There may be other books that cover similar material, but this one is short, sharp, and goes straight for the jugular. The author doesn't beat around the bush. You purchased it for what it said on the front, and that's just what you get.

I found this book to be very interesting and informative. I haven't been able to work for a long time due to a chronic debilitating illness (which still continues its merry way, unfortunately), but the first thing I learned from this was that the traditional world of employment has obviously changed big time.

I'm not willing to give away the author's secrets, you'll have to buy the book for yourselves I'm afraid, however for someone like me who has lost a lot of self-belief, this would be hard work. Mr Green can talk the talk and has clearly walked the walk. This is his story, and his confidence oozes from every word. This is not a bad thing, he doesn't come across as a smug person. You need to hear these words from someone who has been there himself, or you may not believe it.

It's a well-written piece of work, full of sensible ideas and the correct order to do these in. I can see how a job seeker could quickly become unstuck if they don't follow the author's words very carefully. Overall, it's a good read, insightful and realistic, and I would recommend this for anyone searching to make a positive impact to their future working life. Good luck!

I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout, which I voluntarily read and honestly reviewed. All opinions are my own. I pre-ordered the book anyway, for future reference.

Full disclosure: I just finished reading this because I am the narrator for the upcoming audiobook version. That being said, because I am a narrator, I have to look for new clients all of the time. Since I'm a natural introvert, getting out to network and "sell myself" has always been a struggle.
This book flips the "traditional wisdom" on its ear and comes at the issue from a new perspective - one that has changed my thought process and has already started to yield results in my business.
Although the book primarily focuses on jobseekers, I also strongly recommend this book to small business owner and solo entrepreneurs.
