Reading motivational self-help books, I LOVE the highlighting function on my Kindle! This books was no exception as I have quite a few pages of highlights. You really ought to read the book, and with only 140 pages it was a quick read but with lots of useful and inspirational take-aways.

To get us motivated, Baker asks questions like 'why do some people want to change while some resist change?' and 'why are some people able to wake up early and work harder compared to some?' She makes us think about what we may want to change and why.

I found this sentence thought provoking;

"Successful people talk about ideas, average people talk about things and small people talk about other people."

Another few which caught my eyes;
“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.”
"Remember each time you fail you are simply learning another way not to be successful. Failure is simply and opportunity to be educated in success. If you avoid failure, how will you ever have the opportunity to learn to be successful?"
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give"

Very subjective statements with their credibility questionable + Paraphrases of those statement + Random examples that either don't back up the statement or outright absurd and heavily biased + Some more quotes to look smart = This book. I gave up at 17% into the book so can't say if the book gets better in the later chapters (not that I believe it can).

It works like a Mentor !!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has blurred vision of what he or she wants in life but no clue where or how to start it. It clears your mind and gives you clear direction. Excellent !!
