The Front Range Butcher is Book 7 in the Jarvis Mann Private Detective Hardboiled Mystery Series by Randy Weir. After his last gruesome murder twenty-two years ago, the Front Range Butcher resurfaces, continuing his sadistic terror. Jarvis Mann is hired by Jonas Diaz, a writer who investigated the former murders.

He interviews Simon, a crippled man who can help with the case, but the information comes in riddles and mind games that intentionally test the detective’s patience. Jarvis refuses to drop the case when he gets warnings, plus Chinese and Russian mobsters from another case also threatens him if he doesn’t do what they want. The only one he takes seriously comes from Jonas, who happens to be his ex-girlfriend’s father.

If you’re squeamish, skip reading this riveting novel because the scenes with the serial killer are very detailed, graphic and realistic enough to make me an observer beside him. The cover illustration should give the hint. I cringed a bit, but it’s wonderfully written and I just couldn’t put it down. It’s also the first book I’ve read from Randy Weir and would like to read the other mysteries in the series.

Jarvis is a tough, persistent detective who also has a sharp tongue that seems to irritate people, especially law enforcement and hoodlums. I like him and other main characters that have recurring roles in the series. The suspense and twists went hand in hand to the very end. Randy Weir’s The Front Range Butcher from The Jarvis Mann Private Detective Hardboiled Mystery Series is recommended.

Wow this book certainly made up for the shortness of the previous one. It was packed to the brim full of action and drama.
By the middle of the book I thought I had solved it, boy was I wrong and I loved that.
This book has so many twists and turns you won't see coming, and features many of the characters I've fallen in love with.
Hope to see more of Rocky's story in the future.

I don't think it's much of a secret that I have a crush on Jarvis Mann. He has a sarcastic tone, is witty and engaging (ok, fine - maybe at inappropriate times) and is timing and crime solving ability goes above and beyond what the average PI could do. It's cool to watch him become more confident in his skills and abilities and to be able to settle down a bit and not be such a "player".

I started reading THE FRONT RANGE BUTCHER as the "Golden State Killer" was finally caught and I have been following along to see if his killing streak truly did stop when "we" think it did. So as I was reading THE FRONT RANGE BUTCHER, I was thinking - wow, wow, wow. Ok, I see where this is going - whoops, I am wrong. I wonder...

As with all of the Jarvis Mann stories, this one moves quickly and with several plot points that are easily defined. Even though they are slightly entwined, each could be dis-entangled and created as its own story. We also get to visit with characters we've met in previous books. I think if you haven't previously read this author, you will still be able to enjoy it as everyone is very well explained.

I absolutely recommend this book, this series and this author.

This is #6 for Jarvis Mann, but it’s my first read of the series. OMG! how have I missed the other 5! Jarvis had me at the beginning of the book and by the end, he was definitely my fav PI. Weir has developed a likable PI that’s smart with a high success rate for cases solved, witty (all though that’s not always well received), and popular with the ladies that cannot resist his magnetic smile. Of course, Jarvis has to have well written storylines and Weir has that covered. The serial killer case is his priority and his visits with the suspect are compelling, reading. No spoilers, the plot is just too good. Cannot leave out the romance aspect and Weir has 2 loves for Jarvis, two relationships not the norm, but work perfectly for him. Love this PI, and the riveting storylines. R. Weir is added to my fav authors and books list. I have some catch up reading to do in the Jarvis Mann series. For me #6, ‘The Front Range Butcher’ is a great goodread!

The Front Range Butcher is book 7 in the Jarvis Mann Detective Series. Personally I think it can easily be a stand alone. Even though there are several characters from previous books that come into play in this book the author does such a great job describing them and how they interacted previously without going into too much detail that you don't feel like you a missing something. Though, I highly recommend you do read all the other books only because I really like this series and it gets better with each book. You also get a better understanding on how Jarvis' character has evolved from book to book.

Jarvis Mann is a private detective and in this book you can really tell his reputation is causing him to get more and more of a following. He's getting more in demand for jobs. Which is great for him as at the beginning of the series he was barely scraping by financially.

His sarcastic personality comes across quite well in this book. It had me chuckling a few times when others just weren't too thrilled with it. It's a wonder sometimes he doesn't just get punched for it.

As a reader I felt I got quite a bit of a bonus in this book. There were 3 different jobs being investigated. The author did a great job with them as they overlapped each other but you were able to easily follow along without getting confused as to the details of each case. My brain was going on overload trying to figure out 'who done it' in each case. Loved the fact that just when I thought I had it figured out there would a twist.

Also loved the danger element. There was a couple times that I was practically at the edge of my seat as I was reading along as I felt either Jarvis was going to get seriously injured or killed.

Great job, R.Weir, you have outdone yourself with this one! Can't wait till the next book in the series!

I give The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7) by R. Weir, 5 stars.

Jarvis Mann is back again, but this time he is after a serial killer. This killer started his destruction over twenty years ago and now is suddenly at it again. Not involved with the original investigation, Jarvis is now brought in to see if he can help. He feels like he must do something before this vicious killer strikes again. But why is he back? And is he back or is it someone new? The impossible could now be possible and this could get Jarvis into more trouble than he has ever been, and that's saying a lot. Not to mention the other things happening to Jarvis that seem too much of a coincidence. Can he stop him? What price will Jarvis pay?

I have been a fan of this author since I first started reading him. This is another hit, maybe even better than the rest. The style of writing and and the quirkiness of Mann are the same, but this story is completely unlike the previous ones. I loved this book, it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, trying to figure out the different things happening. The writing was once again magnificent and reading about Jarvis had his friends and family once again felt like coming home. I could not wait to read another Jarvis Mann book and was pleasantly surprised at yet again how good this was. I hope this series goes on for a long time and cannot wait for the next one.

I highly recommend this book to fans of private investigators who are a little different and will do anything he can to protect his city and his people. Reading the previous books in the series first is not needed, but I highly recommend it.

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel
By: R Weir
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel by R Weir is a thrilling suspense book that I absolutely loved reading. I love the series and the character of Jarvis Mann. He is a no-nonsense PI who seeks justice for those who have been wronged and he goes all out to find the truth. He would be the person I would go to if I needed help. This story finds Jarvis hired to investigate a series of murders that happened over 20 years ago and now seem to have started up again. The murders are horrific. No arrest was ever made. His investigation leads him to a man that he comes to believe holds answers to these crimes. This man is cold, calculating, and manipulative. Now he must race against time to find the evidence that will solve this case before another murder is committed. This is a book that had me on the edge of my seat and quickly turning pages to find out what happens next. There is plenty of action and danger that Jarvis must face. I also enjoyed reading about the secondary characters. There are those who help Jarvis and others who have their own agenda which cause trouble for him. Jarvis uses every resource available to solve the cases he works. Will Jarvis outsmart this killer and get the justice that the victims and their families deserve? Read this book to find out. This is a series that I would recommend reading in order. Doing this made my reading experience a smoother one. I have never been disappointed by any story that this author has written and I can’t wait to read what he writes next!

The Front Range Butcher (Jarvis Mann Detective #6) by R. Weir was spine thrilling.

My first read my this author and my first time reading a book in the Jarvis Mann Detective series. Okay so I skipped a few, but hey, I'm good like that. But in all seriousness, this book was written so well that I didn't fell like I was missing anything. Sure there were a few things that I didn't quite get (inside jokes and what not from past characters.), but I didn't mind that, it made me love this book even more, and believe me, I will be going back and reading the other books.

Right out of the gate I was captured, the flow was dark, the tone was edgy and thrilling. I love these types of books (and TV shows), the twist and turns and of course the spine chilling danger. If the cover doesn't get your gut in knots then you my friend are twisted. Because as this books weaves it's way through not only one, but three different, yet almost connected cases, you are taken into the dark places, and thats where nightmares are made.

And our MC, Jarvis, I fell for him fast then light speed. Snarky, witty and a little old school, he had me in giggles at the most inappropriate times. I wish I can tell you about character development, but at this point in the series, he's pretty much there. This is where I need to go back and follow his journey, to see what it took to get him to this point.

Overall I was deeply impressed and hooked on this book, and now series. So please take my super high recommendation that you will get lost in the darkness, only to be pulled back into the light at the very last moment.

Happy Reading

The Front Range Butcher ( Jarvis Mann Detective) by R.Weir
Rated 5 stars

Another amazing book by R Weis! The storytelling was perfect and it really kept me on my toes. The characters are crazy, interesting and plentiful as always. I was taken away on this journey with Jarvis almost from the beginning. His sleuthing mind draws me in and I want him to figure this out as much as he does.

Jarvis is a fire starter! He just keeps running around planting little fires to try to get people to spill their info to him. His time spent with Simon is the best! I enjoyed seeing them challenge each other. All of his relationships are interesting. It seems not many really like him..they only tolerate him. Though there are a few that do like him although begrudgingly. He does have a knack for riling people up with his smarty comments.

The most common sentence when Jarvis shows up somewhere “what the hell do YOU want!” He is so loved! :-)

In this book there were many references ( I assume) from previous books. Some of them were distracting to me. I wonder now if one of them is setting up for the next book. Anyway that was really my only issue with this book. I wanted to stick with the main story not be distracted with the characters/references from previous books.

I almost wish this was on audio. I think it would be great to listen to. With all of the ups and downs and back and forths. The multitude of characters. It would be good!

I do look forward to more mind intriguing stories from this author!

jarvis Mann's cases just keep getting more and more dangerous and deep. As he hunts a serial killer it will keep you on the edge of your seat and biting your nails. There is not a dull moment in this book.
As Jarvis deals with The Front Range Butcher there are also people from his past that come back to haunt him - professional and personal.

"He didn't expect her to go easily, which he welcomed, the others had been so easy to put down. A challenge to his skills, his mentor urging not to take her lightly"

This is a story that will let you figure some mysteries out but keep you guessing on the other ones. Even though there are many things going on at once you are able to follow the story well without getting lost. The characters - good and bad- make this book a thrilling and suspenseful read. Each one makes an impression. I was on my edge of the seat the whole book but Mr. Weir has you holding your breath and your heart pounding about 95% into the book. I didn't think things were going to end well. I love the chapters from The Front Range Butchers's prospective.

"The Butcher wasn't waiting any longer, not caring what his orders were. He needed his fix, after having to wait for many days.

I love books filled with mystery and suspense and this one did not disappoint. It has plenty of twists and turns and will keep you guessing to the end.

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective Hardboiled Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7) by R. Weir is the seventh book in his Jarvis Mann series. I have read all of the this author's books and they keep getting better and better with each one. I highly suggest reading all of the books in this series, it will help you get to know Jarvis and enrich your enjoyment of this series. I love how this author can pull me into his story with ease and keep me engaged until the end. I love his Jarvis Mann character as he kind of reminds me of one of the old time detectives from the 60s. He is a little rough around the edges but he is connectable. In this book Jarvis is hired to find a serial killer. The killings started twenty-two years ago and then just stopped but now he is back. Once again Jarvis finds himself in the middle of life threatening danger as he tries to bring this serial killer to justice. There is one man who has the answers Jarvis is looking for, will he find more then he was expecting? This story is full of action and twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what will happen next. I highly recommend this book. Find out what Jarvis has gotten himself into this time or if this case will prove to much for him.

P.I. Jarvis Mann has a new case. Or an old one, depending on how you look at it. When his ex-girlfriend's father wants to meet with him, Jarvis is nervous as first. But when he tells Jarvis that The Front Range Butcher, the serial killer from twenty years ago is back at it, Jarvis is more than keen to get on with the case.

This is probably the most 'investigative' crime thriller I've ever read. Jarvis is a P.I., and he's damn good at it. We get to see a lot of his world, meet his friends and contacts, watch him pick up on favors, and follow him as he follows the leads. The book is long and sometimes very slow paced, but only because Jarvis actually does a lot of investigating. I can imagine many other version of people writing this book where Jarvis instantly would have been thrown into life-threatening action. (And I'm not saying he isn't here). I'm just saying he actually does what he's supposed. Weir has put a huge amount of work into creating a huge, vivid world, the kind I'd expect from fantasy writers. In one sense, I feel like I know this world, as if I've gotten used to it, I understand it, even though this is the first Jarvis Mann book I read. There's something familiar about it, in the way that it pulls you in.

This is a great mystery thriller that delivers like any mystery thriller should. Hugely recommended.

The Front Range Butcher is book six (and the seventh instalment) in the Jarvis Mann Detective series, by R. Weir. This is a fantastic detective story, with lots of mystery, suspense, danger, a serial killer investigation, intrigue, tension, and action.
We have met Jarvis Mann in the previous books- and I just love this character and the series as a whole, so much. This book brings Jarvis his most dangerous and testing case yet. When a serial killer is back in action after a couple of decades, Jarvis is tasked with the investigation which will test him like never before, bringing lots of danger, as well as pitting him against a cold and calculating killer. In a race against time before the killer can strike again, with secrets, and hidden agendas- will Jarvis be able to bring closure to the case, once and for all?
Mr. Weir has out done himself yet again! This is such a superb story that held me in its grip from beginning to end. It is a complex and multi-layered storyline, which Mr. Weir expertly choreographed into a smooth and gripping tale. This has just taken the top spot as my favourite of the series, so far!
I can’t wait to read the next book “Mann in the Crossfire”!
Brilliant!

Thank you, Mr. Weir!

The Front Range Butcher by R Weir is the seventh book in the Jarvis Mann Detective series and I read it as a standalone – it was my introduction into Jarvis Mann world and oh my goodness what an introduction it was! I am sure some of the characters are from the previous books and I had no idea but still, it did not stop me from being swept away by the story.
Jarvis Mann is a private eye and as it is his seventh book then it means that his cases are becoming more and more demanding and this one, The Front Range Butcher, is a gruesome one! AND the writer gave us also a present, it is not just the one investigation that we are following along Jarvis, there are actually three cases!!!
The Front Range Butcher is a story of a serial killer and oh my, the way the writer goes into the mind of the killer, it gave me chills and some sleepless nights … the depravity of the human species in its depth … I felt disgusted and I felt hopeless and felt lost and I felt … hope, hope that Jarvis would figure out who the monster is and put a stop on his inhumane acts and give closure the families of the victims …
There is so much danger in this story, and twists while enjoying the wittiness and snarkiness of Jarvis … Pick up a copy and join the chase …

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective Hard Boiled Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7)
By R. Weir

Ok so we are now on book seven in the Jarvis Mann series, have always enjoyed reading this series and this book is no different. It’s a long book with seventy chapters but well worth the time it took me to read. What’s a detective story without mystery, suspense and of course danger. Jarvis Mann as you will know is them main character if you have read the other books in this series. For Jarvis in this book he is facing probably the most dangerous investigation that he has ever had. His new case comes into play when a serial killer has come back on the scene after being quiet for a couple of decades. Or has the killer been quiet? Jarvis will find himself being tested in ways that he has never been tested before. Jarvis also needs to keep himself and those around him safe from this serial killer. Will he be able to do this? Everyone who has read the previous books are not going to be disappointed by The Front Range Butcher, as with the other books it’s a five-star read. Thank you, Randy, for another awesome book. I can not wait to see what Jarvis gets up to in the next book.

How do I review this book? Well, the first question is did you like it? Yes I did and why? Firstly it’s written by one of my favourite authors so I expect action, mystery and a plot with twists and turns. Secondly, I expect to be totally immersed in the story and enjoy every page. True to form I got both in shed loads.

This is a bit of a gruesome one. Jarvis Mann has to try to put himself in the mind of a serial killer who started his spree 20 years ago and appears to have resurfaced. He is pushed to the limit trying to find out if it is the same person and if not who. Very gritty and had me on the edge of my seat. A definite page turner and very tense reading. I just kept hoping that this was not Jarvis’ last case and he would not be be killed off ending the series. Great to learn more about Rocky in the sub plot and also the appearance of characters from previous stories. Be prepared for a twist that you would maybe not have thought of too and enjoy being drawn into the action with Jarvis Mann needing to solve the mystery before people he loves become victims of the Frontline Butcher.

A riveting read for P.I. enthusiasts and highly recommended especially if you have read the series from the beginning.

R. Weir has outdone himself with his newest novel, The Front Range Butcher.
The Front Range Butcher sucked me in from page one, and I didn’t want to stop reading it once I started. Jarvis Mann has met his match with this case, and I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen throughout the story. It’s packed with mystery, suspense, and action. So many times I felt I was right there with Jarvis, trying to figure out who the Butcher was, and I was left shocked at the outcomes.
R. Weir definitely kept me interested throughout the entire story, and all the twists made the book so much more intriguing. The Front Range Butcher is now my favorite out of the Jarvis Mann series, and I cannot wait to see what will come next! I highly recommend checking this one out because it’s such a thrilling read.

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective Novel by R. Weir was fantastic! It was interesting and intriguing to read through the Butchers eyes, even if only every so often. I thought the author did a wonderful job with painting the pictures, even so gruesome. Jarvis Mann is a PI who is hired to assist in solving a serial killer case. The original case was over twenty years ago but now the killings have started again. Though Jarvis picks up other cases in the book, it was interesting reading how he kept himself together and each case separate. I have to admit, I was first drawn to this book because it was based in my favorite areas of Colorado and because of how it sounded like a show I enjoy. I don’t read too many murder mysteries so I never expected to become so consumed by the novel that I couldn’t put it down. While I am finding out that this is actually book seven in the series, I had no trouble understanding what was happening. The author describes characters well and it is as if you’re just being introduced. I am happy to have found a new series and author to enjoy!

Wow! What a story! “The Front Range Butcher” is the seventh book in the Jarvis Mann series by R. Weir. This story is a standalone, but the other books really help build the world of Jarvis Mann and help explain him as a character so read them if you haven’t! Jarvis Mann is on a cold case of a serial killer from over twenty years ago, after being hired by his ex- girlfriend’s father, Jonas, who was on the case as a reporter. After years of silence, the Front Range Butcher is back at it and Jonas and Jarvis will stop at nothing to catch the killer. Jarvis, as per usual, gets himself into some extra trouble along the way so it’s non-stop action from the beginning! I’m a big fan of R. Weir’s other books about Jarvis Mann so it was a real treat to read this one! It has a bit more gore than the previous books, but isn’t distasteful. If you like mystery, suspense, some good butt kicking and even a little romance, then you will like “The Front Range Butcher!” I read it over a few days and found myself thinking about it since I love a good whodunit. I give “The Front Range Butcher” five stars and can’t wait to see what R. Weir has in store for Jarvis Mann!

Do you like to read mystery? Questions like “who dun it?” Do you want twist and turns because what you think will happen doesn’t but then the other possibility doesn’t happen either? Read The Front Range Butcher. You don’t even have to start with the first in this series, but after reading this one you will want to! I have read several other stories in this series and you should read at least the first five in order. This one, however, could be a stand alone. I read this one just hoping the good fortune for Jarvis Mann would continue!

Weir writes another great story with details written so you feel like you are there. Like you could be a witness to all the things happening! This story is not for the weak of heart. Many scenes are descriptive and gory. But so worth it.

Jarvis Mann is the main character who is a private detective. He is hired by people usually after something bad has happened. When someone needs more information, Jarvis is the man to call. Jarvis doesn’t let anything or anyone hold him back, which many times gets him beat up or shot. It also means he gets what he is looking for.

I highly recommend this book and this series!

The Front Range Butcher
A Jarvis Mann Private Detective
Hard Boiled Mystery Novel
Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7
By R. Weir
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a full length Novel. Filled with suspense and just when you think it's safe to relax. Think again! While it is part of a series, it could be a standalone.

Jarvis Mann is a Private Investigator helping to find a dangerous murderer. As his caseload is filling he must focus on finding the killer before he strikes again. While he is working close with the F. B. I. As well as several county police departments. He made not be liked amongst those he is working with. But as a team he depends on them as much as they depend on him. Will this be his last case? Only reading this intense book will answer that question.

WOW! R. Weir as brought his characters to life in this story. The adventure you will experience is out of control, at times. I had such an ride in this mystery. Just as I thought I had figured out where the story was headed, I was wrong. I love a story that keeps me guessing. Well Done! I am looking forward to going back and starting book 1. This book is definitely not for those under 18 due to graphic violence.

The Front Range Butcher by R. Weir was an experience that I was not expecting. I knew what I was getting into, but not entirely. I was expecting the suspense that goes along with these types of books.

What I didn't expect was to sit on the edge of my seat the entire time while reading this book. Oh, my goodness – this author's writing style had me all over the place. The suspense and thrill that I felt while trying to figure out what Private Detective Jarvis Mann will find out, and if it will be on time had me pulling my hair out. This is exactly what I like to experience while I read. I like to feel like I'm in the book, like if I'm running out of time if I don't figure out what's going to happen.

I absolutely loved the storyline. I loved the character development. And did I mention that I loved Mann? No? Well, I didn't realize that this was from a series based on HIM – and guess what I'll be doing? You've got it! I'm going to go back and read all of his cases! This was most definitely a winner for me. Definitely a 5 Star Book.

Yes!! My favourite PI is back!! I absolutely love Jarvis Mann and always get really excited when I see a new release from R Weir! His stories are always so exciting to read and always unpredictable. This is the only series that I love that is not my usual genre but I do love them! I just love how Jarvis can’t help himself but get involved in everything and I think this one might be my favourite so far! It was a gripping read that had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. There was just so much going on that I could not predict it at all. I really couldn’t put it down at all. It’s safe to say that R Weir has definitely outdone himself on this novel!
As always I cannot wait for more – and I really do hope there is more from my guilty pleasure that is Jarvis Mann!! If you are fan of R Weir and his fantastic Jarvis Mann series then you will not be disappointed at all with his latest release!!

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel is by R. Weir. This is the seventh book in the Jarvis Mann series but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone book. Jarvis is a sarcastic but hardworking private detective who has gotten busier and more involved in his cases since the series began. His reputation as solving the mystery has made him highly wanted. This time he is involved in a case with a serial killer that dropped off many years ago. The writing and story are great and kept me on the edge of my seat at times. I like the character of Jarvis, he has a tendency to say what is on his mind and not always making fans of what he says. I had read another book in the series and enjoyed the progression of the character. It is possible to read and enjoy the book without having read the entire series first. I will be checking out more from R. Weir in the future.

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7)

By R. Weir

5 Stars

Ok well this is book 7 of this series, nothing like starting way out of order but I will say this can be read with no problem as a stand alone. I will however be going back and starting from book 1, I love mysteries that need to be solved..and although this mystery was not fun as far as the crimes committed to read about I absolutely loved being alongside private investigator Jarvis Mann while trying to solve this crime.

The writing was amazing and keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole time, through every page was awesome! I highly recommend this book and even without reading it yet, I recommend this series. Maybe a TV drama in the making? I know I would watch it without fail.

Another new author to add to my list, I can't wait to see what comes next!!

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7 by the author R Weir is the first book I have read not only in this series but by this author. When choosing to read this book I hadn't realised this was the seventh book in the series however, this did not stop me thoroughly enjoying this book. So much so that I am planning on reading the series from the start.

A serial killer stalked and murdered the streets of Colorado twenty-two years ago which suddenly stopped leaving no clue to who the culprit was. Now all these years later they have started again with the murders just as brutal as before. Private Detective Jarvis is hired to track down the person who is commuting these awful crimes. Along the way there are many twists and turns.

Brilliantly written and very captivating. You early read to find out what happens next. Look forward to reading the beginning of the series and the rest to come!

The Front Range Butcher is the sixth novel in the Jarvis Mann series by R. Weir. This is my second novel by this author.

After my first introduction to this series and to this author, I was eagerly waiting for another novel in this series.

Jarvis Mann has another case to solve and this one won’t be so easy. A twenty year old case, has resurfaces with the murderer starting up again and so many questions left unanswered.

Because it is a mystery, I don’t wanna give too much away. This was the right amount of plot and mystery with interesting characters to get you hooked. I personally tried not to read this before I went to bed because of the tone and I didn’t wanna dream about the book which I will also say is a plus. If left such an impression while reading, that I did sometimes dream of certain scenes.

It was a roller coaster that left me wanting more. I need to go back and read the others of the series while I anxious wait for the next one.

The Front Range Butcher is Book 7 in the Jarvis Mann detective series, but can certainly be read as a stand alone. I have only read a couple of the other books in the series and let me tell you Weir writes in such a 2qy even though charecters from past booms make an apperance you don't ever miss a beat with the way he describes and re-introduces those charecters.

This book is a heavy tense read but is also very humorous with plenty of sarcastic humor. I actually really like Weir's writing style it makes a dark read an easy one to get through and knows just when to break up the tension with a bit of humor to lighten it up a bit.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series and it has actually made me want to read all 7 books in order and then continue on with the series.

This is a great read for anyone into dark mysteries.

I am giving this book 5 out 5 stars, a must read for sure.

I’ve been waiting to read this book since the first one I read by the author, the first one was everything you’d want from a murder mystery just like this one! You can read this as a stand alone which is nice but there are characters from the other books which gives it a familiar feel which is really nice when reading a book to me personally. I thought the writing was spot on and interesting always keeping me on the edge of my seat to what will happen next. This author have a nice way of writing so u feel like your getting a full story that has different dimensions to it and getting your mystery wrapped throughout. I really enjoyed this book and looked forward to it coming out and was not disappointed.

The Front Range Butcher: A Jarvis Mann Private Detective HardBoiled Mystery Novel (Jarvis Mann Detective Book 7) by R Weir is an exciting dive into the world and characters that the author has created. While I read this book as a standalone I definitely feel like reading the rest would help me to understand the character of Jarvis Mann even more. This book follows Jarvis as he tries to find the person responsible for a a string of murders 20 years ago. With the murders suddenly starting back up Jarvis is called in to be a fresh set of eyes. This book is filled with twists and turns, mystery and drama, and the characters really jump off the page. An excellently written five star novel and I look forward to going back and reading the others.
