Young children will enjoy accompanying Winnie the Pooh & Friends as they discover the amazing world of animals, learning where animals come from, how they grow, and how they live. This world of knowledge is communicated through stunning photography, charming illustrations, and simple, factual text.
Yay, this is more like it… you know tambo I’m watching a show in national geographic about man eater lions!!! They ate over 600 people in the last 10 years in Tanzania!!! This is hot!!!
I absolutely love this book!!! My grandparents bought me a copy of this encyclopedia from Sam's Club when I was a child and I still have it. Whenever I want to feel nostalgic I flip through the pages. There are pictures of animals and descriptions of them. The book even includes fun facts about most of the animals. I can definitely see myself going over a age every day in my future classroom. This would allow me to introduce my students to many different animals that they may have never even heard of. If i were to teach older students such as fourth or fifth grade I could go over each section of the book as they learn about them. Foe example, review all of the pages about reptiles as we learn our lesson on reptiles. This would even be a good book to read to curious toddlers!
This is a perfectly wonderful book. We have been reading it over an extended period of time, working our way through it, a few animals a night. Great pictures, easy to follow through timelines and wonderfully clear and basic scientific facts for toddlers/preschoolers/early readers. Great introduction to science and nature.
This is a good little animal facts book for kids. it breaks down easily into bed-time sized reads, with lots of pictures. I'm not totally sure why Pooh was necessary, as my kids were only interested in the animals, but a litle Pooh never hurt anything.
