this book is such a beautifully written and concise piece from ibn qayyim, it describes issues that are so commonly encountered even in modern times among muslims today. he also provides us with the insights on how to fix them and overcome them, and gives a brief overview on how the people who came before us have gone astray and what caused them to go astray. overall it’s such an amazing book and i wish i could recommend it to every muslim

This book was gifted to me a few years ago and I would highly recommend this to anyone who requires a reality check with a dose of compassion. I think including verses from the Qur'an is smart writing because it will encourage you to read tafsir.
