About the author

Prof. Harish Chandra Verma was a Professor in the Department of Physics at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Prior to joining IIT Kanpur, he served Science College, Patna University (1979-1994) as Lecturer and Reader. His research interests are in Nano fabrication using focused ion beam, Magnetism in Graphite on irradiation by ion beam, Nanosize (4 nm-20 nm) magnetic materials, Fe-based alloys, Earth Science etc.

Very much like its successors : comprehensive examples and concise theory .

The book for the 10th class adheres strictly within their scope and does not wander.

The theory is not detailed. There are other books if you a beginner and want a baseline to play from the nought.

Presentation of concepts being crisply laid, it's certainly worth a shot whilst a final revision .
