Definition of Freedom is the second of a very moving memoir series by author Lily Amis.
I was deeply touched by the first memoir and had to read her continuing story. In this second part of her plight, the author shows incredible bravery and tenacity on her plight to get naturalised as a foreigner in Switzerland. As a reader you are taken wholly into her world, feeling every frustration, challenge, obstacle and completely understanding her emotional rollercoaster through years of fighting against a system which appears unnecessarily bureaucratic!
Given our current issues today with refugee status everyone should read this story, to understand the human side of the issue and truly appreciate that this isn't a numbers game - its about basic human rights.
