We were assigned some of the articles in this reader as part of our Theories of Interpreting course during the Winter 2024 semester. I had started reading some of the others, but did not have enough time to finish the book due to our heavy course load. So I came back to finish the ones I missed, and ended up rereading the ones we had studied as well. Out of all the books we had to read for that class--and possibly over the course of the Master of Conference Interpreting program--this one was among the most interesting.

As an aside, this was the perfect book to get my mind off things while I awaited the results of my diploma exam because some of the articles require a fair bit of concentration and paying attention. I also got a kick out of reading about the technologies used for some of the early research, like two-track tape recordings.

I found several of the articles of interpreting process models very interesting Moser-Mercer, Gile, and Setton.
