4 stars. This is a solid introduction to how enneagram types interact with one another. Each chapter presents a different enneagram type and suggests strategies for both the person of that type, plus anyone relating to that type. Similar to The Road Back to You, this is more of a primer on the subject than an in-depth exploration. There were so many places where I wanted to learn more and wanted more than just one sentence on how certain types relate to one another. I think there are other enneagram books out there that would satisfy my desire to drink from the fire hose of in-depth enneagram information, but this one serves as a good jumping-off point that isn't too overwhelming.

I was attracted to this book because… to follow up in what I learned in the book, The Path Between Us. The author’s recommendation was to read this guide after you finish the book, not in conjunction with the book. I agree it was helpful to have read the entire book before using the guide.

This book was about This guide provides additional information on how the nine Enneagram types relate to each other

Things I liked about this book It did help me further understand what I read in the book.

Love all the books Suzanne writes. This one I was hesitant to read but when I found it free on audible I figured why not! I really enjoyed it and her insight on building better relationships with other numbers. I would recommend to get the most out of this book is to know your number and the numbers of those closest to you.

Someone recommended that I just read the study guide. It was a useful synopsis of the book but left me wanting more, so I think I will read the book it accompanies.

This study guide for The Path Between Us is excellent! In some ways, I may have actually enjoyed it even more than the book because it provides extremely helpful charts and helped me reflect well on what I read. The study guide is meant to be used with a group, and Stabile encourages participants to work through the material after reading the main book. Since working through The Path Between Us by progressing a chapter at a time is probably not the best way to engage the content, each session of the study guide focuses on a specific theme that can be engaged through the lens of every enneagram type.

This study guide has 6 main sessions followed by a section for leaders that provides recommended instruction for how to lead each session. The sessions include:
1) The Best Part of You Is the Worst Part of You
2) What We Want
3) What We Fear
4) What We Offer
5) Keeping Each Other Forgiven and Free
6) Ways to Help Ourselves and Others

My leadership team is currently reading through The Road Back to You as an introductory to the enneagram, but I've been immersing myself over the last year in multiple enneagram resources in order to train them well. Though I probably won't use the study guide as it's designed to be used since my team has different needs, I am eager to incorporate parts of it into training for my team members. I highly recommend this resource for everyone who reads The Path Between Us, but especially for those who are wanting guidance in how to talk about it well with others.

I haven't read the actual book that this study guide accompanies, but the study guide alone was so insightful. I honestly enjoy the study guide format over normal books in some instances. Especially on a topic such as this I think that answering questions and going over situations in my mind is really helpful for me when processing and learning.

This book posed many great questions and situations that help the reader better understand why some people act the way that they do in the context of relationships based on their primary fears and motivations. Very insightful! and convicting!

A helpful guide best used in a group setting after completing The Road Back to You and The Path Between Us. Contains helpful information and practical steps to loving self and loving others despite any type differences.
