Incredibly useful advice for anyone who runs a newsletter. The information about what flags up spam accounts was especially useful for me. I'll be following more of Barb's writing and advice - she knows her stuff.

For authors, the humble mailing list has been described as the ultimate book marketing channel. With an email list, you can promote and share new ideas, products, and services and then direct readers to a place where they can make the purchase – your website, Amazon, etc. Moreover, email is the fastest, cheapest, most powerful way to engage with your readers in large numbers. No other service, not even social media, is as personal as email, and if done right, you have the potential to sell way more books through email than you can any other way.
Ms Drozdowich has an impressive portfolio of author related “how to …” books and a well-deserved loyal following. With this latest offering, she provides help navigating this extremely important book marketing tool. Sold as a box set of four books Ms Drozdowich covers Strategies To Grow Your List, The Nuts & Bolts of MailChimp, Get Your Emails Delivered, and Newsletters That Rock. Although she focuses on the MailChimp software, many of the lessons learnt cover other popular mail handlers like AWeber email management.
I am a great fan of this type of book since most of the work has been done for me – it is now down to you to put this hard-won knowledge and experience to good use. It is not definitive, but it is another very useful addition to the toolkit for authors to achieve sales success and I believe well worth the price. Get your copy, work it, and see your book sales increase.

This is an excellent primer for anyone wanting to work online using MailChimp. It covers the features of the newsletter service, the laws affecting users in Canada and the USA, and is thorough and clear in basic do's and don'ts.

I wish I'd read this years ago because it would have been awfully helpful. As it is, it didn't offer anything new, but that's probably because I've read the help files and have been using MailChimp for some time. I was hoping to pick up some tips outside of, "Be interesting and have pretty newsletters." It seems there's no secret magic trick!

If you're just starting out selling your product online, or are a new graduate in your first job, you should read this.

I received this book from the publishers via NetGalley and am reviewing voluntarily.

I am impressed by Barb Drozdowich’s books and this box set in particular. It has four extremely useful books:
Book 1 – Strategies to grow your list
Book 2 – The nuts and bolts of MailChimp
Book 3 – Get your emails delivered
Book 4 – Newsletters that rock

I just discovered this author through this box set and I already have a list of other books by her to read. In fact, I just bought one yesterday. She writes mainly for book authors but the content she conveys can also benefit bloggers.
This box set has surely given a lot of work to write. It’s comprehensive, it’s detailed, it’s accessible to read. It makes complex technicalities easy to understand. It’s an extensive how-to set of books for those who want to build a mailing list and establish quality relationships with their readers through newsletters. The second book has detailed instructions about how to work with Mailchimp and I found it useful and simple to follow. It helped me so much since I had just created a MailChimp account with the purpose of starting to create a mailing list for my new blog. These books came just at the right time for me!

I was provided with an arc of this book by Netgalley and the publisher, so I could give an honest review.

This really is the complete kit for beginners, right from signing up for your account and creating a newsletter to simple automations. I've been using MailChimp for a while, but still found lots of things I didn't know and plenty of good advice. All explained clearly without being patronising. Highly recommended.

Do you want a mailing-list-maker guide with tactics to make your newsletter sticky and keep your fans engaged? This clearly organized box set is your new #1 reference. I am one of many who do not find MailChimp “easy.” Targeting the beginning and intermediate user, the book is also useful for the power user to review fundamentals and pick up new tips.

Drozdowich gives the “why” and the “how” of MailChimp’s functions, and, most helpful, shows what she uses or does not use (and why).

Understanding stats and analytics is hard for me, and I am grateful to Drozdowich’s skill as a longtime teacher and tech guru as she remembers that some readers might not understand jargon or analytics read-outs. By pointing out things to watch for in reports, the book does a real service for us who want to make our newsletter work harder. Still, I wished for a glossary!

The Nuts and Bolts of MailChimp became Book 2 of The Complete Mailing List Toolkit: A box set (of 4 books).

I had already looked at how-to articles on the web and at MailChimp's own Introductions and Help Pages for new users. This book (with the video course that links from it) far outstrips them all in coverage of MailChimp features, why (and why not) and HOW to use them, and a clear (for newbies!) explanation of everything! It gave me confidence to plan before plunging in, and to know that I can change things. It gave me a way to visualize what I want in the email campaigns I will design as a VA. And it gave me a reference that I can consult at any time.

I loved the walk-through; those of us just getting in to MailChimp really appreciate this! I’ve long wanted the “popup-signup-form dilemma” solved, and am grateful that the book works to do this, keeping in mind Google’s 2017 new rules on popups. Some legal requirements for newsletters were unknown to me, though.

I applaud the author’s use of her own work in the examples. In the end, as the only manual I need now for managing MailChimp, this book is truly a gold mine!

Another exceptionally useful manual of training from Barb Drozdowich!

When you are running a business, and that includes being a musician, writing books, being an artist or almost any other thing that involves doing anything creatively, a mailing list with email addresses of your clients and other potentially interested individuals is absolutely crucial.
But how do you go about building a mailing list if you are just starting out and how to you handle the communication with those on your mailing list?
This book, or if you like Mailing List Toolkit, takes you from knowing almost nothing to be fairly adept at handling everything pertaining to such a mailing list.
The author clearly has made her own experiences and is more than willing to share with the reader how to go about getting from point a to point b without having too many painful situations occur in-between.
I have very few negative things to say about this set of books because I felt I learned a ton of stuff, even if I have been at it for a while and have read other books on the subject. My one issue is the lack of illustrations in the guide to MailChimp. The step-by-step instructions are excellent and well-described, but occasional actual illustrations of what the pages look like would have been super helpful to really drive the points home and clear any questions that may have arisen.
Other than that, this is an excellent book on the important subject of mailing lists and a phenomenal place to start if you are about to build your very first mailing list.
