The title was catchy. For all the people who have been ever called introvert, they'd jump at it. So did I.

It starts by defining what an introvert is, and that it is not a bad thing, and that we should be accepting of our introvert selves. Nothing new, no oh-my-god-i-didnt-know-that moments. And then it got just too general about leading a positive life style. Exercises, eat well, sleep, and what not (just everything you need in "lifestyle" section of newspaper). I don't mind that at all. I just felt that the title should have been something different. I mean those apply to everybody in general - not just introverts, and not just about writers.

I guess I was highly disappointed because the expectations I set were higher. Had the book been titled something else, it would have made more sense.

I would just call it "everything-crammed-into-one" book. It may have gotten a better reading if the title was different, but then I wouldn't have picked it up for reading either.

P.S. Mario MJ Perron did a good job of describing how I feel about the book.

Boring!

This book should have been called, Everything I Already Knew About The Introvert Writer.

I don't know what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. I guess I was expecting a book that gave me new and better insight into the world of an introverted writer. This book told me nothing I didn't already know. And I would guess you would probably already know as well. The only reason I read the whole book is because it was short. I would NOT recommend this book to anyone. I'm just glad it was a free downloadable e-book.

I'm not sure what didn't work for me. He says being an introvert is a good thing, but then implies that you can get over it.

hand wobble.

It is important to reiterate the important lesson in all of this—a lesson I’ve stated in previous chapters and will likely repeat again: You will only get out of this what you are willing to put into it. In other words, marketing is no longer an optional task for writers who want to have their work read by others. Every writer must learn the ropes and do the work to help their books thrive. This can be especially challenging for the introvert writer, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

For a lot of introverts, social media is better than meeting people face to face.

A decent summary but I don't think I learnt anything new here. Your mileage may vary.

Put it on the DNF list in the second chapter. I usually don’t like leaving reviews for books that I don’t finish but GOD.
The first chapter was basically just the author explaining what introversion is (which I think just about everyone who’d pick the book up knows) and telling us it’s okay to be an introvert? Like yeah, dude, I know. They describe being an introvert like it’s some kind of deadly disease that we have to live with and they just keep on repeating that there’s hope for us and other bs.
At one point they even tell a story where a coworker figured out they were an introvert and bURST INTO TEARS! Like... WTF???
They treat it like it’s something we just have to come to terms with like a heart defect.
I just don’t like being around people that doesn’t make me special or different, most people are introverts it’s NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. Christ.
I gave it two stars because it had some cool quotes but other than that it really just frustrated me (and i didn’t even read the whole book) and the advice was pretty dull.

It was enjoyable, good writing, and it at least got me thinking about what my flaws as an introvert are and how I could maybe try tackling those in a more head on way than naturally comes to me. But none of the information the book was particularly life changing or mind blowing. It was just simple things like yes, I'm an introvert and get recharge my being by myself instead of around others. Therefore, I'm not fond of social gatherings. Therefore, I'm not particularly naturally inclined towards marketing. If anything, this book mostly made me just actually face who I am and what I'm capable of, and admit I could find ways to work with that instead of just trying t bootstraps my way through the problem by sheer determination.

Alas, I skipped through most of it. There were one or two good points, but mostly it was surface level 'how to take care of yourself as a introvert'. I was hoping for a more insightful analysis of the connection between introversion and writing. This book is not for me, but that's not to say it will not be of interest to others.

I actually enjoyed this book, because I'm actually a closet writer as I have been for many years, and I'm an avid reader of novels, mostly mysteries than romances and regular novels as far as I can remember. The book held a great cast of notable characters, plot lines and endurances within each character and the ensuing drama altogether! I can hardly wait to read the next book - amen!

It was a free e-book. It really wasn’t that bad. A lot of people have been bashing it in their reviews, but I felt like it provided at least a few good insights, and again, it was a free e-book. It took only an hour or so to read, and it provides enough information to justify the hour spent.

Very helpful and useful

I have always been an introvert and somehow I knew that was the best thing to be in order to be a great writer. Thanks to this book my assumption was confirmed.

Not enough substance for me, nothing new to actually turn introversion into an asset. Might be useful for someone who is new to the concept of introvert/extrovert people.

This is certainly, did not cover the subject matter in the manner I thought it would. However, I did find the book had its merits. I enjoyed the idea, of raising the awareness of the introvert.

A good little book

I liked this book, but it was too short to really make me think deeper about introversion as a writer.

Misspellings and grammatical errors made this difficult to read. A few good thoughts. I’ve read almost all the recommended books.

Too easy and simple

Recommend for amateur readers. Did not learn much. Finished the book rather quickly. Highlighted a little. Did not enjoy much.

Wow, this book really spoke to me! It was an excellent analysis of what makes an introverted writer, and some of the obstacles which may be faced by them along with extremely helpful expertise on how to adapt to and overcome challenges in the writing process. It captured my interest from the very start, because it seemed to describe me spot-on and quickly explained some of the difficulties I have been facing in my writing life. This is a short but very well presented writing tool, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in putting their creative thoughts and valuable stories into words in written form for others to enjoy. There were several rather annoying typographical errors and mistakes which appeared throughout the text in my Kindle edition. But I attribute these problems to limitations in the transcribing process and improper editing procedures. However, even that did not take away from the valuable insight the author has so generously shared with his readers.
