USA Today bestselling author Rylee Swann is often found in her writing cave, located in a small purple office in a large old Victorian house in Upstate New York. Here she battles with mammoth spiders, works at her hectic marketing manager job, and enjoys the company of the strong, confident, sexy characters she writes about in her romance books.

Amid all that, she also makes time to snuggle with her two cats, who couldn't care less about the spiders. Much to her chagrin.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and holy hotness, this book was unexpected in the most awesome of ways!! It may be a novella, but Rylee Swann managed to pack it full and create a work of art that balances the erotic with the steamy, the sensual with the sweet, and in the end it is pure perfection!

Caroline, the female protagonist, was an out of work journalist who accepted a job for a magazine she didnt mesh with out of sheer necessity. Her first assignment was to interview the successful Dom, Xavier, who owned the hottest sex clubs the world over. One interview, however, was all it took to change her life forever.

Xavier, the Domly male protagonist, was lonely despite his outlandish success. He was work centered and completely unprepared for Caroline and the feelings, long suppressed in his life, that she drew from him.

Sparks, inhibitions, and zippers fly when these two collide, proving that a book doesnt need to be full length to make you pant for more.

Hot quick read. Love how Caroline knocks Xavier down with the feelings he has for her. Love how he chased after her even though it broke his rules. A great read.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. Short, not so sweet and sexy. “Licking balls is always better than breaking them” ...Was Roy Moore your editor? Lol. It’s a remark like that and the support of remarks like that that leads Caroline to quit her job of eight years. Four months later Caroline is still jobless freelancing whenever she can, when she sees a job at Glam that is perfect for her skill set. Until she arrives to the interview. Suddenly 30 is “mature” and she’s given an assignment of keeping a photo journal of the age lines around her eyes disappearing. When it’s announced at a staff meeting that a new sex Club is opening up on Caroline’s 30th birthday...she is assigned the job of interviewing the owner. Master X owner of the Club X empire has grown ambivalent about the activities at his clubs. There’s no woman that interests him so he’s stopped partaking in his clubs activities. After Master X (Xavier) has turned down 16 requests for an interview. Caroline decides the old adage about taking the mountain to Mohammed and goes to Club X. Xavier sees her immediately and is intrigued. Rylee Swann took a sharp right turn when she did not prolong or use the mistaken identity trope. I loved that both Xavier and Caroline knew who each other was. And that.’s why o loved this novella..it zigged when it should have zagged. Nothing predictable. Great job!

In return for my voluntary and honest review, I agreed to read this book.
And I don't regret that decision at all!!
Rylee Swann has delivered a smoking hot story that looks into the world of BDSM. And here's the kicker ... Not only is she accurate with her descriptions, she put it forth in a beautiful story of love & trust.
If I could give more than five stars I would. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Learn about it before writing about it.

At first I thought to give it 4 stars but the more I thought about it, I said no. No dom worth his salt would accept someone he thought was a submissive topping from below. That would NEVER happen...and if it did, there would be punishment involved. Checkout the Enthrall series of you want to read how real dom acts because this ain't it. What started out as promising fell flat on its face at the end.

A hot, sexy short story.
Caroline quits a job as a journalist because of sexual harassment and goes months before finding a job that doesn't fit.
Xavier is the owner of Cub X, a sex club in seven different cities. He only sees women in the club once then moved on.
Caroline's job is to interview him, he refuses but they do meet in a different of and they get more than they bargained for.

Here`s a book I got back in 12/2017 . And took me to long to read . I hate when I do that .This book was everything I like in a book ... And I love this author . Xavier was one hot Dom. " I`m not having sex with you." I lift a casual shoulder . " That's disappointing ." Her eyes are so large, they are just this side of cartoonish. " It is?" " Yes it is. When I saw you enter the room, I imagined us together. Imagined my hands on your breasts, My mouth on your pussy. I imagined making you come over and over. Imagined you begging for mercy." Yea Baby !! Master X. Was that good.. :)

Caroline's Fantasy🐲, Master X🐺🍆🌋✋
Show Don't Tell!

ARC received for a voluntary and honest review.

Caroline📝💋💔 has a wry twisted outlook on life, one older than her years. Maybe it's all the crap she's been through. She keeps a cactus🌵 named Pete in her apartment and a 📷picture of the cactus🌵 at her desk at work. The cactus🌵 is to remind her of her ex, Pete, a domestic abuser. It's a reminder to never get involved with a prick🌵 like him again!

She's working as a reporter📝 for a newspaper📰, and she's put up with the editor's sexual innuendos and harassment for years. Finally she's had enough and confronts him. He fires her, and his HR guy is the same kind of jerk. So, that's the end of that job!

After a couple of months she finally gets another job at a magazine📰 called GLAM. It's a ridiculous place and she doesn't fit in. Everyone there is practically a teenager and she is 30. She gets her first assignment, and it's to go to the opening of a new BDSM✋ club called Club X. She's to interview Master X🐺🍆🌋✋, the owner.

Master X🐺🍆🌋✋ lives in a fantasy🐲 🌎world. He's tall, still has his hair, he's handsome, ripped💪, and he can be with a different young, beautiful, submissive, woman every 🌙night. But after about ten years of that, he's totally 🔥burned out. At 42 years old, he's been there, done that, and he's lonely and bored.

Caroline💃💋 comes into the club, and Master X🐺🍆🌋✋ spots her immediately. He knows she's very uncomfortable there, and he realizes she's the one that has called requesting an interview sixteen times! He tells her no to the interview, but he will PERSONALLY show🐺🍆🌋✋ her what goes on at the club! You Go Girl💋!
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

This whole book is such a fantasy🐲, but it's a fun, sexy, sweet one, and so well written! Loved💘 it! Recommend!

Caroline and Xavier are so sensationally steamy and sizzlingly sexy in their saucy Domatasic tale. Caroline is having absolutely abysmal luck when it comes to employment. Don’t get her wrong she loves “Lois Lane”ing it but after 8 years her current job has turned her into a glorified tabloid stringer with a sexual harassing boss really adding insult to injury. So fed up she quits and desperately tries to find another writing job - but with it being a dying industry the pickings are slim. Finally she gets a call back with Glam, but the youthful atmosphere just might be the death of the 30yr old. They send her on an assignment to find out about Club X New York’s hottest new BDSM club. Once inside Caroline knows this world is outside anything she could have imagined. Xavier, or Master X, as he is know in these hallowed halls has been growing restless. So focused with expanding the Club X empire he hasn't had the time or inclination to play in quite some time - until a vision in blue walks into his opening night. A lost lamb he is desperate to shepard. Turns out this woman is none other than the journalist that has been hounding him for an interview. If Caroline wants to know about his world he will give her a very hands on demonstration. His limits are finite and clear, but something about Caroline has him rethinking everything.

Hot🔥Hot🔥Hot🔥
Caroline is about to turn 30. She’s an out-of-work journalist looking for a job. When she finally finds something, it’s at a fashion magazine with a bunch of 20 somethings and all their superficiality!

Her first assignment is at Club X. A posh, new sex club catering to an alternative lifestyle and fulfilling sexual fantasies. She wants to interview the club’s owner Xavier Cross aka Master X and write an article.

Caroline finds herself inside the club. Curiousity and desire fill her unexpectedly. She had many preconceived notions but they are about to be tossed aside. She meets the eyes of a handsome man on the balcony above her. While she gets distracted watching a stage performance he approaches her. Their attraction is intense. And he makes his desire for her clear.

Upon an introduction, Caroline realizes he’s the man she wants to interview. Xavier doesn’t want an interview but is willing to give her a hands on experience that she can write about.

And so Caroline’s night of exploration and pleasure and pain begins. Their experience is intense. One night, one scene, no strings. But after a night like that, never having that again is soul crushing. Maybe the rules we place upon ourselves are meant to be broken? Letting love in can heal a lonely heart.

This was a quick read and I wanted more of Xavier and Caroline! It’s a sexy with a little bit of kink mixed in. Enjoy your Club X experience!

Caroline work at the same newspaper but, lately the paper was becoming more of a gossip rag. Caroline lands another job and her first article is to interview Master X at his new sex club. Xavier was looking down from the balcony he spots Caroline who looked out of place.

Xavier goes up to Caroline and stands behind her and comments in her ear as she watched a Dom with his submissive. Caroline turns around and sees it is the man from the balcony. Xavier introduces himself to her she tells him she is a reporter from Glam who has been trying to interview him. Xavier tells her he will give her insight to the lifestyle and she will be gaining knowledge for her column. Caroline gives it a try because she did have questions for him.

Caroline and Xavier go to one of the empty rooms. He shows her a little of the lifestyle which she found enjoyable he did tell her up front that she only gets one night Caroline does get her interview. X asks her if she wants to take a shower as aftercare but tells him no. He tells her he will have his driver take her home.

Once Caroline leaves he realizes he might have made a mistake letting her go. His friend runs into him and sees his face he tells him about her being the journalist. His friend tells X that Caroline left crying and wanting to know what happened. Will Xavier go after Caroline and straighten everything out? Or does he just let her go and deal with his being alone.

I guess you will have to read the book.

Okay, Caroline. Let’s face it dear. You have landed in an alternative universe. Apparently, GLAM is not your ordinary glamour magazine. No. That’s right. It’s a good thing you had those breathing exercises in today’s meeting…

Give Life Alternative Meanings… Breathe in, Caro. Breathe out. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride. Lightbulb noses notwithstanding, your new group of coworkers is… I know. Words fail me, too.

When a woman needs to pay rent, and put food on the table… and keep said table from being repossessed-- she accepts her assignment and goes to a sex club to interview the Dom. Of course she does. Breathe in, Caro. Breathe out. Your life will never be the same.

I was very hesitant to read this book. And I have to admit, I put it off for a few days. I usually avoid stories with Dom in the title. It just isn’t my…thing.
Maybe I read it because, like Caroline, I wanted to see if I could understand.
In any case, the book is very well written. Caroline is really a wonderful character, and Xavier… Well, I may still not fully understand the lifestyle, but he certainly softened me up a little. And if Caroline was his kryptonite… well, together their fire was glorious.

Bottom line: 4 stars. Because the story is really well written, but I am not won over to the lifestyle.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Rylee Swann has given us, yet again, another sure page turning winner of a book. caroline is a journalist, a serious one, and when the paper where she works is taken over and turns out fluff to read she quits. Three months later she still has no job then she gets lucky and a job at Glam magazine. On her 30th birthday she is told to get an interview with Master X, the owner of the new sex club in the city. She tries 16 times but no reply for an interview so she decides to go see him. Xavier is 42 years old and feels both lonely and jaded. he's done it all and he is unsatisfied with his life. Then in walks a beauty whom he does not know. But he does know that she is going to be his! When he finds out that she is the journalist wanting an interview he again says no but offers her an alternative which she accepts. Thus begins the beginning of the rest of their lives. Expect passion, lust, intrigue, learning to trust, feelings, expectations will change and love with emerge. All woven in a cleverly penned novel by Rylee that I'm sure will keep you entertained.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Wow! Hot, steamy and so much more than just an interview!

Well, Rylee, you have done it again! I loved this story.

Caroline quits her job as a journalist after being subdued by the chauvinistic men who run the paper she used to love to work for. Forced to eat through her savings until she finds more work, a job opportunity lands her in the world of GLAM magazine. Feeling unfashionable, not young enough and unconfident she finds that her first job at the magazine is to write an article on a new sex club in town, Club X and more importantly get an interview with the fiercely private Dom, Master X.
Armed with nothing more than her stubbornness and tenacity to get the job done she walks into the unknown world of Club X. What she doesn't expect to find is that it is not at all what she expected and the Dom himself can sense something in her. When the two meet they heat up the pages from the outset, but will this be more than just an interview with the Dom?

This book is shorter than some of Rylee's other work but you will not be disappointed.

I read an ARC of this book voluntarily for an honest review.

Caroline is having no luck in the job department, having just left one journalism job due to sexual harassment, now she is working for a magazine whose idea of "mature " is 30.. the poor girl cannot catch a break! Given the task of interviewing Master X the elusive owner of a widely known BDSM Club, Club X is set to open.
Trouble is, he refuses to do the interview, so Caroline puts herself in the midst of the club on opening night, Xavier ( Master X ) notices Caroline right away, which is odd since he hasn't been very interested in most women, when he makes a move to speak to the nervous Caroline he learns she is the women who have been bothering him for an interview- not wanting her to leave because of the intense connection he tells her the only way she'll get her interview is to tey out a private room!
Xavier and Caroline are about to have one interview they'll never forget!
What a steam filled story that had me glued to my kindle! I enjoyed this insta- all connection, with the emotional twists.
Love it when a novella reads like a full novel!

TAKE A CHANCE!
BDSM a romance with some humor. Caroline and Xavier: Caroline was insecure about herself and her body after her last relationship. When assigned to interview Master X / Xavier at the opening of a BDSM club she did so with trepidation. Then she met Xavier. The attraction was mutual. He was lonely and tired of his one night stands. When he saw Caroline he felt things he had not in a long time. I loved the fact that Caroline took a chance to discover BDSM first hand for one night with Master X. She would get her interview. She enjoyed what she experienced with Master X that night which happened to be on her 30th birthday. Xavier realized she was it for him and went after her. This is a quick read and enjoyable read full of HOT steamy sex. I highly recommend this book.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Interview with a Dom has an interesting concept and I enjoyed the premise of the book. The characters were interesting but honestly it felt flat to me. This is an extremely short novella and extremely rushed. We go from needing an interview to wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am in .25 seconds.

With how short the novel was, Rylee was unable to capture a in depth character. I was grasping at straws to feel any sort of emotions with the characters or plot. I just wish there was more to the characters and more to the plot line. The smut scenes were developed though with is what raised my rating from 2 stars to 3.

All in all, if you're reading it for the smut, it's great. If you're reading it for character development or plot, I would pass on it.

Mmmm. This is a hot little number. It's a short so the progression moves fast but it's very well written with likeable characters. The BDSM is mainly club based and on the lighter side but the Dom in this book is a master at seduction. His ability to draw Caroline in was well translated on the page and in turn drew me in to the story. There was a lot of substance to the story as well. Aspects of the story line could have made this an emotional read if the book were longer. I would love to read a full length book based on this story. I think the author does a good job of portraying the emotional aspects of Caroline's surrender to the idea is submitting. The insta love was so insta it was disorienting but that's why I say a full length book would have worked even better here.

Overall a great read that is sweet, hot and witty. I really enjoyed it.

Very good

I really enjoyed reading this story, it was what I wanted and the author didn't disappoint. Both characters are mature adults who know what they want and how to express their feelings. The subject of BDSM and abuse was also approached respectfully and with tact and understanding. The storyline itself was a very good idea overall, I loved both characters and Caroline in particular was my favourite. My only criticism would be the length of this book, which I think would add tremendously if the story was more complex and main characters were given the opportunity to interact more outside their first encounter. Also epilogue felt bit rushed and again could be used to give more insight into their lives as a couple. Despite though the above I still liked the story very much and would recommend it to others.

Just before her 30 years old, Caroline quit her reporter’s job because of harassment and the way the newspaper evolves. The only job she finds is in GLAM magazine (surrounded by youths and beautiful people) and her first article will be about a new sex club and his owner, just the day of her birthday. She can’t be more depressed. When she’s there, she’s attracted to Xavier who is the owner. She can interview him only if he can show her BDSM world personnaly.
Good story with lots of descriptions of BDCM world like an initiation. I like the characters, it’s really well written, but it could have deserved more chapters, for their past, for exemple, which is important in their actual life, but not completely explain

I thoroughly enjoyed author, Rylee Swann's newest book. The story was very well written and I enjoyed the characters of Xavier and Caroline. Xavier was an owner of several BDSM clubs and Caroline was a journalist who new nothing about BDSM. She was sent to interview Xavier for his newest club opening in New York. Little did she know what she was about to get herself into and so their story begins. Once Xavier meets Caroline he's smitten with her and vice versa for Caroline. Will they both be willing to open themselves to a relationship? You need to read this book to find out. You will not be disappointed. This book is worth the read and definitely recommended for reading. There are sexual situations in this book but they are crucial to the story line. This book is a 5 star read.

I really like this book. The story was captivating and funny and loving at the same time. I immediately felt the connection between X and Caroline. The way the book is written you will get a really good description of the feelings that Caroline goes through. The book is written in dual pov so you also get to know X’s thoughts.

The only downside of this book is that the insta love is too much. The book could easily be longer and when Caroline leaves there could have been added a couple of days in between or more.

I hate it when really good books are to short. I have never read anything by Rylee Swann but I will definitely check out more of her books.

Holy Hotness!! Rylee Swann sure knows how to turn up the heat!!! Caroline has just started a new job at a trendy magazine after her last job was turning more towards gossip than news. At almost 30, she’s older than all her peers and feels a bit out of sorts. She’s given a assignment to interview the owner of the new BDSM club. Master X is a Dom and owner of the club. Their attraction is instant and sooo hot! I loved the little tidbits of Caroline’s past and how Master X picked up on it all and vice versa. The scenes at the magazine seem all too real. I LOVED THIS BOOK! I did not want it to end!

Trying to get an interview just got personal.

I received an ARC for this book.

Carolyn just got a new job. Her first assignment is to interview the Dom that owns the new sex club that's opening. After trying unsuccessfully to get an interview she just shows up on opening night. She doesn't dress in fetish gear she feels out of her depth. While watching the stage show a man she noticed earlier steps up behind her. When she finds out who he is she's stunned. It's Master X. The man she's wanting to interview. He say he has to show her, that's the only way she'll get her story. Who knew a couple hours at a sex could change the course of her life.

Rylee Swann's newest book Interview with the Dom is a brilliantly well written short read.
Caroline and Xavier's story was totally hot hot!!! The attraction is instant and the chemistry is absolutely explosive!!!!
Xavier is bored of his life, women and clubs but that all changes as soon as Caroline enters his newest club. Caroline a journalist is here to interview the notorious Master X about the BDSM lifestyle but he convinces her that she will understand things better if he shows her.

Quick sexy read

This was a very quick read. Caroline and Xavier have an instantaneous attraction at his new club. She doesn't recognize him as Master X until he introduces himself. When he learns she is the reporter trying for a story, he offers up a chance to experience the lifestyle for her article. Caroline puts on a brave front and jumps in to her night with Master X. This book was pretty tame in regards to BDSM books. Just enough to keep it steamy. Definitely read more from this author.

📚I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader's copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.📚
What an interesting premise for a book! Caroline is assigned to write an expose on the new BDSM club and ends up falling for the owner. Xavier offers her a deal she can't refuse, nor does she want to. I find the whole power exchange between D/s so intriguing and Rylee Swann does a great job with that aspect of the book. The book moves quickly, the chemistry is hot, and its a tough one to put down.

An interview you'll want to read~

I honestly can't say there is anything I didn't like about the story. Xavier, a Dom who is more than meets the eye. Caroline a woman who was going through a rough patch and trying to find her way and her given field. The two characters coming together was more than I could have wished for. Yes there's Kink, but there's also a deeper story here. This is the first book I read by this author but I guarantee if there are like this it won't be the last.

Woohoo

This was so good. I loved the male lead character as a dom. Exuding strength, sexual intelligence, and intensity he mastered the bedroom completely. I like the fact that we did get some background information about our lead characters and this connected me enough to the story to give it a close read, and to review parts that I liked. Normally I choose to skim and quickly move through these short little stories but this is so much better than some of the "three star" titles that I have been reading. I will look for more by this author. ☺
