straight.
Either way, it's starting to make a little more sense now.
