I received an e-copy of this boxed set in exchange for a fair review. I have loved dystopian fiction from the time I picked up Aldous Huxley's Brave New World in High School. And Rebecca Rode did not disappoint. I was instantly invested in Treena and Vance and all of the twists and turns their lives took in this series. Welcome to NORA, a country established after the United States was decimated by another Civil War. Each citizen enters adulthood with a ceremony where they are rated based on their accomplishments and contributions to society through their school years in order to evenly distribute the population where they would be "most useful" to the society. A number showing their rating is implanted in their forehead so that they are easily recognized by their rating. Ratings can be raised or lowered each year based on your contributions.....or lack of. Consequently, the person with the highest rating in the society becomes the Emperor or Empress by default of their rating. Add to this a corrupt government, outlanders forced to join the citizenship of the country and domineering, overzealous world leaders and you have a wonderful mix of drama, adventure, and dystopian bliss! I loved this series and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good dystopian adventure!

I received an review copy of this boxed set. This is my honest opinion. This series is phenomenal!! I went into this series after reading her contribution to the Shattered Worlds boxed set (read that also, you won't be sorry)...and I freaking LOVED it!!! You see the politics of a world where people are assigned numbers based on what the Government deems they are deserving of. Only this time, they screwed up...Treena is given a number she clearly doesn't deserve. She is sent to the bottom, given a RED number. Her family, her friends, and her peers turns their backs on her. She becomes the pariah. A nobody. A ghost, if you will. She tries to go to the Rater and have them change it, but instead she finds herself at the mercy of the Empress. Immediately, she is given a dangerous assignment. But it's a chance to change her future. What matters more? Her life or a chance at a better future? She accepts and becomes the only female spy, where she meets Vance. And I betterr stop there or I'll spoil the entire box set for you!! LOL Seriously, though. READ THIS BOX SET!! Also, pick up a copy of Shattered Worlds where you'll read Rebecca Rode's contribution (as well as many other great reads).

The Numbers Game Collection: Numbers Game Saga 1-3 by Rebecca Rode was a great read. This trilogy consisted of Numbers Game, Numbers Ignite and Numbers Raging. Set in futuristic America everyone wears a number. It's a form of a rating system. Treena has everything all planned out post Rating Day. That is until things start going off course. I loved this series and can't wait to read more by Rebecca Rode.

An interesting yarn.

As I reread book one and then found that I had books two and three as well I opened them and continued. The common theme seemed to be...find apple...determine that it is in fact a lemon...find a way to destroy the lemon but make a bit of lemonade in the process. Now that I have book 4 I’ll need to decide if I continue on or take a break first.

Story that grew on me

I got the three books and read straight through and when I got to the end I realized that I enjoyed the story There were opportunities for the author to go deeper into certain situations however they kept it clean and superficial That turned out to be a good strategy

This was the first book I read recently after falling out with reading. I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. It helped me find my love for reading again. I would like to point out that I have only read the first book of the season however the rest of the books in the series are on my list to read and I can't wait to get through them all.

It's true to the dystopian genre and feels like a mix of the districts of Hunger Games, the Factions of Divergent along with a whole host of unique quirks about the world it is set in.

I really enjoyed the mai characters Treena and Vance, and I love the development of them both.

The only draw back is that when it came to some of the major events, I could tell what was going to happen but that didn't make the events themselves any less emotional.

Overall an amazing book that helped me fall in love with reading again.

The first book was fantastic and got me caught up in the story and the great characters. The second was good but lacked a little of the surprises and story of the first. The third has been a disappointment and I have not finished it, not sure if I will unless I get bored with other choices.
