Tammy Asher was born on November 14, in Flint, Michigan to Mary and Houston Asher. She has one older brother named C. Robert Asher. She lived on a farm in Linden, Michigan until she was in middle school. Her family moved to the suburbs of Flint closer to the factories her parents worked in. Tasher suffered from undiagnosed mild dyslexia until her high school teacher, Ms. Burdick recognized the symptoms and sent her for diagnoses. Ms. Burdick had a big impact of Tasher’s view of the reading disorder. She taught Tasher how to use various strategies and techniques along with technical aids to help with the management of dyslexia. Upon graduation from Ainsworth High School, she went on to Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. After graduation, Tasher was hired by General Motors Corporation in their Memphis Zone. She married on January 14, in Columbus, Mississippi and the couple had 3 children together. Her ex-husband was a pilot in the USAF and relocated from Columbus Mississippi to San Antonio Texas. At which time Tasher decided to quit her job as a district manager for General Motors Parts Division and became a stay at home mother. Until, Tasher was divorced on her 26th wedding anniversary, and she embarked on a new life. Her marriage was broken all to pieces, she was not going to let the divorce break her. Tasher quickly discovered that single life was very different from all those years ago. Like many, she initially was scared. Yet she was determined to become Divorce and Scared NO More! After moving to Houston and despite her dyslexia, she decided to share with others things she learned while rebuilding her life. The launch of DASNM.com quickly received a worldwide following. The logo was inspired by a set of broken pilot wings. Tasher launched the website and became a frequent contributor to various online magazines.

There are many more great topics covered in this brilliant self help book for divorcees. I am blessed to have received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest and professional review.
I was blessed with an amazing husband and 2 more wonderful children after my divorce. Life after divorce can still be amazing. There are many more blessings to come in our lives, we just have to seek out the goodness life has to offer and accept God's mercy along the way.
I am so blessed to have received this book in exchange for a review. After my divorce, I read over 30 books. I read everything I could afford and get my hands on. The quality of this book far surpasses anything I received out of all of the other books combined.
Tasher writes in a way that engages the reader. The chapters are clear and concise with bolded headings and bulleted lists. There are stories to emphasize the advice being given. These stories help the reader relate to their own life.
If you have been through or are getting a divorce you know there are many moving parts. I was amazed at how much work it was to get divorced and overwhelmed at how I was going to proceed from there. Tasher brings to light all of the small intricate details of post-divorce finance. Reminding the reader of some of the necessities to financially protect whatever assets and credit are available. Tasher also notes that with divorce there can be significant lifestyle changes both financial and otherwise and clearly discusses options for dealing with those changes for both the parent and children.
I like that the chapters in the book are ordered to walk the reader though the dealing with financial issues of post-divorce to how to deal with social media. The reader can refer back to specific chapters for encouragement and assistance in dealing with situations that may come up. I was especially pleased that Tasher included a chapter on health to remind the reader to take care of themselves.
One does not consider how many social aspects are affected after a divorce. Tasher touches on many of these such as how to deal with the ex’s family, holidays, and child specific occasions such as birthday, graduation, and weddings. Tasher also reminds us of ways to deal with social media to maintain decency.
Take time to read this book, it is a quick read and can be easily referred back to many times.

In book 2, Practical Advice for the Newly Divorced, of the Divorced & Scared No More! series, Tasher provides guidance for those recently divorced and have found themselves in precarious situations with their ex. For example, positions including running into them in public places, the children’s school events, and relationships with new spouses, separating assets. Also included are recipes for relaxing teas and drinks to aid in digestion, headaches, and stress.
Tasher skillfully tackled the uncomfortable topic of divorce using an eloquent and illustrative approach that allows the reader to throw their feelings of their sometimes unpleasant predicaments out the window and solely focus on the solution. She provides priceless views on how to handle holidays and co-parenting with your ex post-divorce in a way that would appear seamless using her method of divorce etiquette. Another great book of Tasher and Tony. This is the second book of in the Divorced and Sacred No More series. In the first book we saw the emotional support for those who are newly divorced. The second book discusses about the perils of divorce and the impact it can have in life. This book shares opinions on protecting affable relationships with ex-spouses, with an attention on kids and prolonged families. Author Tahser was also divorced on her 26th marriage anniversary. So she has shared all things from her personal experience. The first book was really helpful and that is why I have bought others. And I got this book as really helpful as well. The book will provide the way of reacting the divorce life and making the life great and start over. Divorced and Scared; Practical advice for the Newly Divorced is a must read for anyone in those shoes. I just love to read this book. I really found this book as very useful. If you follow this book, I’m sure you will get a practical idea of living of divorce life. It will teach to accept the divorce life and make a better future. Really fantastic book. It deals with wonderful and helpful tips about the divorce life and its future. I’m sure this book will be helpful for everyone. I’m recommending this second book in the series also.
The 2nd book of Tasher's "Divorce and Scared No More" trilogy is more focused on how to maintain cordial relationship with your ex, and other things that come up after the divorce such as finances, custody set up and impact of divorce to the kids. Unlike the 1st book which focus on the emotional support, this one is more on the practical side of overcoming the pain of divorce.
I love how the author teaches us to focus on taking care of ourselves financially and physically. That even if you're now single, you still have to take care of yourself for YOU and not because of anyone else. Financial struggle is also common since you'll now have to rely on a single-income lifestyle/household (unless you're rich and financially successful).
I would highly recommend this not only to those who are divorced, but also to anyone who is suffering from failed relationships (married or not).
Practical Advice for the Newly Divorced is the 2nd book in the Divorced & Scared No More trilogy and helps the reader with dealing with the everyday situations that they’ll run into with their ex. Topics include custody, children and the impact of divorce on them, as well as dividing personal property. While the first book in the trilogy focuses on helping the reader heal emotionally from divorce, this book is more focused practical tips for daily life. Tasher does a great job on making the reader realize how important it is for them to focus on themselves, both physically and emotionally, but also financially. Everything else falls in to place once the reader has taken care of their own basic needs. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is newly-divorced, or has ended a long term relationship. It will help the reader immensely with getting their life back on track!
A practical guide to healing and restoration after a divorce. A practical experience from Tasher and Tony. Wonderful book. Practical guide book. Few days ago I searched on google and saw that three out of five marriages end in divorce. Of the two remaining, one continues in frustration. Just statistics, but behind these anonymous figures there are people struggling with pain, anxiety, fear and unfulfilled dreams. Many will be able to identify with the emotional trauma associated with divorce. This book together with the many case studies, offers practical guidelines towards restoration and wholeness. This 2nd book of the series will show how to deal with life after the divorce. It must be recommended.
There are many guidelines to help control your finances one at a time a time; you won’t be completely overwhelmed this way.Practical Advice for the Newly Divorced is the second book in the series Divorced & Scared No More. I believe this just goes to show that Tasher and Tony Haynes put self-care at the top of their priority list. It was a nice, little surprise to find a few recipes for soothing baths and refreshing drinks. When you feel good, it branches out into other areas in your life. Children are also a focus here since divorce can become even more difficult when there are kids involved. The author gives great, sound advice on how to deal with certain situations like custody, holidays and even major life events that would eventually happen down the road. It’s truly inspirational.
Practical Advice for the Newly Divorced will help you transform your divorce into a learning experience. After you’ve gotten over the initial shock and pain there are steps you can take to ensure your happiness and security. The biggest takeaway from the book for me, was the author’s insistence on he pain ending. She was right! I thought it would never get any better, but it did. I just had to be persistent follow the book’s tips and advice and I feel like I’m a whole person again. If you’re going through a divorce, I highly recommend that you read this book and any others in the series depending on what state you’re in. This book will help you cope and then move on. Excellent.

This book is advice for newly divorced couple. It provides a practical knowledge from the author Tasher. Being a newly divorced woman isn't easy, but it's a journey that we must all go through when our marriage ends. Since not everyone has that shoulder to lean on, we've gathered the best advice from other women who have been in your shoes. This is an amazing book which addresses issues you are either facing or may be facing in the future. In this great series, Practical Advice for the Newly Divorced is a much needed guidebook for the troubled soul. The emotional turmoil one goes through after a divorce clouds her judgements and that is the time she is the weekest. I had so many questions and this book answered a lot of them. More importantly, it made me think of questions I hadn't asked yet. Tasher's passion to help people in need reflects in her writing. This is a much needed read.
