Len Webster certainly has a way with words! I discovered her books with the first one of this series, The Theory of Unrequited. We were introduced to AJ and Evan and their roller coaster relationship. Throughout the series we read as AJ and Evan learned to navigate their lives and how to deal with relationships, new and old. And it all culminates in The Dissolution of Unrequited. I love how this book is written. You know what happens but you don’t know how it happened. As the book progresses you go back and forth from the present to the past until it brings you to where you started. It’s so different from other books and so refreshing! I also love how passionate AJ is about science. And how much she values education and her dreams. She is such a strong female lead and doesn’t need a guy in her life but it doesn’t hurt! Now the question is...will it be Evan or Landon or neither? Well you’ll have to read to find out!

I was worried when I started reading this book. Would I get the ending I wanted? Or would the author rip my heart out? Well I got both.

AJ & Evan & Landon are some of my favourite characters ever. I have loved them and ranted at them for 4 books now. Well in this one I gotta say things got even more ranty.

It's a book about 3 young people making decisions - good decisions, bad decisions, selfish decisions and selfless decisions. Each guy is right for AJ but only one is perfect. All the happy angsty sighs for this one. Definitely recommend.

I received an arc of this book.

"I can't wait for every single day with you, AJ."

I couldn’t have wished for a more wonderful conclusion to the “The Science of Unrequited” series. With The Dissolution of Unrequited we finally found what we were looking for: An unforgettable love story that will touch your heart and soul like no other. AJ and Evan show us that: Love is worth fighting for; Love is worth waiting for; Loving your soulmate and your soulmate loving you back is priceless.

"Him, her heart whispered. Him, her head agreed. Only him, her soul testified."

AJ’s and Evan’s story in this book is less angsty as in the other books, however it’s no less exciting. I love the way the characters developed over the years and through the books. Specially Evan made a tremendous jump from the first book to the last. From the boy next door who couldn’t act on his feelings to one of the most thoughtful and caring book boyfriends I ever had the honour to meet.

From the first book on I got quite attached to AJ and Evan and I couldn’t get enough of those two. Even now, after 4 books and a beautiful closure of their story, I still want more.

In this last book of the series, you realise that the story itself grew with its characters. The story is more grounded, mature and every missing puzzle piece is fitting nicely and perfectly.

"She had loved him all her life - even when she wasn't supposed to."

The Dissolution of Unrequited is the last book in a delightful, slow burn, friends to lovers romance series, that will attach itself to your heart like ivy vines. With each book, the story gets more intense and is the fertiliser for the ivy, growing the attachment. This last book is so full of love, it’s the final impulse the ivy needs to let its flower blossom.

"And her kisses, they were love letters from her heart, and he treasured them entirely."

I don't think I've fallen in love with two young characters as much as I did with AJ and Evan there was something about those two that touched my heart.

So we're on book four at the end of what has been an epic journey. There were times I despaired, times I shouted at my kindle. At times I felt the author was a sadist what she put her readers through at times was nothing short of criminal. Over the four books we've had laughter and tears, love and heartbreak and angst by the bucket load.

I'm not sure there could have been a more perfect ending to this series. Ever word was just what I wanted. It doesn't matter who you were routing for ( personally mine was always AJ ) you will be satisfied with this book. My heart is full and happy but I'm sad it's over however I know these will be books I will read again often.

I've been trying to write this review for a few days now and I just can't find the words to describe how great this book is. I honestly don't know how any words can do this book justice.

The Dissolution of Unrequited is beautiful, yet so heartbreaking. If you’ve read the previous books in this series you already know all the difficulties and heartbreak AJ and Evan had to go through, and in this book everything gets turned upside-down again. The story of AJ and Evan is truly a roller-coaster of emotions.

As AJ’s story continues it gets even more emotional. Of course I’ve had hopes who she’d end up with but you’ll never know with Len Webster… and without giving too much away, I can only say you’ll love this book! And that ending!!! Eeekkk! It’s just the best! It’s a passionate and heartfelt story and incredibly well written.

“She loved this man so much. She was sure she’d love him forever.”

Honestly, I’ve never expected the storyline of the Dissolution of Unrequited to be like this, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the events and emotional roller-coaster Len Webster made me go through. The events happening in this book are just heartbreaking. AJ, Evan and just everything happening in this book made my heart melt.
Len Webster just has her way with words. The world she created in the Series of Unrequited is unique and beautiful. I’ve never been more in love with a series. It’s truly a masterpiece!

The Dissolution of Unrequited is the final installment in Len Webster's highly anticipated The Science of Unrequited series and I am D.E.A.D. on arrival. I have managed to devour this entire series in less than a week and my heart has been obliterated into a non-existent form because it has been torn right out of my body. The pain in my chest and the whirlwind emotions that I experienced while reading these books made me scream out in frustration and I wasn't sure my heart was going to be able to handle the end of AJ and Evan and Landon's journey.

When I first began this series I thought that I knew what I wanted for theses characters, but my heart was tested and I think that the author made the right decision in the end. It was without a doubt the perfect ending for these characters and I hope you all agree wholeheartedly with me when you dive head first into this unrequited love story full of twists and turns.

Len Webster is one of the most talented storytellers that I have been fortunate enough to discover and I am still kicking myself for not picking up her books sooner. The Science of Unrequited series was brilliantly original and will forever go down as one of my favorite series! They are seriously amazing and I am begging you all to consider reading all of these incredible stories. You will not be disappointed by all the angst you will experience...TRUST ME!

Dear Len Webster,

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I don't know if I should hug you or shake you. You have given me this magnificent gift...The Science of Unrequited series is truly that- a gift. A love so pure and innocent. A lifetime of friendship. A lifetime of sadness and and unrequited. But most importantly, you gave me hope. Hope that things can change. Hope that love will triumph. Not everyone gets their happily ever after and sometimes the journey is more important than the end result. I love that you gave us all of that in this series. But I also love that you gave us the AJ and Evan experience.

With kindest regards and our friendship restored!

Thank you,
Becky

For everyone else (that has made through to this part of my review), you need AJ and Evan in your life. You need EPIC. You need the love, the pain, and the journey. If you haven't already started this amazing series, start now. Dont even bother to finished reading this. You won't forget or regret it. The Theory of Unrequited will pull you in and keep you invested. You will desperately cling to dreams, wishes, and hope straight through to this beautiful conclusion The Dissolution of Unrequited.

Now if you are like me, the author has plagued you with doubts. Your heartstrings are taut like a bundle of ropes being pulled by a runaway horse. You were on edge the whole series and don't know what to do. I was actually scared to read this (as I have been every book since the first). I wasn't sure I would get my HEA. [Don't forget this is all about me!] Once I stopped stalling, I devoured it in a day. I messaged the author hate mail, sloppy lovey messages, and paranoid rants. You too will experience all these highs and lows. Just know, every single one is worth it. And remember eight...

With lots of love, I hope you enjoy The Dissolution of Unrequited.

I wish I could give this entire series more than five stars. The way that Len Webster writes is so gripping, making it so hard to put down at the wee hours of the night and to top it off the story then runs through my head when I'm trying to sleep. Yes, the angsty story of AJ and Evan has haunted me for months and I've loved, loved, loved every word of it!
The Dissolution of Unrequited had me captivated the entire way through. Over and over my emotions flipped from joy, to tears, to heart pounding love, and utter complete heartbreak. The entire Unrequited series is an emotional ride, it's like nothing I've read before. "Eight" will now send my heart pitter-pattering forevermore.
Thank you Len Webster for AJ and Evan. The ride was emotional, but so worth it.

Ok, here is just a brief summary of how we got to this angsty 4th book...

In the first book, The Theory of Unrequited-
Every theory has a test subject … even between best friends.
The pact: Stanford.
The betrayal: AJ attending Duke.
The reason: She did something stupid like fall in love with Evan.
The problem: Evan’s not ready to let this betrayal go so easily.
The solution: Find AJ and fix them.
Summary: AJ had been in love with Evan for a really long time, but her love was unrequited. They planned to go to college together, but without Evan knowing she went to a completely different school and in doing so actually broke Evan's heart.

Book 2, The Solution of Unrequired-
Every solution has a poisonous flaw … even between best friends.
The agreement: Fall break together.
The struggle: A road trip from North Carolina to Massachusetts.
The reason: To find a way back into each other’s lives.
The issue: AJ’s not ready to let Evan reclaim the parts of her he made his.
The hindrance: Connecticut
Summary: Evan begs for a chance to win back AJ's friendship and potential love. This is a tipping point because AJ has been opening up to a potential new love interest at college and for the first time ever she is discovering who she is. Could this be the chance for Evan or the opportunity for AJ to be who she needs to be?

Book 3, The Results of Unrequited-
Every result can be manipulated … even between best friends.
The promise: To wait for each other after their road trip.
The where: Brookline, Massachusetts.
The when: Thanksgiving.
The bump: Evan Gilmore was a no-show.
The reason: He met the one who would change it all.
The consequence: There is no AJ and Evan … not anymore.
Summary: After their roadtrip AJ thought she was on the road to something special with Evan, but he never called. He ghosted something hard. This was the final straw for her and Evan, AJ finally had the answer she needed and the chance to move on. Months later when her life is finally on track, how can one moment with Evan still have the impact to shift her whole life?

So here we are at Book 4-The Dissolution of Unrequited-
Every concept has a state of dissolution ... even between best friends.
The theory: To find herself and pursue her dreams of completing her Ph.D.
The solution: Walk away from the love that hurt her the most, and put herself first.
The results: A life changing choice between her heart and her future.
The dissolution: ... of unrequited as AJ and Evan know it.
Summary: The deeper relationship that has been circling between best friends for years is once again on rocky ground. Between other people coming between them, distance, and careers Evan and AJ have had  hurdles to overcome, but nothing should stand in the way when it comes to the ultimate choice. Which dream do you follow?

This series is full of angst, love, dreams, and tough life decisions that young adults have to make. A lot of those choices result in unrequited feelings. What choices would you make?

This is the fourth book in the series and they need to be read in order.
Alexandra Parker is trying to figure out where her life is headed and decide if she will finally follow her own dreams or if she will give them up for the love of a man. She is torn between Landon Carmichael and Evan Gilmore and she must decide which one truly loves her for her and will support her through everything.
Evan Gilmore has been in love with Alex for as long as he can remember but he has made some big mistakes which pushed her into the arms of Landon. Now how far is he willing to go to make it up to her and is he willing to walk away if that is what she asks?
With love there is never a guarantee of a happy ending so will Alex finally follow her own path?
This was such a great series and I am glad that we have finally come to the end of this journey and it was well worth it!
One thing I love about these books is how the story goes from the past to the present consistently and fills you in on everything that led to certain decisions. It is done in a way that doesn’t leave you confused at all and satisfies you that Alex made a good or bad decision.
I was crossing my fingers that Alex would finally follow her own dreams in this book as she had put them on hold for so long but as things happen you see certain things and you wonder what the heck happened and how things got to where they did. It is such an incredible ride and you have clues but certain things leave you hanging!!
I was really hoping that Evan got his life on track and figured things out as I was super mad at Landon after things he did and then at the beginning of this book I got mad at Landon again! Evan seemed to really grow up in this book and I loved that! He wanted Alex to be happy and if it wasn’t going to be with him then he was going to walk away no matter how hard it was for him.
I really liked how certain events centered around Fenway Park and it brought everything back to the beginning!
The book played out like I wanted it to but it was still a ride like no other!! I really look forward to reading more from this author and have thoroughly enjoyed this series! - By Rebecca

FINALLY!
This series has dominated my reading life for a while now.  I was so excited when this finally hit my kindle.  The back and forth of AJ and Evan has the angst needing reader in me on ALERT!

It's been almost a year since I read The Theory of Unrequited and I have enjoyed the ride, immensely. Len Webster is a beautiful writer, she has the ability to keep the feels front and center throughout the entire book and series.  The past and present, the back and the forth of these two and their lives were all-encompassing while reading.  It's been years for these two, one at Duke and one at Stanford.  AJ needing to follow her dreams is the ongoing path for her, she has hit a few roadblocks but there is always Evan to help her navigate her way. These two may have you screaming and throwing your kindle at times, at times I wanted to scream at the two of them, making assumptions as to what the other would want/need.  Often assuming the opposite of what is best.  But that's what makes an angsty read is all about.

Jump onto this series, become a part of the eight protons and eight neutrons that make up the beauty of this series!

I can't even express my total and unrequited love for this book -- I mean this series. The struggles, pain, disappointments and the happiness we witnessed throughout the journey of Alex, Evan and Landon.

I'm not going to lie, I was a little torn because I didn't know who was a better fit for Alex, was it Evan or was it Landon, but when we got to The Dissolution of Unrequited I made up my mind who and why.

Ms. Webster did such an amazing job with this story. We got all the facts and all the past and present of the story that it just had me almost in tears at the end because I just didn't want it to end. But I have to say that I was super happy with this last book because we got to learn so much more of the characters as they matured and what they endured throughout their journey.

I tip my hat to Ms. Webster for giving us this magnificent and compelling story that will stay with me for a long time.

5 Dissolution Stars!!

A perfect culmination to this series. Throughout the previous three books I was upset, happy, disappointed, confused, and hopeful. Both Landon and Evan (who was my pick from the beginning) are good for AJ, but only one will make her happy and is the perfect person for her. Over the course of the books, all characters made selfish decisions; as well as, bad decisions. There were times that I wanted to strangle all characters, and scratched my head as to why each did certain things. This book was no different. Who AJ chooses, why and how her life plays out is well written in the fourth and final installment of this series. Be prepared to see each character have to make tough decisions. I also liked how AJ didn't back down from her dreams and how she never faltered from loving science. A great series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

I had a good idea to read this book at the hospital recovering from an operation.

WRONG!!! Very wrong!

I busted into tears so many times that a lost count thank god for an unlimited supply of tissues and nurses to check my stitches.

Evan & Aj’s story is so unique and incredible, and I’m very fortunate to be chosen to read this fantastic series first hand, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Good books are like best friends, we need them very close to our hearts, and this series will be forever close to mine.

Can’t stop thinking about them since the first book came out, all the angst and heartbreak, from friendship to love, to be from inseparable to live in different states and furthermore countries, life itself is full of lessons, and Evan & Aj’s story grew with us in our hearts, and the end couldn’t be more perfect.

Ms Len Webster has the touch of an angel to write such inspiring books that break you in a million pieces and glue back together with fresh ready for more.

Usually when a really love a book/series a give all the stars but you dear darling can take all my heart.

AMAZING!

This is THAT book. You know the one. It is the book you dread from book one. It is the book you put off until the very last minute because you just know it is going to tear at your heart and you are not sure exactly where the author is going with this couple but you HOPE it will not be a devastating end to such a messed up relationship that you are pulling for from page 1.

I have been so caught up in AJ and Evan and I hate their story is complete but I am happy with the way Len Webster concluded it.

A solid friendship takes a turbulent detour on the fast truck to love. Will they make it to forever with their hearts intact or will their friendship forever be destroyed? Getting to know AJ and Evan has truly been a rollercoaster ride. From broken friendships, battered hearts, bruised egos and second chances, Webster has put my poor heart through the wringer. Whether you love the drama, despise the heartache or just yearn for something more, you' re sure to get it all with the angst filled bundle of heartbreak, The Science of Unrequited series provides.

I didn't think it was possible for Evan and AJ's story to get even angstier, but the Dissolution of Unrequited proved I was wrooooong. This book should come with a seatbelt for your heart! The last installment in this series tackled heavy life issues with effortless writing that sucked me into the story and didn't let go. The only bad part was having to say goodbye to great friends when I reached the last page.

What can I say? I think this book was maybe a tad unnecessary in the series. In my opinion the author could have resolved things way before if that was the road she decided to take.

The heroine frustrated me to no end and, in my opinion, the way the story ended didn't really make sense considering the direction it was taking before. I think it was confusing in the sense that the plot took so many different directions and it felt like the author was undecided and then suddently decided to take an specific road and wrote everything revolving that without taking the past into consideration.

Unfortunately after reading this final book I was left feeling unhappy and like I invested a lot of time in the series for nothing.

The Dissolution of Unrequited is everything I could have wanted for a finale and so much more. Once again, Len Webster took me on quite the circuitous route to some semblance of happy with more than a few detours and I'm thrilled to say I wouldn't change a thing! And if I had to guess, I'd say AJ Parker and Evan Gilmore would agree.

The last in the Science of Unrequited series, I honestly did not know how this wonderful ride would all turn out. Sure I had my hopes for AJ and Evan to finally find their way to each other but knowing Webster, I was sure I had to earn that HEA right along with them. The hard way.

Again told in both past and present and alternating POVs, I loved that AJ stayed true to herself. Finally!!! This girl had been put through the wringer by not only Evan but by Landon Carmichael as well. She is such a selfless young woman and didn't deserve to ever be someone's afterthought or expected sure thing. I was beyond happy she put herself first for a change, even when her heart told her differently. The battles she wages with her heart, soul and brilliant mind kept me glued to this story. Being so torn about her future and who should be first in her life, Webster wrote the absolute perfect way for her to decide. Incredibly masterful writing even when she was sneaky and would pull the rug out from under everyone's lives (including my own lol) throughout most of the book!

And then there is Evan. OMGoodness how I love this man. I loved how he became this incredibly supportive and noble person who would move heaven and earth for his AJ. I felt his hurt and his longing for his girl but was right there by his side as he continued to do the right thing even if it meant more separation and more sacrifice. He is a keeper if there ever was one.

This glorious coming of age story that began when AJ and Evan were just kids has blossomed into a true life quest for the love that is irreplaceable in both their hearts. There was plenty of push and pull, plenty of indecision and plenty of hesitation to be hurt all over again. But Webster beautifully crafts a journey that pulled at my heartstrings and had me experiencing a myriad of emotions that doesn't come along often.

I encourage everyone to start at the beginning with book 1 (you pretty much have to since I wouldn't categorize these as standalones) and live this exceptional story from start to finish. I sincerely hope we hear more from these characters in the future, perhaps with more to come particularly with respect to certain friends who might have a secret to share.

Well worth your time, I give The Dissolution of Unrequited a huge 5 stars!! I LOVED IT!

The Dissolution of Unrequited was so worth the wait!!

When a series can give you goosebumps, seriously, you know it was totally worth it despite the tissues it took to get there. Len Webster captured my heart with the first book in the series, The Theory of Unrequited, and wouldn't let go. And as I read each of the stories, devouring the ups and downs of AJ and Evan, I knew there was going to come a time when we'd have to say goodbye, that the series would end. That doesn't mean that those two will be forgotten though.

The Dissolution was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. Webster's writing was pure and full of heart and soul. To see where it all started with AJ and Evan, to where they ended up, their growth and maturity, makes this one of my all-time favorite series. Sometimes it takes a while to get to the happily ever after, but I promise you, it's all worth it in the end.

What a wonderful way to end this series! My heart is full and my wishes for this ending have come true. I couldn't be happier. I give it 4 stars though because there were so many, many times I wanted to shake Alex, especially when she kept talking to Landon and giving him hope. I wasn't cool with that, I just wasn't cool with him period. I love the ending and the two epilogues. I also like how the author left a few things open to make you wonder if there are a few characters who will possibly be getting their own stories. Thank you for letting me follow this couple through their hardships and their joys. This was a wonderful ride to take and I'm glad I was along for it! FYI I love Evan!! *I voluntarily read this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

I have loved the series The Science of Unrequited from the very beginning. You have young love and the angst that goes with it. You must read this one in order to get the full experience of AJ, Evan, Kyle and Landon. So if you are familiar with them then continue on. I will not tell you how it ends with the little triangle that has been going on throughout this series. I'm going to say what ever team your on you may or may not like the out come. But you are going to love AJ even more by the end of this. You will need some tissues too. The Dissolution of Unrequited is such a beautiful read. It is the perfect ending to the series. It is the perfect beginning for love between two fabulous characters. This is a one click need to read book and series.

Loved it and hated it all at once

So, I was really invested in these characters. I liked them a lot. I knew at the end of book three, this is how it would end minus a few spoilers here and there, I was dead on. But here’s the thing, this series is my first by Len and I doubt I’ll read more. Her writing style just doesn’t do it for me. I find it overly wordy. Predictable. And while I pretty much knew the HEA from the get go- who AJ would end up with- I just had to read the words. Often, I didn’t want to read the words. I just wanted it over and I know that sounds harsh. It’s not meant to. It’s written weirdly in third person- but sometimes feels like it’s slipping into first person. It’s confusing at times.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

When I had the opportunity to review this book, I jumped at it. I wanted the chance to read all four books at once and boy, am I glad I did. Reading this series I felt so many emotions. I'm not sure I could have read this one book at a time.

Len Webster has a way with words and those words will suck you in and not let go. This rollercoaster of emotion series was everything I was hoping for. I needed this series. AJ and Evan were everything I wanted and was rooting for. I loved getting to know these two and I loved watching their journey.

Please check out this amazing series. You will not be disappointed.

It's over. Finito. Done. And I'm not sure whether to cry or laugh though I did both while devouring this in one day. Len knows how to pull on your heartstrings, snap them, shred them up, then put the broken and frayed pieces all back together again. While this conclusion had less angst than the prior books it was just as emotional, if not more. This book was so full of love. The characters have grown so maturely that I feel like a proud parent in a way. This book brings the series to a beautiful close, yet I still want more. I think I always will. And that's all I'm going to say for now because I don't want to give any hints or spoilers away. Just do yourself a favor and read this ASAP.

The story of AJ’s and Evan’s love and relationship concludes in the final installment of this series. AJ must not only decide if she plans to pursue her dreams of completing her Ph.D. but she must also decide which man, Landan or Evan is her soulmate or maybe it will be neither?

Through the course of the series and this book mistakes were made, hearts were broken and the way the characters have developed through the ups and downs of life is inspiring.

This is an emotional rollercoaster filled with angst and drama that draws you and keeps you captivated until the last page.

There were some great surprises and this ended exactly how it should have - Alex’ dreams coming true. However, Evan still disappointed me several times, especially when he became irrational or closed off and didn’t communicate. But then he also impressed me at other times and did show growth. I’m happy with the ending, but the journey to get there in this book seemed excessive at times with how off track Alex and Evan were and Evan trying to play the martyr in trying to prove himself. I’ll always think that he doesn’t deserve her, but her heart wants who it’s always wanted.

I couldn’t have imagined a better ending for a spectacular series!
This book was just as emotional as the first three books! I wasn’t sure at first that this book was going to end the way I wanted, but as I kept going I thought it would. As you read this story it pulls your heartstrings! One minute you’re happy and the next minute you’re not!
AJ and Evan have gone through so much trying to get their hea!
Len Webster has taken us on a roller coaster ride I’m glad I went on!
The Science of Unrequited was such a fantastic series that I can’t wait to see what Len gives us next!
