⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The Silver Swan, book. Dark erotic suspense as jet-setting teenagers get caught in a conspiracy with sex, drugs, jealousy & lies!

Heiress & student Madison Maree Montgomery

…has moved cross-country to escape scandal.

She is surprised to meet her new stepbrother Nate.

And his entitled friends in the secret Elite Kings Club.

They are all hot-cold, sexy, jaded, brooding rich boys.

Bishop Vincent Hayes is particularly sinister & intense.

Add to that innuendos about the Elite Kings club.

Rumors of a big conspiracy. Is her life in danger?

Madi quickly goes from the new girl to the in-crowd.

Parties, drugs & excess; sex & jealousy; secrets & threats.

The Silver Swan, told from Madi’s POV, is high on mystery and suspense, but don’t let the YA setting fool you. This is dark erotica as these teenagers get it on; no expense spared, nothing off-limits. Read this when you are in the mood to be swept off your feet by an OTT whirlwind tale featuring brooding larger-than-life alpha BOY heroes and one (un)lucky girl caught between them all. Story ends as cryptically as it started leading right to book 2, The Broken Puppet for the continuation of their story.

Loved. every. minute. of. it.!

“What do you want, kitty?” he murmurs against my needy clit. “I might give it to you.”

Awesome.

I’m not in the mood to review this shit show - as fun and amusing as that would be - but I CAN direct you to the review I would have written if I were energetic enough. And smart enough.

Also known as Nenia’s review.

I won't go into extreme detail about what didn't work for me. I decided to read this because the blurb sounded interesting with promises of 'insane characters and an insane story', even though I don't really read 'dark' reads anymore. And this is mainly because it’s been rare for me to come across a dark story where the characters seem believable and the situations aren’t just absurd and/or convenient. And that is a big part of the reason why I didn’t enjoy this book.

I did like the mystery and intrigue. The premise had potential, but for ME, the execution was way off.

The writing itself could have done with a REALLY GOOD amount of editing. It was repetitive, had a lot of grammatical errors, and the pacing just felt off. The storyline was all over the place. In some places there was just a huge info dump with a lot of unnecessary details and filler. And then there were times where I could have used more background information or more detail. There were also things the characters thought or said that made absolutely no sense and contradicted something that was previously stated.

The characters were way too absurd and immature. I realize these are high school students, but that doesn't mean they need to be written in such an over the top manner. Especially when you're trying to appeal to an adult crowd. I also couldn't connect with any of them. I found the heroine to be daft and lacked common sense and the heroes felt like a stereotyped clichéd version of what high school bad boys should be.

Clearly this wasn’t for me, but I maybe others will enjoy this more than I did.

I love animals. More than I love people. I–me and my family–have only ever hunted deer, unless it was duck-shooting.

Was my whole life a lie and deers and ducks are not animals, is that what you want to say dear Maddie? 🥺 The quote above sums up this girl perfectly. This girl was just full of contradictions and I didn't want to understand her.

"There are humans, and there are wolves, and then there is me.." He inches up to me, his lips gliding over the thin flesh of my neck. "A fucking god."

This is one of those stories."- Amo Jones

I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to write this review. What can I tell you that will be just enough to peak your interest, but not enough to ruin the twists or the suspense, give you the wrong idea, or make me sound insane? I’m thinking the answer is probably not much. Yet, that’s what I have to do, so here goes nothing!

 photo pagebreak_zpscaredzya.png

Madison Montgomery’s father moved them to a new town, because he found “the one”...again. Madi hoped that moving to a new city would let her leave behind the whispers and rumors surrounding her family. When your mother finds out your father is cheating on her and murders the homewrecker with YOUR gun before killing herself, people tend to talk. It’s the kind of thing that at the least intrigues others. Unfortunately, for Madi, it’s also the kind of thing that follows you wherever you go.

Trying to blend in like she wants to turns out to be pretty impossible. She does manage to make one good friend, Tatum, at school which is more than she can usually say for herself. Tatum warns her to be careful when she captures the attention of a group of 10 hot as hell guys that are shrouded in mystery. Everyone wants them, wants to be them, and/or is terrified of them. According to the rumor mill, they supposedly belong to a secret club of some sort called, The Elite Kings Club. No one knows for sure what it is just that it has something to do with their lineage. The disappearance of Bishop’s ex girlfriend, Khales, is another topic of discussion among their student body.

 photo PicsArt_03-07-08.40.34_zpsqehnersv.jpg

Madi soon discovers that staying away from the boys simply isn’t going to happen. Not only does she draw the eye of their gorgeous leader, Bishop, but one of the guys, Nate, is actually her new stepbrother. Some of the group automatically acts like they can’t stand her, but they also stand guard over her at almost all times.

At first, Madi thinks the rumors are just that; however, the more time she spends with the boys, the more she starts to think there is some truth to all the rumors. Everything is a secret, they keep referring to being part of a game, and do all sorts of other strange things that would make anyone question what the hell was going on. There are so many questions she wants answers to. There are so many questions YOU will want answers to. What ever happened to Khales? Why did Bishop’s father mistake her for someone else? Why does Brantley show such animosity towards her even though they just met? Why do they think she knows something that she doesn’t? What part of their life is this game they keep talking about, and what is real? Honestly, that isn’t anywhere near the amount of questions you will have while reading this or even after it’s over, but that’s all I can say without spoiling anything.

What did I think of The Silver Swan? Overall, it is a unique, intriguing, and captivating read. I was constantly questioning everything and waiting for the other shoe to drop. The whole time I read, the phrase “What the fuck?” was on loop in my head. I love books that keep me guessing, and this one definitely did that. I also love asshole alphas, and Bishop is a delicious one.

Did I have any issues with it? Sure. I think Madi was a little too easy when it came to Bishop and letting the boys slide for their erratic/totally messed up behavior. Either way, it made the book more entertaining for me, so I wasn’t bothered by it. LOL Again, that’s all I can really say without revealing too much.

Would I recommend it? Yes! If you like messed up stories full of mystery, asshole alphas, and suspense, with some hot sex thrown in for good measure, this one is for you. I will warn you that while you will get answers to some of your questions, you will be left with even more, so if you don’t like cliffhangers, you may want to wait until the next book comes out to read this one. However, the cliffhanger didn’t bother me all that much to be honest. I am so glad that I decided to read this book, and I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next!

WHOA!!!! Fuckin wow!!!

Let's just say this book could be described as a well blended mixture of Penelope Douglas's Corrupt, Erin Watt's The Royals series and Tijan's Fallen Crest High brought onto a higher level of potency...

and I won't even try to go into re-telling the story, cause it would not do it justice, so I'm gonna borrow Amo's blurb, cause it simply says it ALL and yet reveals NOT ONE SINGLE THING you should NOT know beforehand...
Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?

Damn, I just loved the angsty, anticipating feeling and a constant suspense I got from the story..
it's the very feeling that kept me on the edge, alive, itchy and vivid...questioning everything and everyone, and yet I had to keep firmly in mind that they are 17 years old...gah

The characters were intriguing and very unlike the teens around you, duh?! I loved how they were multi-layered and complex, strong and vulnerable at the same time, wild/reckless yet serious...

Madison - damn, I loved her. Badass, smart, mouthy, out-spoken, bold yet vulnerable and eager for love...

and Bishop, you little motherfucker, him and the rest of his little gang...untamed, spoiled, above everyone and everything...and yet behind the screen, they too play the parts they DO NOT want to play, per se BUT instead they were merely brought into it...by blood...tradition, money, greed, scrupules...

and all the lies and secrets bring the sour taste of betrayal and self-doubt

Inspite of these little issues i had along the way with certain pin points in the story, without a doubt, there's a constant rush, the thrill, the suspense, the mystery eating away the last sensible thought leaving me in a confused and utterly vivid mess with soooo many questions...

and I need the next book, like NOW!

Many people loved this book, So I'm going to skip the praise (you can read plenty of it elsewhere). i had high hopes for this one, The blurb was so damn good. Unfortunately, the whole story didn't work for me. The characters were mean, Super creepy and absurd. There was one thing i loved about this book, Which is; "Nothing is coincidence". everything Bishop does is for a reason. And Of course, The author didn't offer any explanation whatsoever, Nada, Nothing. *SIGH*

Overall, I think this story had potential, and this could have been a much better book.

2* unpopular and spoiler STARS!

My first read from Amo Jones and I still didn't understand about it. I really need "high-level" imagination for this story. Absolutely speechless. I need to divided between reality and fantasy because it was confusing AF. Here's my rants:

Based on the blurb:

Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. <-- Why is her name reminds me of Emma Roberts from AHS: Coven? Coincidental much. Pft. Her mother kill herself with Madison's gun. Apparently this family has hunting for a hobby.

description

When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. <-- Everyone knows about the suicide. Then, Madison gain a new friend, Tatum who warn her about the ELITE KING'S CLUB. Madison also a self-proclaimed as a person who didn't like interact but the truth was far from it. *rolleyes*

*Until this point, it's really has similarity with Paper Princess. Out of nowhere girl, an elite fuckboi gang, and female sidekick. Except, Madison is super rich. Her father married for the third times and she has a step-brother, Nate whose also from the club.

Back to the blurb: What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. <-- It has Corrupt vibe. Also her step-brother, Nate is one of the club member. Apparently, the leader, Bishop owns the school.

Conclusion:

1. For "introvert" girl, Madison is super noisy. She has big mouth and a bit judgmental also slut shamming. There is a different between really a SLUT and sexually active. Bitch please... The first time she saw Bishop, she's instantly wet. All the guy from ELITE KING'S CLUB are flawless and perfect.

2. Out of nowehere, the ELITE KING'S CLUB started to bully Madison with riddles and non-sense. They're also harassed her many times. Terrorized her. Groped her and stuff. And then, call it as a game? Sick fuck. Eww... She also given pet name by them, Kitty. . .

description

3. This Bishop guy is super creepy. He always stare at her (like Edward Cullen to Bella if you watch Twilight). He's grumpy, brooding and all the shit. Suddenly, he decided to 'play' with Madison. Bishop love to order her around and Madison like a puppy always follow him.

4. Madison spread her legs easily for Bishop. And after that, she became naive. She wants his attention but Bishop claimed to use her for sex. Err... You know the rest. FYI, it happened again. Multiple times in the future. I didn't feel their chemistry. AT ALL!

description

5. There are a lot of sex in this story (No orgy, thanks). Madison with this guy, Tatum with that guy, etc. What's disgust me about her, she tongue-kissed her step brother, Nate who fucked both her friends. Holy shite! Sorry, I'm not the type who hop around with other guys. Too slutty while she hope for Bishop will 'care' about her. Also Nate and Madison started to bitching with their non-sense feeling.

description

Well, I don't know what's the ELITE KING'S CLUB purpose. Really. All they did until the end only for sex and bully-slash-almost rape. Some of them pointed out how rough the sex will be. With choking and bruising. Seriously... for a high school?

The plot has so many loose ends. Like I said, there is no purpose except they're just fooling around and scaring Madison. However, the ending is the one bothered me the most. Some kind of MAGICAL. I almost thought this is a paranormal/fantasy. The +1 star award is for me because I managed to finish it. Whew.

I've just changed my review to 5 stars! Why you ask? Because my brain is still going on about this book. I am STILL thinking about it while reading another. Amo... honey child... you have once again created a winner!!

************************************************************

What was that???

No seriously. What the heck did I just read???

Even though I thought I had a pretty good idea of what to expect, I now realize I didn't know shit!! I'm beyond mindblown. I'm mind-obliterated!!

THE SILVER SWAN was a YA book that was absolutely NOT for young adults. I don't care what the author said, I'm not allowing my children or any other teenage children I know read this. Nope. Not til they're older. Nosiree Bob. It was a story about 17 year olds who acted and behaved way beyond their years. I did some crazy shit when I was 17-18, but these kids took it to a whole other level of cray. Was it because of the money? The lifestyle? Their upbringing? Who the heck knows, but it made for a truly captivating read.

Madison and her father have relocated and once again she's the new girl at school. But her past has followed her all the way to The Hamptons. She luckily finds a fast friend in Tatum, but catches the eyes of The Elite Kings Club, a group of bad boys at the school, one of which is her new step-brother. The leader of the pack, Bishop, can't seem to leave her alone and she finds herself equally obsessed with him. And so the games begin.

Madison was a little wannabe badass but I loved her snark and her attitude. However, she was a touch too naive when I consider how bright she seemed in many areas of her life. And she was gullible which made for some interesting times of me laughing at her (no, not with her) from the sidelines. It was Bishop who really kept me reading. He snagged me, hook, line and sinker. Despite his secrecy, his meanness, his crudeness and his utter disregard for anyone's feelings, I wanted more of him. Every time he did something to screw with Madison, I was busy trying (I'm still trying) to figure out his motives.

So here I am... at the end of this book... the story is unfinished... and I still have absolutely no clue what the heck was going on!! I still don't even know what this story was about. What I do know is that I WILL be looking forward to the next book because I need answers!!

Secrets, Riddles and Games!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💜💛💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📔📙
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤

The setting: The Hamptons

The Hero(s): Bishop Vincent Hayes – One of the quiet ones in the Elite Kings Club. Immediately drawn to Madison, he is brooding, quiet, sinister and sizzling hot. He had a girlfriend that disappeared two years ago and hasn’t had one since.

The heroine: Madison Montgomery - a rich girl whose mother killed the woman her father was sleeping with before shooting herself, with Madison’s gun. Her father moved her to The Hamptons to start fresh after getting married to someone new. Madison starts the school at Riverside Preparatory Academy the first day. She comes home to meet her new stepbrother Nate whom she new nothing about. He is one of the ten guys in the Elite Kings Club who run the school.

The Love Story: Madison is curious about the guys and finds Bishop extremely enticing despite the way he just stares at her. They are intimate early on, but then she finds out it was just some sort of game.

I liked this book, though it was so utterly confusing. There were so many secrets and lies. The guys from the Elite Kings Club kept doing and saying things that hinted at dark and malevolent forces at work but they never explained what was going on. It also seemed that Madison was involved in some way or had some background that they knew about and she didn’t. It is all so mysterious!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic THE SILVER SWAN: Is the first full length New Adult novel in Amo Jones ‘Elite Kings Club’ series.

Newly arrival in town, its seventeen year old Madison (aka Madi) Montgomery’s first day at ‘Riverside Preparatory Academy. “My dad moved us across state, because he found ‘the one.’ I’m beginning to think he can’t count. This would be his third ‘the one’ since my mum’s passing.” It seems her past has followed her. Everyone’s heard the whispers, she’s the girl whose mum murdered her dad’s girlfriend before topping herself off.

So she’s beyond surprised when she’s befriended by a girl named Tatum, she also catches the eye of Bishop, the ring leader of the ‘Elite Kings Club.’ No one knows much really about the club only that apparently it has something to do with blood and their family linage. “They’re like this undercover exclusive club. No one really knows what happens in this club, or who all the members really are, but it has to do with blood and your family lineage, apparently.”

Tatum warns Madi to stay as far away from them as possible. You don’t mess with these guys. These guys are shrouded in darkness. You can feel it seeping out of their pores. They are dangerous. Never to be trusted. Never let your guard down around them.

So many questions
So many empty answers
So many promises
So many lies
They all started adding up!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

By a phone call she receives by her father, she learns that her fathers new bride’s son Nate will be moving into the manor, he attends the same school as Madi, it also seems like he’s part of the exclusive club. So for Madi to stay away from these boys was going to be near impossible.

The Silver Swan packed a lot of punch for the length, without me realising it I was hooked, as soon as I started this I couldn’t put it down, lately I’ve been binge reading highschool teen novels and this hit the right spot, without a second thought I purchased the next book.

Whilst reading this you could feel something lurking in the background awaiting the right moment to pounce, to take you unawares, the suspense, the cat and mouse games these A-wholes played just intrigued my interest even more. The angst levels spiked more each chapter. I wasn't sure where the author was going to lead me because answers were never given to us freely, like a puzzle we had to piece it together with the tidbits the author gave us.

Then BAM the last chapter was a whole plot twist.

This book was actually painful to try to get through. If I'm being completely honest, I wanted to DNF fairly early on but I didn't think I could write a fair review without finishing it so I forced myself to skim to the end. I know, I know... Its just a quirk of mine that doesn't allow me to quit.

I'm not even going to get into the plot because I just found it all too over the top ridiculous. There were elements in this book that reminded me of a few other books I've read before whether intentional or not and, frankly, if you're going to jump on a bandwagon, you really need to SELL IT. I was not sold. I was so far from sold.

I couldn't connect with any of these characters (And there's a million or so to choose from.) The writing felt amateur and the dialogue was so unnatural and redundant. This book could have used some serious editing, but even with that, the execution of this story was just... lacking. I'm not sure if this is this author's debut or not, maybe they just haven't quite found their stride, but the writing was not polished, the style was just all over the place.

I'm a reader that needs believability, even in my fiction, and there was nothing natural or believable about any of the interactions these characters had with each other. I can bite the bullet and take a book for what it is when it starts to head into crazytown, but an author needs to sell it. Pull me in somehow, connect me with a character, intrigue me with some element of the plot. There was just nothing here. There's no character development, no depth. There's just a lot of ridiculous arguments between even more ridiculous characters, a lot of throwing everything against the wall to see what would stick, a lot of unnecessary details and an exorbitant number of side characters that served no real purpose other than to maybe distract the reader from the fact that there's nothing compelling about this book. I was over it before of even began.

Update March 26th.
I'm quoting my friends: Steffi, Liana and Elle. I asked them for safety info:

If you're curious, I would wait until the sequel is out and reviewed before investing the effort. Also... Liana

Hmm.. after Elle

Original non-review
************Cliffhanger alert and OM alert, disloyal/cheating hero alert**********

Thanks Liana for giving me some heads up on this one.

I need more info on safety:

Does anyone know whether:

OW happens?

OW= other women a.k.a kiss, watching OW naked, trying to f@ck her, actually f@ck her after H and h kiss? This book is supposedly like Vicious and Paper princess so I think there's some OW.

For the purpose of my reviews I consider a heroe is a cheater when he kisses, makes out, looks another woman naked or tries to fuck OW after the couple gets together. If it happens before that, I have no problem and I consider it a safe-with exceptions read.

Note: I pair the couple together after they kiss for the first time even if they don't start dating until later.

a crapload of these 5 star reviews are from people who bandwagon this author.

The cover is absolutely gorgeous. and that's basically the only good thing about this book.

It needs an editor. Badly. And there's a mid section that has formatting issues. This book was brought to my attention when this author "attacked" a blogger and made a huge spectacle when her book was compared to similar books. Her immature friends hopped on board and dared anyone to hate this book. to read it and then make comparisons.

So, I did.

Completely unimpressed. Here's why. (There aren't any spoilers in this review.)

1. The writing was very amateur and for her to be a seasoned author, I didn't get it.

2. Madi was a TSTL heroine. She was turned on by almost every boy she came in contact with. Her way of thinking made me want to choke slam her into a wall.

3. Cliche rich bad boys? Check.

4. Uneccessary side characters? Yup.

5. Unrealistic events that made things convenient? Yup.

This book was not twisted or dark. I'm lmao at those statements. It's of Self entitled rich assholes who mess with another rich assholes who has zero brain cells and acts like a hoochie. How can something be twisted and mind game ish if the entire book was just them screwing with her. No shit you shouldn't trust them. stupid girl. and fyi. I was a teen not that long ago. We don't act like this.

The whole 'Silver Sean's thing was weiiird. like didn't fit with this story at all. There is so much going on. The plot was all over the place. irritating.

Now....this author CLEARLY took the story line of Corrupted, paper princess, ( awesome books btw.) and worked it how she wanted. Shall we compare?

1. The group of boys in masks.-corrupted
2. The group of boys torturing our poor Mary sue.-all of them
3.Rich little assholes that revolve around a H.S setting-all of them.
4. MONTGOMERY- the last name of rich kids in Paper Princess
5.Naming every single song-corrupted
6.Missing a mother-paper princess
7.Heroine and another man-corrupted
8.the step brother thing-papaer princess
9.New girl at school-paper princess
10.Mean girl who used to like the male lead/does-paper princess
11.Ends with girl running away because she's been hurt-paper princess
12.Girl is supposed to be tough and kickass-Paper princess.

I could go on and on and on. Did she just take paper princess and add in a small bit of Corrupted? This was some of the most unoriginal shit I've ever seen. And she didn't execute it well. At all! And her next book the last name is ROYAL. I'm lol. I've read another a her books after this and was as equally unimpressed. She does not write 'Dark' books.

I am not a blogger or associated with one. I bought this book from Amazon.

This review has me pulling my hair out because I have so much I want to say but so much that I can't say without ruining this story. I loved this book so hard and I easily became very invested in these characters. I don't think my heart stopped pounding once while I was reading it because everything just got so insane. I don't think I can even begin to describe the types of fucked up this book was because there's just too much I would need to explain. Not that I actually know anything since I'm still left with so many questions that have me ready to stalk the hell out of Amo Jones and beg her to tell me what's going to happen in the next book.

You know that feeling when you're watching a horror movie and you just know that something is about to jump out and make your heart stop for a second? That's the feeling of anticipation I had the whole entire time while reading this. From the very beginning we're taken on this journey of craziness and the crazy-train never stops after that. You'll be questioning everything that happens and you'll be suspicious of ever single person that is introduced. It's brilliant!

I honestly didn't know what was going to happen in this story, and that isn't something that happens a lot. Be prepared for everything is the only advice i can give you for going into this one. I can't recommend this book fast enough and I hope a lot of people will pick it up and give it a try.

OMG, What did I just read I'm speechless here.

 photo Girls-are-shocked-after-sending-Kristina-home_zpsc8lgrpah.gif

So I'm not gonna major rehash here as the blurb said loads.
I'm just gonna jump in and gave my overhaul on all that makes The Silver Swan (Elite Kings Club, #1) by Amo Jones some seriously sensational fiction. so here goes.
So we have our Madi here, a bit of an oddball, never quite fitting in, she comes complete with a shady past and a brand new step mum, who shes met exactly twice before.
Brand New student at the exclusive Riverside Prep school.
And also a Brand new stepbrother, The cheeky, cocky Nate.
Who daddy dearest has totally failed to mention.
And he then has the nerve to warn Madi to stay away from him as he thinks's he's trouble when he's the one that's left them both home alone together.
I mean he so deserves the shittiest dad award like for real.
And there are no parents like anywhere, I mean totally defunct are these caregivers to all the teenagers here.
These are some seriously sucky role models.

 photo giphy_zpsvu0oo3br.gif

So Madi's new school comes complete with ten alpha kings, which her new Bro is one of.
The (Elite Kings Club) rumours abound about this exclusive privileged little boys club, they rule the school and Bishop is the leader of this little posse and he seems to have Madi in his crosshairs.
So first this is not YA, discount the characters ages, this is definitely aimed at Adults.
there is a bit of everything here, creepy-arse rhymes, intrigue, mystery and some super steamy sexual shenanigans.
Though there's no way teenagers are having sex like this if they are, where were these teenage gods when I was a youngster.
just an observation like, I won't be marking it down or anything for this, that would be like cutting off my nose to spite my face.
So discounting our Elite Kings god-like bedroom skills, there are some great characters here some I loved and some I loved to hate.
If I had to pick favourites then Nate would be a front-runner his cocky, arrogant but super protective vibe towards Madi just really got to me.
Her two friends Tatum and Tillie coming in a very close second.
Though it became apparent to me that Tillie knows more about things than she's been letting on.
At least that's the vibe I got from her near the end.
So, The finale here, oh boy that was a bit cliff-hangerey.

 photo 23515957_zpsm9nu1ose.gif

I mean I need my next fix of this fantastic series like now, so pleased I haven't got to wait as that would have seriously done my nut in.
As though we have some answers, there's no actual resolution here and everything is just so darn weird.
With no real explanations at all.
I'm really hoping the next book provides more clarification to events as I seriously can't stop thinking about this story and it's driving me literally insane.
On a final note, the cover of this book is so visually stunning that would be enough to give this a try alone.
So if you want a series that's going to fry your brain with questions give this a go its fiction at its finest and I devoured every word.
I was provided with a copy of "The Silver Swan (Elite Kings Club, #1)" By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Silver Swan is a re-read for me, and I forgot how much I liked it. It's been so long since I read this book. Silver Swan is book one in the Elite Kings club series. They are not standalone. I wanted to re-read and catch up on the series. I love Amo Jones work, and she never disappoints me even when I scream and ask so many questions. In my darkness scale, it’s a medium gray.

Madison Montgomery, aka Madi, seventeen years of age, is new to town and Riverside Preparatory school. Of course, she comes across the mean girls, whispering Gossip, and her and her family. Maxi is surprised when a girl befriends her need. Tatum, the complete opposite of her, and the girl could care less about the gossip. She tells her about everyone in school and the rumored Elite kings club and to stay away from them as they are trouble.

After Madi’s first day of school, Madi learns her father has remarried and has gained a new stepbrother, Nate, part of the club. So much for trying to stay away from them.

These kids are not to be trusted, surrounded by darkness and so many secrets. But out girl Madi is a no B.S. Girl. She gives them hell; Sometimes I wanted to smack her and tell her to wake up. I was waiting for her to shoot one of them. A few secrets unfold and start to get a better picture, then it all blows up and ends on a cliffhanger. And that was a whopper of a cliffhanger. Off to read the next book.

REVIEW EDITED 02.04.2017
Lol, after a lot of thought - okay, I won't lie; after a lot of sleep, I finally decided to go back and change the rating/stars from three stars to two. This is because I got through the book, and even though it did have potential, it still wasn't the best read out there. And I really had a problem with the lack of depth in the story/writing...

This book had so much potential. I liked the concept of the series, the Elite Kings Club and The Silver Swan, so it's obvious I had no problem with the story. I did, however, had a bit of a problem with the writing. I didn't feel the connection between the characters, I didn't feel Madison Maree Montgomery's friendship with Tillie and Tatum. I didn't feel her brother love for Nate and I still cannot get over how easily she forgives and trust them.
“But you will be dead by the time this is done. The timer starts now. The games have just begun.”

Nor did I understand how she could trust Bishop Vincent Hayes. Sure, Bishop was hot as hell, and definitely knows his way around in bed, but he did nothing to gain Madi's trust. Overall, this book was some serious potential and the sex scenes were hot. Other than that, it was rather meh. Oh and the book reminded me a lot of Fallen Crest High series by Tijan, just that F.C.H was better. Way better. Also, this book was very predictable.
“To stories that fuck you so good you’ll need a cigarette. This is one of those stories.”

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (YA/New Adult?) Contemporary Romance
Series: - Series, Book One
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Bishop Vincent Hayes.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Sure.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2.5/3 stars.

Moving right on to book 2.....

Just popping in to say that I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into, but I’m in love and there’s no turning back. I’m like a fish on a hook. I need to know how this ends.

Loved the mystery, intrigue, and over the top characters. This author really knows how to pull emotions from the reader. Gah! In. Love.

Here’s what you need to know:
This is pure mindfuckery and I loved it.
Mature YA
It’s a wonderful introduction to this cast of characters and left me feeling slightly addicted.
It’s sexy AF...refer back to Mature YA
I’m highly invested in figuring out the riddle of the Silver Swan.

I was thoroughly entertained and cannot wait for more!!

I'm adding another DNF to my shelf!
I tried really hard to finish this book but at 65% I'm quitting!
My biggest issue was that I hated Madi!!! Omg! That girl annoyed the living shit out of me! I know she's in high school but I can't help it. I didn't like her!
The other issue was the editing! Ugh! It was so bad and I'm not one to usually care about that but at one point I had to keep rereading because there was a name mix up.

I finished reading this book yesterday, but my thoughts were all over the place so I decided to take some time, cool off, and then write a review. I thought that would give me a better perspective but nope. All that time did was enrage me even more, and let me think about even more things I hated about this book.

This book was such a let down for me.

50% into the book I was really not vibing to it. I couldn't understand for the life of me how Madi, the heroine, could react the way she was reacting considering the situation she was in. I didn't like the hero. The side characters were really amateur and annoying the crap out of me. In short, things were bad, really bad!

But still I powered. I thought that this book was so hyped up so there had to be something good about it; I just had to hold tight to be pleasantly surprised. Like that was what happened with El Diablo. I was really not feeling its story at the beginning and was close to DNF-ing it but am I glad that I didn't; would have been my biggest mistake. So I didn't want to give up on this book too soon. But was I let down by this book? Hell yes! Nothing got better instead things only went more downhill for me.

There's this whole secretive and mysterious ordeal happening throughout the novel that no one talks about but everybody knows what it is, well except Madi and of course, the reader. My anticipation to know what it was wore off very soon. After all, I am not known for my patience. Like, be done with it. Why is the story being dragged to the next three books?

All in all, I am so pissed at this book for disappointing me so much. I was so excited to read this book and read Amo Jones for the first time. Maybe I should just stick to Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland.

Contains spoilers

Okayyy So what I thought about this book was that the plot and the story line was different, and amazing but it didnt end like the way i thought it would mostly because the heroine who is Madison didnt have any proper or shocking reactions as the secrets revealed, and also when the big secret revealed it was just meh. Like idk how the characters put 2 and 2 together and got the ans, it didnt make sense, i mean the ending where the secret was revealed, it was just rushed up in that part and the characters didnt have any reactions. Especially Madison, she got to know that she was the silver swan ( it was hella predictable) and she was like “ i am the silver swan, HOLLYYYY.....ehhh fine” okay so it was not like she said those words but her reaction was like that which put me off. Through out the whole book, Madison is just horny, she doesnt think anything else other than Bishop’s body. She does not have an ounce of self respect for herself, she is so fucking blinding by her lust and Bishops Body that she just forgives him and his friends after they harass her. She lacks of common sense ( okay i am just being too nice here, fuck this) MADISON IS FUCKING BRAINLESS ( better! Huh ) she is stupid, she is weak, she is pathetic, and i dont know when or how she lost her brain cells but at this point there are none. Zero, 0, NONE.

There is a scene where bishop cuts her dress in the jungle, in front of his friends and she is like “ i wont ever fuck u, blah blah blah, i hate you so much” 5 seconds later they are friends with benefits, and i am like 😶😶😶 WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT BISHOP HUMILIATED YOU IN FRONT OF EVERYONE AND ALSO HE IS A FUCKING JERK?. Bishop is a controlling, possessive, confused idiot. He says he hates Madison, then he says he doesnt, i mean MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MIND. What i liked was the relationship between Nate and Madison and Tillie’s character, also the writing but at the end the writing got rushed up which ruined my reading.

The guys hides so many things from Madison, and throughout the whole book tbh nothing else happens other than Madison lusting over all the guys and saying how hot bishop is. Did i mention how whiny she is? CUZ SHE IS WHINY AF! And then the guys being like “ you tell me what you know but i cant tell what i know* ( thats not the way you fucking gossip, she tells what she knows, u tell what u know ) ( someone teach these guys) 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ anyway, they chase Madison down the forest, cuts her dress, makes fun of her, threatens her and then tells her not to talk or ask questions about it......guess what the Swan does? I bet no one can tell cuz its so unexpected! .... but i ll tell what she does * dramatic background music * SHE DOESNT TALK OR ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THE THREATS, SHE FORGETS IT AND NEVER BRINGS THE TOPIC UP AGAIN! * DUN DUN DUUUNNN* 🙄 the guys keeps repeating these stupid things again and again and the next day madison just forgets as if it never happened

Ppfft! This was a shit show and no where near dark, it was just bleh. Madison is not badass, she is fucking stupid and weak but i gave to give her that she knows how to talk back ( even tho that doesnt do shit ) its a progress tho..... first step to stand up for yourself. Madison is stupid in this book but she gets worse in the next ones ( just gonna put it out there, i should go now )

“Yes, I read. Religiously. It’s what takes me out of my life”

this book was so boring and predictable and just fucking cringy. this reads like a 2014 wattpad book.

this bitch took like 13 showers throughout this book. i don't need to fucking know that??? what was the point??

i literally read ZA7 which is almost 1000 pages faster than i read this barely 300 pages book. the characters are unbearable. i am going to continue reading just because i need to know if those guys is her brother ugh.

"But you will be dead by the time this is done. The timer starts now. The games have just begun."

Madison Montgomery is a rich girl with a tainted reputation because of her mother's actions. Her mom is famous for murdering her father's mistress and then killing herself afterwards. So every time Madison joins a new school, finding friends and forming relationships is beyond difficult.

When her father marries a wealthy woman, Madison gets stuck sharing a mansion with a stepbrother. A sexy stepbrother that is part of The Elite King's Club.

The group is more than trouble. And the leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, has his eyes set on her.

The last book I read by Amo Jones wasn't a hit for me...

but this book...

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!

It has everything I love: mystery, romance, suspense, hot sex. I need book 2 now!!!!

***This story is NOT FOR YOUNG ADULTS.
