Following Ben’s example, your little ones will find courage and confidence through these relatable characters from bestselling illustrator Corey Egbert!
Love this book. I can see some of myself and my son in the main character. I'm a fan of Corey's illustration style and writing, but I'm even more a fan of the man himself. Congratulations on all your successes! I will continue to follow your career.
We LOVED this book. I have a little boy with a middle name of Benjamin who loves dinosaurs, so this book was perfect for him. But I loved reading it too. It was short enough that it holds my small child's attention without him getting bored--I LOVE shorter picture books and this was the perfect length for us. The story is simple and beautiful. And the illustrations are exquisite, with a restrained color pallet of blue/red that reflects the story of being shy and finding new friends. Very well done. To be honest, I cried a bit the first time through this book because it feels so honest and simple and right. Wonderful book. (Disclaimer: I know the author/illustrator.)
Some kids are just shy! This doesn't mean they aren't awesome kids. Ben finally meets someone who likes the same things he does, but it isn't easy to talk to her. Friends
