Vick As you journey into the new realities held within this anthology, you will encounter the snaggle-toothed monster under the bed. I found this book of short scary stories in the local authors section of a bookstore the last time I visited Spokane. Many of the stories have references to areas in and around Spokane, so I thought that was pretty fun. My favorite stories were "Nailed Shut" by David Jewett and "The Shadowman" by R.N. Vick. "Nailed Shut" felt like it could be a Twilight Zone episode, and "The Shadowman" was both super creepy and had a fantastic ending.
