Collected for the first time! 36 geek arguments from across seven years of Geek Speak Magazine.
With a Foreword penned by best-selling author Seanan McGuire, Geek Versus Geek is like having season tickets to the nerdiest debate club of all time. (And that is very much saying something.)
Rachel Hyland is, she is pretty sure, the one true queen of Fantastica, raised in obscurity to protect her from the dark lord Sinisterium. If you see her magic sword, get in touch. The fate of the many worlds just may depend upon it. She lives in Melbourne, Australia with too many Pop! Vinyls and not nearly enough Little Golden Books.
From the Foreword Sean McGuire promises readers ‘more fun’ as contributors to Geek versus Geek, most ably edited and contributed to by Rachel Hyland, have strapped on their ‘verbal boxing gloves’ to argue the merits - or not - of all things Geek. Be it DC vs Marvel, the superhero status of Superman, Star Trek vs Star Wars, the Twilight movies, the need for Copyright, Alien vs Predator and even whether Celebrities are entitled to privacy. The writing is well-informed, well-argued (ever so politely) and is very entertaining. Even if you do have a strong point of view on whether or not there is any value in watching an old favourite TV series again, both writers will, to some extent, persuade of the merits of their case. It really is fun!
