Ace and Thrasher share a special bond. They’ve never acknowledged that connection and have never fully acted on it. The Humanoid Alliance kill cyborg males like them, deeming the warriors to be defective. Now that Ace and Thrasher have escaped, they don’t trust the cyborg council and their brethren to react any differently. Physical love is too risky for them to consider.
Until they meet her.
Carys is the Commander of a Rebel Battle Station. She has dedicated her lifespan to seeking vengeance against the Humanoid Alliance and the cyborgs who killed her daughter. On her battle station, she makes the rules, and if she wants to kiss, touch, and pleasure two mysterious warriors, she will. Nothing, not even enemy warships and a mass cyborg rebellion, can stop her.
In the midst of a war, enemies can become lovers and loyalties can change in a moment. Can a forbidden relationship between two cautious cyborgs and one unbending human Commander survive?
Hers To Command is Book 8 in the Cyborg Sizzle series. Due to the number of returning characters in this story, you’ll enjoy Hers To Command more if you’ve read the other stories first. This is a MMF BBW Cyborg SciFi Romance.
USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Sax writes steamy cyborg and alien romances. Her stories have been featured in Star Magazine, on TV, and numerous romance top ten lists.
When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world with her Dear Wonderful Hubby, meeting new people, visiting new places.
The cyborg council is ready to deal a decisive blow against the Humanoid Alliance. In a multi front simultaneous shock and awe maneuver, they plan to cripple the Alliance fleet and liberate cyborgs. The odds are in their favor especially if the Rebel Alliance agree to an alliance and join in.
Ace and Thrasher are partners routinely sent out on top secret missions for the cyborg nation, but if their real relationship were to be discovered, they would be deemed 'defective' and promptly decommissioned (executed). Hiding that information is imperative to their survival.
Their newest mission is to make contact with a high ranking human commander in the Rebel forces and convince her to join the attack knowing if she does other commanders will follow. Little does the cyborg council know that they have already secretly claimed Carys as their female.
Carys's reputation is legendary in the rebel alliance though she's experienced more than her share of heart ache. Keeping her professionalism and distancing herself is the only way she can cope though two new warriors are testing her resolve. They ask for trust and to believe in them but history has shown her that luck is not always on her side.
Carys will have to decide if she wants to risk it all to join the cyborgs attack or remain loyal to the rebel forces though there seems to be a traitor feeding the Humanoid Alliance information on the rebel leaders plans.

This was a feel good installment in the Cyborg Sizzle series that I feel could be read as a stand alone though of course a reader would get the maximum benefit from reading previous installments.
I totally appreciated the author's change up to feature a mmf relationship in the series. Additionally, the premise that Commander Carys had a Domme sexual mentality made it all the more special. Bravo I say.
The story does provide the reader with action adventure with a taboo romance premise. The suspense does bring things full circle as the main characters are battling their taboo love along side the attack on a brand new state of the art Alliance battle station. It's a true David vs Goliath test of wills that kept me on the edge of my seat to the very last climatic scenes.
For those readers who want to know as to the relationship dynamics and/or adult content romance. First and foremost, if you've read anything by this author you know her books sizzle (along with the heroine) so yuppers there is adult content. As for the mmf. The majority of scenes are either m-f with voyeuristic third or full on m-f-m. I was a tad disappointed as the m-m scene didn't live up to my expectations so for the mm lovers I'd say you would be too. Regardless, a good time was had by all. lol.
The cast of secondary characters includes many cameo appearances from characters of previous installments but the most exciting character by far was C345925 (aka Ghost). I don't think I'm in the minority when I say that his story will be highly anticipated and here's hoping it lives up to all expectations.
While I totally appreciated and enjoyed this installment I was also disappointed as the triad relationship really didn't connect for me. The lines between Carys and her guys were blurred resulting in me questioning if they were role playing or if Carys truly was a sexual dominant and Ace & Thrasher submissive. Don't get me wrong. Totally enjoyed their bedroom action but still......
Yes, I'm a fan of the series and yes I absolutely cannot wait for the next. Here's hoping it's sooner than later and Ghost gets his HEA. He's earned it.
A take-charge commander who believes the worst of cyborgs (as many do) and the two warriors who have to hide their bond because they fear how their brethren will treat them. OH MY HEART. I am so enamored of these cyborgs and how they turned out a-okay despite everything they had to do to survive (and continue to have to do, as in the case of Ace and Thrasher).
They're badass killing machines with big, gooey centers. Well, that last part really only happens when they meet their special someone. Or, in this case, their special someones. Because Ace and Thrasher are definitely bonded and Carys has ZERO problems with that. In fact, she's all in when it comes to having two of these warriors dedicated to her.
Sure, sure, she does have to get over the mental hurdle that the cyborgs are not her enemy, but she's smart and she listens when her men talk, so that happens fairly quickly.
As always, I adore the bloodthirstiness of the cyborgs as they rise up against their captors (those dudes REALLY deserve all the pain and mayhem the cyborgs give them) and how utterly devoted they are to their special someone(s). And Ghost! I can't wait for his story.
Ooooooooh did I love me some Ace and Thrasher. I would have liked having them explore their sexual side a little more. You only got a tiny taste at the end and I really would have loved to have read more about it.
Series: Cyborg Sizzle #6 Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
TW: death of a child
Ace and Thrasher share a bond that they have never acted upon. When they meet Carys the Commander of the Rebel Battle Station they know she is theirs. She is in charge of them and they have no problems following all her commands. I really liked how strong of a woman Carys is. She is an older woman who has seen a lot of shit in her life but is determined to make it better for the future generations. I also really loved that she was the one in control of their relationship and they had no problems submitting to her.
Thrasher and Ace were great heroes. I really enjoyed their relationship and their struggle to be open with it, especially without Carys around. I hope we see more of these three in future books, especially now that the Humanoid Alliance is finally falling.
Anything Cynthia Sax writes I read. Love the connection her characters have. Their female is seeking revenge for something that happened to a being that she loved years ago. Only to find out all is not what it seemed. Now I did love this book I'm just not thrilled with the commander being the dominant one in the relationship. I know what the title says. But come on it's Cynthia Sax of course I'm going to read it and love it. It's just my preference for the male to be the dominant in the relationship.
Slow starting but good overall read. It was taboo for two male cyborgs to claim or love each other, and the heroine had to be strong despite her loss. It was fun reading how they came together, worked together, and finally gave in to loving each other. Good read
Let me start by saying my opinion may be a little bias. I have been following the Cyborg Sizzle series since Releasing Rage. Ace and Thrasher are the latest of the cyborgs to find their mate. While they have a special bond, neither is willing to admit it. In the eyes of the Humanoid Alliance and the Cyborg ruling council they would be defective. When being defective gets you killed, you tend to keep it under wraps. Carys shows the world her cold, calculating, Captain side that hides the pain of losing her only child. Inside she is broken and incapable of feeling love for another person, or so she thinks.
These three are a sheer delight to watch. The cyborgs are large and in charge until Carys gets her hands on them. Carys finds the ice encasing her heart melting with each moment they spend together. Many of the previous characters in this series have cameos in this book. Reading the previous eight stories will give you better insight into what is going on, you can pick this story up and read it first. I think you will want to devour the first seven after that. Great writing with a lot of emotion,a bit of steam and some humor all combine to telling compelling stories of finding love in the midst of chaos and war.
Carys, Ace, and Thrasher's story...Carys, Commander of a rebel battle station and Cyborgs, Ace and Thrasher are the heroes of this book. Carys can't believe that two sexy, brave and strong warriors could want her. After all, she's well past child-bearing age. As Cyborgs Ace and Thrasher are considered defective. They both want Carys as their female and though they try to hide it, they both want each other. There's a battle brewing and it's not just between the Commander and the Cyborgs.
I love this book and this series! There's plenty of action in and out of the sleeping quarters. The characters are wonderful. I highly recommend this book and series. I can't wait to read more about Cynthia Sax's Cyborgs. Enjoy!
Lots of x-rated sex. 18 + years only This one was an unusual relationship. The romance was sweet because the Cyborgs have all been treated so horrible all their lives that the need, want of a female to love and protect is over whelming. When they find the one for them they are over whelmed. They are giddy with wanting to take care of and love their mate. This story had that and huge battles. Loved this one!
I think this is probably one of my favourites in this series so far, I loved Thrasher and Ace they had such a great relationship the dialogue they shared was so funny. Carys was a strong woman with enough vulnerability in her character as to still be likeable. I really enjoyed this novel very much and am looking forward to reading Ghosts book next I really enjoy the whole way this series is crafted and look forward to what comes next now that the Cyborgs have all been liberated.
I'm a pretty big fan of guy on guy action and I've never read a MMF story. This was steamy and fun! That being said, I misunderstood this series. It's said each story is standalone but really, if you read them out of order, you are utterly lost as to the background and world of the story. If you read this just for the sex (of which there is a lot!) then no worries. But if you read it for sex with story, definitely start at book one and go in order.
I love this series! This book was perfect as I was wondering how the author was going to keep these 2 together. These 2 always struck me as needing to stay together not just as best friends but as loves too. So glad Carys loves them both and wants them to love not only her but each other too! Every book in this series is a must read!
This is a fun entertaining hot read about two cyborgs who have had to hide because they would be deemed defective. But it seems like there is a female that is meant for both of them. Each have gone through some horrible circumstances but maybe they can make happier lives together. Enjoy I did.
Beautiful exciting sexy adventure of two cyborg who find their soul mate and learn sharing is possible! A lonely commander who learns love is possible after a heartbreaking loss. Thanks for the wonderful read💖💖
Don't know how Cynthia Sax does it but dang these Cyborgs just keep getting hotter and hotter. But then she throws in a touch of sweet and sorrowful moments and I can't let go.
I was about to start the next book when the number 8 caught my attention. That lead me to finding that between the books I’ve already read, there were two shorty stories. Novellas.
So I tracked them down on the author’s webpage and I’m including their little review here.
The first one is Being Green. I remembered him. His little plant was spaced then retrieved. Well we find out what happened to that plant and the girl Green got in the process.
For such a short story, it went places. Of course it’s the humans who make things complicated, but it turned out to be a nice sweet condensed story.
Next is Jumping Barrel. Another short 4 chapter story that had at least two contrived plot points, in this easy story. But in the end I’m now more worried for Ka-Na and Gap than I was before
Now starting Hers To Command and it’s a MMF story. I wonder what that means? Since this author is set on people breeding and to be attracted to their genetic match to be able to create offspring, I don’t think it will be about a gay cyborg couple where one of them “falls” for a female as well and his partner is ok with it. But how do we square one girl being affected by two cyborgs??
Days Later
I was wrong. She went there. She paired up two guys then tossed in a girl to complete the set.
We got other people come into the story that we know and met a few new ones. In this book we are reminded of some of the horrors we first learned about in book one and maybe book two. For sure book one. I actually forgot, so it was an oh yeah moment that that gave the guys begin a couple have another sad layer in addition to what they saw/knew what would happen to them if it was found out that they liked each other.
Yep they were in the closet.
I liked the twists we got from their female.
I was wondering what happened to Ghost, and I see that is the next book. I wish this book ended further into their future, maybe we bump into them again. But honestly, not much will change for them as a unit from here out.
I’m not even sure how many are after this next book with Ghost. Something really big happened in this book that would shift the universe for any later stories.
I really liked this story. Ups and downs. Horrors and joys. Twists and surprises.
This book was was a little different from what were used to in this series. It's basically a threesome, MFM story line with Ace and Thrasher who throughout the other books seemed to have a more than platonic relationship, who had never acted upon their desires. The Humanoid Alliance would have viewed them as defective and would have had them decommissioned and scrapped for parts and they are fearful the cyborg council feels that way too. In this book they meet Carys the Commander of a rebel battle station whom from the moment they first meet and touch know she's meant to be theirs. Carys had a troubled past of her own having lost her two year old daughter by the Humanoid Alliance and is afraid to love anyone again. She was the oldest female lead to date having silver strands in her hair and needing to take a medicinal course if she wanted to consider having more children but it isn't stated how old she is. Carys was a brave women, who commanded respect and admiration from all who know her, with a kind and loving heart she was the perfect mate for both of them. She was accepting of them both, of their love, it actually seemed to turn her on, the thought of having two gorgeous young men all to herself in true cougar fashion lol. She was accustomed to giving orders in her role as commander so it was natural that she would play out that role in the bedroom giving her a Domme feel to her personality and to her surprise her two males seemed to love being told what to do being quite submissive to her demands actually liking it and turning them on more. Their intimate scenes were quite HOT and STEAMY and even though I'm not into the male on male thing I have to admit it was more toned down than what I was expecting. Ace and Thrasher were not into being together physically as they were abused sexually while under the control of the H.A and viewed that act as unappealing and degrading so all that would happened between them was kissing and some handies. The banter between Ace and Thrasher was hilarious at times and the fact that they were so competitive with each other was quite funny leading to some really incredibly stupid ideas which were a laugh riot. Both were so loving and caring, wanting nothing more than to be loved by their female. They were extremely thoughtful and sweet putting her needs and desires above all else, just wanting to earn her trust and love and give her the happiness she deserved. One carefree and the other logical they were the perfect combination for your dream man add also your delicious alpha male traits and a dash of possessiveness too and you have two drool worthy, sexy as hell men who were apparently sporting some impressive equipment lol. I have hope though that maybe one day if this couple settles down and the war is ever over that just maybe Carys will feel safe and strong enough to start a family with her males. No child would ever replace the one she lost but it would be nice for their to be a little Ace or Thrasher running around and not have it end with them. Another interesting read by this author full of action, suspense, pain and plenty of passion a delightful addition to the cyborg series.
In the Cyborg Sizzle universe, the Human Alliance have been producing cyborgs, who they believe to be just machines, to fight their wars, carry out their atrocities all whilst abusing them in the all the terrible ways you can think of. After all, they’re just machines right? Wrong. The cyborgs are more than just machines and they will get them and their brethren out from the control of the evil Human Alliance to live their lives in freedom. And, when they find that special woman? She’s coming right along with them.
1 review…11 books – 8 full length and 3 novellas – normally I would do an individual review for each book, however, I read all of these in quick succession and I wanted to save you from essentially reading the same review 11 times. The review goes something like this: Me Love Sexy Cyborgs. Repeat. As well as this, the books all followed a very similar pattern, made very apparent by the fact that I literally read them one after another, which is an endorsement in itself. However, before you have gotten a few pages in you essentially know exactly what is going to happen when, but that didn’t stop me from coming along for the ride anyways.
Like in all series, I had my favourites, my absolute favourite being Ghost of a Machine, and I had the ones I didn’t gel quite so well with. But, as each book gave me a sexy cyborg to lust over I was happy with each instalment. And dayum them cyborgs…they know how to get a lady all hot and bothered. Whether it’s by their clueless adoration, their sexy dirty talk or the mad oral skills they somehow managed to pick up I was a goner for each one of them.
So, if like me you enjoy s sexy sci-fi romance story – heavy on the sexy romance, light on the story – these books are a lot of fun. The cyborgs in it are both sweet and intense and the heroines run the gamut from sweet and submissive, sassy and impulsive, brainiacs and badasses. Now, that I have read everything out I am now itching to get my hands on the next in the series!
P.S. last time I checked Releasing Rage the first book in the series and all the novellas were free on Amazon.
This book was different in the fact that the heroine has two cyborg males. Thrasher and Ace have had this connection forever but have been unable to display their affection for each other for fear of being killed. When they find Carys they know she belongs to them. Carys is intrigued by these fantasy males until she finds out they are real and cyborgs. Cyborgs took something from her in the past and she has to use all her logic to come to the conclusion that cyborgs aren't evil. The plot is exciting and kept me glued to the page. The cyborgs struggle continues and the Humanoid Alliance is slowly becoming outnumbered by the beings they have tortured who are slowly rebelling against their authority. I can't wait to read more!
On this story in the fight against the Humanoid Alliance, Ace and Trasher are sent out on a mission by the cyborg council. They are to convince a popular high ranking commander in the Rebel forces to join in on an attack. All in the hopes others that listen to her will follow.
Carys believes the worst of cyborgs. Ace and Trasher have a special bond that could deem them defective. Of course, it was a good story. If anyone thinks that because two men love each other they'd act on it, I'd say you'll be disappointed. With history of torture and abuse under the Humanoid Alliance, the mind can be a powerful enemy misguided at one self.
Carys was a Commander on a Battlestation on the Rebel side who still didn’t know that Cyborgs were free beings. Or most of them were. Carys fought the Human Alliance because they and the Cyborgs killed her baby girl and she has been wanting revenge for years. Nothing could stop her or could they? Ace and Thrasher were two very close Cyborg friends and secretly more? They have hidden who they were for years because they didn’t want to be deemed defective. Now they must all come together and stop the war. Can that be achieved? Can it be done with no harm to any of them?
I love the use of damages and repairs in this Cyborg story.
Ace and Thrasher have every reason to keep a secret among their kind, fearing they would be viewed as detective, but in Carys they find someone who appreciates them as they are.
Carys is smart, and driven... yet Ace and Thrasher come into her life and open her eyes to facts she never knew, giving her reasons to question how she perceived events on a pivotal day in her life.
It just might be possible that these men who are half machine could help her repair the part of herself that is unwilling to risk caring about others.
Carys Ace and Thrasher one of the best three some romances I've read in a very long time. This book in the series dealt with past trauma of losing a child, feelings of being unworthy due to loving some one of the same sex as well as a strong domineering woman. The twists turns and action make this a fun enjoyable read. The way each of the 3 become one and share their whole selves is an amazing romance and show the strength of what real love is. Love it worth reading !😍
There are so many elements to this story that jump out at me... the strength of a dominant female, the taboo threesome relationship, the disapproval from the Cyborgs of a same sex relationship, the huge change in the storyline due to the battle. This story is pivotal to the series and was written in a clear, concise way that made the battle, which is messy and chaotic, easy to follow. It was intense, destructive, brutal, heartbreaking, beautiful, sexy, interesting... I could go on and on.
I kind of loved this. The writing wasn't amazing, but I loved that Carys is a very competent, very experienced commander, well-respected by her crew. She's also grey-haired and fat, and utterly irresistible to two cyborgs.
It had a bit of a slow start for me but I really got into it in the second half. I really enjoyed how the relationships between the three of them grew in the story, and that she was dominant. I also loved the inclusiveness of it. Lots of fun!
I'm not usually one for m-on-m action. This is my first real exploration. Add an F into the mix, and a dominant one at that, and this is one seriously kinked ride. I'm glad Ace and Thrasher got their HEA. They are a great pair of characters. I liked them in their first appearance, and they were just as good here. Keep it up, Ms. Sax!
