DC superheroes for kids! This reminds me of the old Hanna Barbara team-ups of all their characters. A huge chuck of the DC canon works together to take down some bad guys. It's cute with fantastic art and lacks all the angst of the current main DC run. I doubt kids know who all these characters are, but I do not think that it matters given how simple the plot is.

I received this book from Goodreads First Reads in exchange for an honest review...

I handed this off to my 7-year-old daughter as soon as it came in the mail. She is heavily into superheros right now and thoroughly enjoys reading, so this was perfect for her. She sat with it for HOURS. She couldn't put it down. Every 15-20 minutes or so, she would bring it to me and show me an exciting part of the book that she liked. Once she was done reading it, she immediately started it over again. She loved and enjoyed it that much.

That sums up the review.

Have you ever listened to a seven-year-old (or two, or three) come up with play situations, where everything and the kitchen sink gets thrown in, with casts of 10000s inexplicably show up, only to be forgotten immediately until 10 minutes later, and the story just kind of has a meandering urgency to it, with every couple of minutes, an "OH NO!" would be totally appropriate? Well, if you haven't, read this joyful, ridiculous, stylishly designed book, and you'll get the idea.

I picked up this book because I needed a quick lunch read. It looked childish, but sometimes juvenile stories can have some nice in-jokes for adults and some clever storylines. This one....did not. As a kid's book, it would be passable and harmless, but not exactly good. I've read way better things intended for kids that managed to still be smart and, unlike this comic, not just silly. Still, I chuckled once and, like I said, it's a perfectly harmless little read for little kids.

I read this one over the weekend. After a great run on Teeny Titans, this one tries to go for a more traditional super-hero arc. However, it comes across as a little too disorganized and too "everything and the kitchen sink" approach. Now, the target audience (kids) might be fine with that but as an adult and long-time comic reader I was a little put off by it.

More delightful fun from the Aw Yeah crew. So many ideas bursting at the creative seams, all in the cute style of Tiny Titans. You've got New Krypton, the Legion of Doom, Darkseid, Ch'p, and so much more.

A really delightful super hero story for all ages that showcases the fun and excitement of DC characters to a younger audience. Baltazar and Franco put together another must read super hero kids book that’s still fun for older readers!

Apparently this is actually a continuation of an earlier couple of books—no mention of those here, and the characters and situations are quite baffling if you don’t know the extended Superman family that well.

I handed this book to my middle school son as soon as I received it. Although he isn't a huge comic fan, he did enjoy this and I feel this is a good book for the younger ones.

Son loves it

He’s 4 years old, so the plot doesn’t go too many places, but it truly doesn’t need to. We will read again

Word of warning, this is really Superman Family Adventures v.3 and I highly suggest reading those two volumes first. Otherwise, this won't make a drop of sense.

Anyway, I'm actually a little impressed by this alternate Superman mythos they have created. I enjoyed the mystery elements and found it to be a pretty compelling story. Don't let the cartoonish look put you off.
