Provides additional advanced strategies and practice for the most difficult types of questions on the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) exam, with hundreds of practice questions and answer explanations, test-taking tips and techniques, and other preparation assistance. Original. 20,000 first printing.
Unfortunately, I didn't get 800 on the exam, but got close (730). Once you get to this stage, you really need lots of practice, which this book doesn't have. However, the quality of tips to save you time and to get the crux of questions is good. That's why it gets 3 stars rather than lower. I'd recommend this book for someone who has a large questions bank, and who needs some abstract guidance while working through them. But it's still worthwhile to pick up to get some pointers going into the test.
What I liked most about this book was that you had 2-4 questions to answer and then it took you step-by-step on how to find the right answer to each of those questions. So instead of having to take full tests or full sections before checking answers, I could understand where I went wrong almost immediately.
I liked that they outlined common additions to the normal questions the GMAT asks. Hopefully this helped me get a better score, but I won't know until Saturday.
