When he attended the seance, he was informed by the medium that he was gifted with mediumship abilities, and that if he was willing, his wife desired to contact him through a process called automatic writing. Padgett decided to try this experiment. On his first few tries, he was able to make out a few words, positive sensations filled him and inspired him to continue. He was soon able to receive short messages from his wife and father, mother and grandmother. As his spiritual abilities grew, he was able to receive longer and more specific messages from Helen and other spirits who wished to share their knowledge of the spirit world. In her messages, Helen begins by describing her new life in the spirit world. She writes Padgett many beautiful love letters telling of her love for him and her longing to be near him. In the course of these sessions, she reveals to Padgett that there were other spirits who desired to share great truths. These spirits declair they were once mortals and are continually working to help and aid mortals on the physical plane. They said they have reached a level of soul-development that they are now in the highest planes of the spirit-world called the Celestial Heavens and are now angels. They repeatedly encourage him to continue to bring his soul into a spiritual condition through prayer, which would allow them to communicate with him. Although still skeptical, Padgett opened to receive these messages, and as a results he received over 2500 messages in the course of the next 10 years.
The contents of these messages are startling, enlightening, inspiring. They expound on passages in the Bible and inform us of many revelations never before known to mankind. They describe in great detail how death is only the beginning of an exciting journey. That there is much more beyond the separation of the physical body from the spiritual. The thread that weaves all these messages together is the love of God and that it is available for us right now, to receive.
