Fantastic, easy read for any student of animation from one of the modern masters. Basically, this is the unpretentious, friendly middle ground between the beginner's Preston Blair (CARTOON ANIMATION) and the very, VERY advanced Richard Williams (ANIMATOR'S SURVIVAL KIT). Highly recommended.

Learned a lot from this. Very clear and entertaining read. I think the real strength of this books comes after you have tried doing the “by the numbers” animation techniques in other books. It’s not that this contradicts those books, but rather shows you how to change your thinking and being life to your work. But having that foundation is helps greatly.

Very helpful animation reference book. The information in this book is a gem while being short and sweet. You can find what you're looking for fairly quickly while you're animating.

It packs information. You’ll probably won’t follow all his advice on the first read, so I suggest you do all the exercises he suggests on the second time.

Eric Goldberg is a Disney animator. Over the years he has given lectures and taught classes at the studio for its animators. He finally put all his notes into this wonderful book. It comes with a CD that includes quicktime videos of some of the examples he cites in his book.

Eric Goldberg is a brilliant Disney animator responsible for the Genie in Aladdin his style is very zippy and Warner Bros concentrating on strong storytelling poses. This book of his animation notes is one of the best how to books on traditional cartoon character animation.

Just as useful as the Animator's Survival Kit. What makes this book stand out though is it's attention to developing character, not just technique. The disk is comes with is also extremely handy.
