Rate this book
Following the success of the wonderfully wacky and playful Bent Objects, this charming gift book from the offbeat mind of Terry Border features 60 new wire-based creations that seek to express the many wonders and reasons for love. Everyday objects like raisins, cupcakes, pears, and puzzle pieces take center stage as they're bent into clever visual vignettes that provide a new perspective on that ever-elusive emotion. Each photograph is accompanied by a sweet caption that is sure to evoke that warm, fuzzy feeling inside, but with the author's signature ironic twist. In the tradition of bestselling humorous photography books featuring artful creations with food such as Hello Cupcake! and Cake Wrecks, this book will surprise and delight with every spread. And with its affordable price point and gifty trim size, Bent Object of My Affection is the perfect present for loved ones on Valentine's Day, for anniversaries, or "just because."

Not as strong as his first book, which I really enjoyed. This felt more like a line of greeting cards with the captions. Though I do still appreciate Border’s whimsical and clever creativity.

Terry has created a wonderful world where even the most mundane objects come to life and have feelings, much like our own. With the help of some twisted wire--coffee mugs, doughnuts, cheese doodles, and even puzzle pieces express their affections to the everyday world. Terry's artistic vision and fantastic photographic skills create images that you can look at time and time again and marvel at the detail hidden within. The captions to the photographs are witty and fit the images perfectly. This is a great addition to any collection, a birthday gift, or a gift just because you're thinking of someone.

Another terrific collection from the twisted mind of Terry Border. Terry is brilliant at discovering the hidden lives of everyday objects and making them come to life with a just bit of wire and a whole lot of talent. This collection explores the relationships of everything from pasta to potato chips. Alternately romantic and silly, and sometimes just a little dirty, this thoroughly entertaining book is the perfect gift anyone you love who has a healthy sized funny bone.

This was no where near as good as the book Bent Objects. This book had more of a theme I don't think Terry was as free to let his awesome sick sense of humor shine through though its still worth owning.
