Best reference for the representation theory of Sn I've found *as written by a mathematician*. The construction of Specht modules still makes no sense. For a sensible take on the construction, do read "birdtracks and lie groups" which explains these via (anti)symmetrizers.

Did I read all of this? No. Am I done working with it? Yes. I hope to come back to it some day and understand more of it.
