Friendships are forever and love blooms in the most surprising ways in Katie McGarry’s acclaimed Pushing the Limits series. Read three stunning books in this Volume Two collection!
TAKE ME Book 4
Champion kickboxer Haley swore she’d never set foot in the ring again after one tragic night. But then the guy she can’t stop thinking about accepts a MMA fight in her honor, and suddenly Haley has to train him. West Young is everything Haley promised herself she’d stay away from, but as an unexpected bond forms between them, they’ll face their darkest fears and discover love is worth fighting for.
BREAKING THE Book 1.5
For new high school graduate Echo Emerson, a summer road trip with her boyfriend means getting away from it all. And most of all, it means three months alone with Noah Hutchins. But when the source of Echo’s constant nightmares comes back into her life, she has to make some tough decisions about what she really wants--even as foster kid Noah's search for his last remaining relatives forces them both to confront some serious truths about life, love, and themselves.
CHASING Book 5
Tough and independent, seventeen-year-old Abby lets very few people into her inner circle. It's common knowledge in her Kentucky town that she deals drugs, but not even her closest friends know why. But when a deal goes south and Abby's suddenly in danger, she finds herself reluctantly forced to lean on daredevil Logan—a boy whose restless spirit matches her own…
KATIE MCGARRY is an award winning and critically acclaimed novelist of the Witches of the Island series (A Wicked and Beautiful Garden), the Pushing the Limits, Thunder Road, and Only a Breath Apart series and the standalone novel, Say You’ll Remember Me. Katie is a lover of music, happy endings, reality television, and is currently living out her own love story with her husband, three children, her affectionate dog, Rachel, and her very needy cats.
Again, I simply like Katie's style. She keeps it clean and I enjoy being able to read her books without having to wonder if they will be full of trash.
This particular series came to my attention when read first few books via Netgalley and its situations with each character introduced only cemented my appreciation for my own life growing up.
Most tellings of contemporary young adult books were not built around such emotional topics that this author brings to the page at the time the series released, at least not ones that I had read yet anyway.
The teens that make up an ever growing group of main characters touched me deeply so getting to finish the journey I started with them so many years ago made me once again wish with all my heart to hug each one in acknowledgement of just how much they have made this reader proud of where their lives are now taking them into a brighter future.
I was especially happy at how book 5 played out for Abby by its conclusion.
