Very clear and pretty handy tips as well. A lot of the things in reality (as with bench science today) is manufacturer-specific but the general guidelines outlined here are good first principles for understanding investigations in modern labs + getting started. I particularly appreciate the monochrome layout of the book versus overwhelming colors in diagrams that prima facie make sense in a book till you realize they distract from the principles underlying various techniques and what not.
