Dredd finds himself the only judge in a Mega-City One that he barely recognizes. Joined by a trio of feral girls, he has taken on his most challenging case: to uncover what happened to the city he has sworn to serve and protect. Lolo, Quill, and Dredd are invited into The Refuge, a grammar-obsessed settlement but Dredd uncovers some Dark Judge cultists who have been stealing babies for their experiments into the secrets of The Green. Collects the finale of the series, issues #9–12.
Better than the two previous, on the basis that (a) it's less grotesque (largely); (b) closer in feel to the epic it seems to be most trying to emulate, The Cursed Earth; (c) the story finally starts to make a bit of sense.
Still absolute nonsense, of course, but at least this nonsense felt closer to typical JD nonsense than the previous two books.
Rated 3 because, yes, overall I "liked" it. Still wouldn't recommend, simply because you have to read books 1 and 2 to get to this point.
