Why am I qualified to help you overcome your challenges and reach your full potential? I’ve spent most of my life studying and applying the best lessons I’ve learned from self-help, philosophy, history, religion, politics, finance, business, marketing, entrepreneurship, leadership, health, exercise and studying the most successful people in history. I share what I learned after hitting the wall and failing to graduate college so I could stop sabotaging my success and employ the superior fundamental principles of the science of high achievement that enabled me to get every job and career I went after upon graduation, started a mortgage and real estate company that netted a $60,000 profit in the first month of operation, and grew it from just an idea into 7 companies grossing almost $8 million dollars per year in revenue in only six years with two business partners and 40 employees. Then I liquidated everything before the housing crash of 2007-2008 to become a full time life coach. I went from making $500,000 per year to nothing and struggled tremendously to figure out the right business model for the first 5 years. I was so determined to succeed in my new business that I even resorted to waiting tables 3 days a week for 10 months, while sleeping on my dad’s couch for several years living like a broke college student, until I figured it out and my new business took off. I have grown it into a multi-million dollar business from nothing but an idea that helps change the lives of thousands of men and women from all over the world, and every country, cultural and religious background. I’ve made millions, lost millions and made it all back again many times over by applying the best wisdom I’ve learned from the most successful people in the world, past and present. I share with you my personal journey of how I did it and continue to do it, and what I’ve learned so you can avoid the mistakes I’ve made, and get from where you are to where you want to be in the quickest way possible. There’s a reason why high achievers are able to consistently achieve their dreams over the course of their lives, despite suffering many setbacks and challenges, and my book will teach you how to do the same thing in your own life. If you apply what I teach, you’ll get even better results than you’re currently getting.
More an autobiography. Interesting story and there was some helpful advice but I fail to see how chapters on the Yankees right to bare arms and the problem with Islam is relevant. Not a great follow up to 3% man which was an excellent book.
I knew Corey Wayne already from his Youtube video's a while ago when I was going through a rather rough period in life, and I think he often gives amazing advice on a bunch of topics
I never really finished his other book, mainly because I felt like I knew his work well enough from his videos about relationships, so I felt like I didn't need to finish it (yet atleast).
Then I found out about this book, and with his track record in my mind and the title of this book, I was intrigued.
I am bit torn about it, if I'm being honest. Most of the book, I really like. I do feel however that the title might be a bit misleading, that it is way too long (600 pages) for what it's trying too tell, and that some choices are rather odd.
I wouldn't call this book "Mastering Yourself". If I had to give it an honest title, it would be "The life lessons of Corey Wayne". Why so you ask? Because most of the book is about events and times in the life of Corey Wayne, often followed up with a bit of advice. Personally I don't mind the stories, and I think they were an interesting read, but I get why people could be disappointed when so much about it is more biographical than practical advice.
Because so much stories were told (very detailed may I add), the page count of this book is very high. For some of the stories this is understandable, but a lot could've been shorter and still get the message across.
Finally, in my opinion, there were some "odd choices" and sometimes wrong information during the book. For example, the last ±40 or so pages are the Constitution of the United States of America, because Corey finds them inspirational. Being not American, I felt like that kinda dragged on and wasn't important for me that much.
There also was a short segment about the bartering AI experiment of Facebook and fear mongering of the AI's "developing a more efficient language than humans use". I was interested, looked it up online and found out that the language they talked about were just certain words and phrases repeated from which the AI knew would be "highly scored", but are just English gibberish like "i can i can i can can can want" (full article about this is on towardsdatascience.com). It was a rather easy thing to research, so this did make me skeptical about other points in the book, and how much other points could be misinformed.
Still I felt like I got a lot out of it, Corey's story is very inspirational and his views on certain topics are a breath of fresh air in the extremely polarized hellscape that is the world today. I do like that Corey acknowledges crises in other parts of the world like Europe, gives practical diet advice and that he can find certain patterns and lessons in his life.
Overall; pretty good read, could've just been a bit shorter in my opinion.

Corey Wayne is an amazing relationship coach, I’ve read his other book 3% man and it’s amazing, I expected another kind of content here, but it seems to be more like an autobiography and a resemblance of USA and the political direction that must have rather than a book aligned to his own title. I’d say it’s written for true nationalists of USA but for the people who was born in another countries, we don’t need that much info about that country.
Corey is a real life coach, who teaches stuff that works not only theories. That is why I read his two books multiple times (my goal is to read them 10 times as he strongly recommends).
In this second book he tells us his story, how he was raised, his education, and all of his struggles and success stories after graduation. Along the way he reflects a lot on his journey, and extracts useful lessons which really resonate with me.
The only point I have against this book is the part dedicated to politics and the praise to Donald Trump who is a controversial person (Corey is proud of his view although he knows that many of his followers don't like it, a typical 3% man behavior).
I do recommend this book, because it has many lessons for personal life, work, and to the society as well. Thanks for Coach Corey Wayne, who has a great impact on my view of life despite the cultural difference between us.
Everything starts with Ethos - who you are. Therefore when I look for the books to teachers, or books I look at the writers. To be precise this book has been ghost written by Wayne Bloemhof, good writing takes a lot of rewriting and that makes the material even more better.
Having read the Corey Wayne's first book over 17 times (I lost count, check my Goodreads), I decided to give this second book a shot as well. Self-mastery is inspirational book about whole life experience. I enjoyed especially the entrepreneurial side of his life as I am entrepreneur myself.
Your best thinking got you there where you are now. That's something to think about.
The book contains several insights for those who are familiar with the authors first book or his YouTube content. Some quick points:
1. This book is focused on the ups and downs of ones life. 2. It teaches you how to remain in a relaxed and peaceful state of mind when setting goals or conquering difficult tasks. 3. It emphasises physical, emotional and psychological health for quality of life outcomes.
While a great book, I would not recommend it for those unfamiliar with his previous works.

There are glimpses of helpful guidance in Mastering Yourself, and Corey Wayne clearly wants to inspire people to take control of their lives. Unfortunately, the book frequently veers off into political territory — with extended commentary on gun rights, anti-Islam rhetoric, and culture-war themes that feel out of place in a self-help context. While some readers may resonate with his views, I found the tone divisive and distracting. This could’ve been a much stronger book if it had stayed focused on personal growth rather than turning into a political soapbox.
This book is amazing but painfully long. Corey's life doesn't leave a thread of doubt on the definition of "inspiring" - as he recollects his personal and professional experiences, the reader can be exposed to the many setbacks a person can have in their common life, not what we see on the spotlight of the average influencer. Highly recommended book to read if you feel like, somewhat, you're "lost" in your life
Too much info about his personal life, and also about USA matters that non-USA residents can’t really relate too. I loved the previous book (which I must have read like 10-15 times) but this one I really can’t recommend to anyone not already liking Corey’s work. Too long as well, could have easily been like half the pages.
Care about what people think and you will always be their prisoner. This book highlights the down-low of the author during his early years and how he turns all the misfortune into a successful life. The highlights of advice would be probably-adopt a superstar mindset. Very good autobiography/self-help book. Way too many pages though.
The book is basically Corey telling you his life story for almost 700 pages. The meaty part is short and rare. I don't know why Corey thinks that's interesting to anyone who's not his therapist. Disappointed.
Author`s own stories about his life experiences was pretty good & captivating read. But this philosophical part about everything else like gun rights, EU or islamism were just plain weak.
