This is the book that changed my life and my attitude towards programming. My advice to people who intend to read this book is “absorb every single word written in the book”, don’t memorise anything, because you don’t have to. Alert all your brain cells possible while consuming this book.

As a biologist with no programming or modelling experience wishing to transition into computational biology and bioinformatics, I used this book to enter the world of programming.
The author assumes no prior knowledge of programming on the reader's part and introduces the material in an appropriate way, with carefully chosen examples, case studies and challenging exercises at the end of each chapter.

First lengthy explanation, then author keeps forward the point he wanted to explain bit confusing. Felt like beating around bush to explain simple points

How much I hated this book back in college. Go for K&R.

It is the perfect book for beginners who want to join in the programming field, as C language is the mother of all languages, so in this book, they have focused on explaining everything in detail. It also helps in the first year of the university.

As a computer science student, it is important to practice C programming regularly as it is known as the mother of all programming languages.

This book provides you with all the necessary concepts that are needed to master C programming. From the very basic level to the pro level, it includes all the concepts.

It provides easy, medium and high level examples from each of the units of C. There are tons of practice question provided in the book which helps to nurture your conceptual as well as programming skills.

If you're reading this before buying the book, then DO NOT BUY this item. Or if you bought & read it once, throwaway the book and read another book on C.
This book has a lot of mistakes, and is really outdated. It will just mislead the beginners. The organization of the book might seem attractive, but do not get fooled by the "book's cover".

Six edition is great! explanation is very to the point and avoids confusions...
the only drawback is that the book lacks examples on different coding styles and exercises or practice questions aren't much..
