Every child's questions presented with simple answers to discover in this interactive book.
"Why is the sky blue?" "What do the birds say when they sing?"
Every kid wants to know the answers to these questions. This beautifully illustrated book gives an exciting way to find out the flaps, tabs, and wheels reveal the answers in a way sure to engage children.
This book is about real questions that children ask about the world around them and provides them with answers which are normally hid behind flaps in the book. When reading this book I really enjoyed this layout as it allows for the children to discuss the question and come up with their views before they find out the answer which can provide an interactive element to the lesson.
Therefore this book allows for the teacher to understand any misconceptions that children may have regarding certain areas whilst also addressing their misconceptions simultaneously. This can then lead onto further activities where the children could actually see how some of things happen which can give them a better understanding of the world.
5/5 2018 Informational K-2nd grade I loved this book because it’s based off questions children ask about the world! Such as clouds, nature, the ocean, etc. this book offers fun pop ups, moving pages with hidden pictures and facts, and the illustrations are so simple and go very well with the theme of the book! I recommend this book if I was doing a lesson on questions about nature, and I would defiantly want each of my students to have a opportunity with this book as an independent read!
and more....I wish I had this book when I was little. Such questions came to mind and I was too shy to ask...and perhaps I wanted to find the answers myself.
Today's children are lucky, they have all the answers and books they'd never dream about.
I'm just not sure that the text and the subject suits the illustrations. The drawings are for 3-6 years old children, but the text is for 6 and older.
Lovely and fun pop up pull out book explaining how some of the world works, my version is called why is the sky blue, but same picture on the front, although it's for kids I didn't know some of the answers.
