This book was worth the read. I gave it 3 stars since the author, Dr. Dennis G. Lindsay seemed to be all over the place at various points throughout. And to be honest, I gave it the lower rating because of the far-fetched theories he presents in the latter part of the book. Dr. Lindsay thoroughly unpacks the historical and scriptural evidence for the theory that Giants were once upon the earth. We first read about these mysterious beings in Genesis 6.

"When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, 'My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.' The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown." (Genesis 6:1-4, NIV)

There are three main theories as to who the “Sons of God” are a reference to:

Fallen Angels

The Line of Seth

Rulers or Kings

I hold that it was fallen angels that somehow procreated with female human beings and created this half-breed which are Giants.

Throughout the Old Testament, there are many references to Giants; the Israelites didn’t enter the Promised land known as Canaan because of the bad report from the Israelite spies doing recon and were scared stiff by the giants. So much so that they use the phrase, “we were grasshoppers in their sight”. Is this Hyperbole or did the land really contain Giants? We know that David slew the Giant Goliath, so references to these beings are fairly present in the Old Testament.

There appears to be 7 main tribes mentioned in the Old Testament that were of the Giants:

Nephilim
Repha’im
Anakim
Zamzummin
Emim
Gibborim
Avim

There is an apocryphal writing known as the Book of Enoch which is only really formally accepted by the Ethiopian Orthodox church. However, there appear to be at least a couple of references to the book of Enoch in the New Testament, one by Christ about “My house has many mansions” and in Jude 1:14-15. But it’s worth noting that Paul for example may reference extra-biblical works, but that doesn’t mean he considered them to be factual, he may be referencing them to make a point.

The book of Enoch has five main sections:

The Book of the Watchers
The Similitudes of Enoch
The Astronomical Book
The Book of Dream Visions
The Epistle of Enoch

And it appears that some of the writers of the New Testament had been influenced or at the very least were familiar with the portion of the book of Enoch called, The Book of the Watchers. The entire work was most likely written between the 3rd century BCE and the 1st century BCE. It’s unclear when each section was specifically written. But the book goes onto explain the Angels that were tasked with watching over the earth/mankind were known as the Watchers. And that they had corrupted themselves by lusting after human women and procreating with them. They supposedly made a pact on Mount Hermon with each other to carry out this wicked plan. As a result, Enoch sends them word from God that judgment is upon them and that there will be no forgiveness for their actions.

These fallen angels taught mankind secret knowledge, for example:

Azazel: Taught men to make weapons and armor.
Semjaza: Taught enchantments and root-cutting.
Barakijal: Taught astrology.
Kokabiel: Taught constellations.
Ezeqeel: Taught cloud reading.
Araqiel: Taught earth signs.
Shamsiel: Taught the sun's path.

Whether or not the book of Enoch is true, the other Biblical references from the Old Testament, along with a fairly common belief in giants from cultures from around the world, seem to testify to their existence. Most ancient cultures believed in 1. A global flood (AKA in Hebrew and Christian circles known as Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood), and 2. Divine beings coming down to earth, intermingling with human beings which results in superhumans or a giant race. This is more than just coincidental in my opinion.

The many megalithic and monolithic structures which weigh enormous tons and cut with such precision that we can’t seem to imitate today, seems a rather ridiculous notion that for that time and age they could figure out, but we have trouble with our current technology? It seems fairly reasonable to me that they had outside help, groups of giants to move the large stones, along with fallen angels for the secret and advanced technology skill. I won’t go into detail about these structures, a person interested can either read this book or do some research, just know they are numerous and global.

Now the purpose of this, according to Dr. Lindsay, which I find plausible, is that the Serpent of Old, Satan is quite aware of the prophecy by God in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Knowing that the Son of Man (the seed of the Woman) will come, Satan has the intention of muddying the genetic line of the promised Messiah to prevent this prophecy from coming to fruition.

He does this by having the fallen angels intermingle with humans. It appears that the fallen angels bore children with the Canaanites, the Canaanites were cursed by God. Canaan was Ham’s son who God cursed for him having seen his father Noah’s nakedness”. It is suspected by scholars that this meant that Ham slept with Noah’s wife, his own grandmother. The Canaanites were extremely wicked and worshipped pagan gods such as Molek, Astarte, Asherah and Anath. They practiced child sacrifice to appease their false gods. Abraham knew that the Canaanites were cursed and wicked, which is why he explicitly tells his servant to not obtain a wife for Isaac from among the Canaanites. And it does seem highly likely that Satan wanted to prevent the Israelites from obtaining the promised land to either delay or prevent the prophecy by God in Genesis 3:15 from coming true because he had already planted the Canaanites and the giants in the land known as Canaan.

Now briefly on to the Pre-millinialist views presented in the book, the author believes that when Jesus makes the statement in Matthew 24:37, “For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” he argues that this is yet to come and the Nephilim giants will reappear on earth. I think from the context Jesus is speaking of, He may simply mean that the great wickedness and chaos will be the same or similar, not that that necessitates the reappearance of the giants. Also, Jesus is referencing the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem(70 AD) and of the coming tribulation, He even speaks of how to avoid the tribulation by fleeing to the mountains and hills of Judea, if the tribulation is over 2k years into the future and will be worldwide, then this comment wouldn’t make any sense. And for anyone interested in the post-millinialist view, I highly recommend Dr. Kenneth Gentry’s work.

This is a very unusual book; the main theme being somewhat neglected and ridiculed by the publishing world...

Nevertheless, I dare to say that this is a rewarding read to all of you with an open mind and still hungry for the real meanings behind the tabloid catch phrases and excorticating interpretations of the daily news...

I myself have enjoyed very much the facts, information and biblical quotes given by the author on a very delicate topic like this one is.

Do giants still exist?
What exactly are this Nephilim?

Will the second coming of the Messiah actually happen, or is it only a fantasy lived and dreamt by radicals?

Also, these new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, nano technology, robotic, and much more will they lead humanity to a man-made paradise or rather to their destruction?

If you watch YouTube and do internet research, then you will discover much of the stuff written by the author in this book, but you have to tie together all the loose ends if you want to come to the right conclusions...indeed for this you need to read it!!!

Full recommendation to all my loved and estimable friends with an open mind and which kept in their hearts the curiosity and newness of mind needed for real and lasting change!!

“Even though Satan has mounted a mighty war against God and his purposes for His beloved human race, in the end, God’s justice will reign, and He will bring Satan and his evil angels (demons) to their day of judgement.” P.108-109

If you have questions- I recommend you read these pages and weigh its answers.
Additionally, if you think you don’t have questions, my guess is that you actually have more than you realize (I sure did)- and I recommend you take a moment and read these pages, weighing them carefully.

I read this book as part of the study I was doing on Genesis 6 and other passages. The book is full of great information and biblical resources. It has fascinating information about the Nephilim in Genesis 6 and how they will be involved in human history and the end times.

I enjoyed the first section on giants because it related the groundwork for understanding that biblical giants are not myths. The biblical accounts are not sensation in their telling of giants. They present the facts as they are. It was also amazing to read the size of these giants. You further read about these giants that they existed in North America and the world, not just biblical areas and times.

He also discusses ancient mythologies that seem to have their origin and understanding in the biblical record. He talks about megalithic monuments that are so large and well engineered that thinking that the giants made them makes more sense than the mysteries of aliens and other explanations scientists can produce.

The author gives evidence of the stone structures throughout the world. He concludes that it is very possible the Bible provides the answer to how these things were made in a better way than modern science can. He presents evidence that the Giants made these megalithic monuments with the knowledge of fallen angels.

The second section of the book deals with angels. Lindsay describes angels that appear in the Bible and how the Bible describes them. He talks about their duties and their appearance. He begins to address Genesis 6:1-4 and talk about the sons of God along with two views about who they are. He also looks at the extra biblical evidence that surrounds the Genesis 6:1-4 account.

Lindsay goes on to present lengthy and logical evidence that he sons of God are angels. He answers the question of why God had to flood the entire earth to restore His creatures from corruption. He explores how the language of the Old Testament points to not only the righteousness of Noah but also his genetic purity.

The author introduces an interesting argument and framework for understanding how the Nephilim could exist again after the flood. I’m still mulling this over in my mind. It is not something I considered before but makes a lot of sense. It gets better as he discusses Nimrod, the builder of Babel.

The author discusses the contamination not only of humanity but of the animals by the fallen angels. This explains what Jude speaks of when he quotes from the book of Enoch and why God would have to destroy all life on earth with a flood. He further makes connections to why the Israelites must destroy everything and all people in Canaan when they conquered an area. It also explains some of God’s prohibitions about bestiality.

The material he suggests makes sense to most of God’s prohibitions about the Canaanites and the people of the land and how the Israelites should not interact with one another or with them. He gives an analogy of the gospel that I found compelling and will probably use some time in my witnessing.

He further describes a place that was linked in mythology to Hades in Caesarea-Philippi. He also describes biblical authority for believers and how it intersects with demons that may be connected to the Nephilim. The author ventures into theories of authority and other matters connected with it that are less biblically defined. I do not agree with everything he says in these few chapters.

Lindsay continues by talking about the importance of blood and the blood of Jesus. He talks about it as a “spiritual transfusion.” He discusses the sign of the covenant through circumcision and gives the understanding of why Abraham and the Jewish people use it as a sign of the covenant. He also explains the two genealogies of Jesus, one from Mary and one from Joseph.

The third section of the book is about the Nephilim. Lindsay begins this section by talking about the increasing technological abilities of humans and what they may lead to. He also traces the origin of many things we use today such as Nike and Amazon. He continues to describe how technology could easily relate to biblical prophecy found in Daniel.

The advent of genetics and cloning could fulfill biblical prophecy. Lindsay outlines some of the advancements of genetics and cloning and describes some of the ways they may fulfill prophecy about the antichrist. He envisions what future scientific advancements foretell about the fulfillment of prophecy.

He says human-animal hybrids are on the way because of the advances being made in medical science to help humans with all kinds of disabilities and illnesses. He discusses the modern belief of aliens being able to come to the earth for various purposes. How does this relate to the end times and the Nephilim? Aliens will be deceptions just like fallen angels coming out of the sky to deceive people long ago.

He finishes the book by summarizing what he has pointed out and showing how it could be fulfilled in prophecy in the end times. He gives a postscript that reminds us of the Jewish people and God’s love of them. They will play a decisive role in the end times.

This book has several illuminating facts that help you understand parts of the Bible. I enjoyed reading this book and found most of its insights illuminating. There were parts of it I did not agree with, but for the most part, it is a great book to read to understand Genesis 6 and the Nephilim and how they impact the end times. I highly recommend giving this book a read.

While I’ve read a couple other books on this subject as well as studied the Holy Bible, this book has historically proven information and biblically sound facts that bring current items in science in line with possible realities to be. This book also shows HOW MUCH God Almighty loves His Creation since He did so much more than most Christians realize! I cried more than once and rededicated the gifts He gave to me to serve better in this time like never before. A MUST READ FOR EVERY PERSON! ✝️🕊

I enjoyed this book. I would probably give it 4 and a half stars, if possible. The author does a great job explaining how giants developed and why scripture teaches us that there were giants: to enable us to avoid a similar fate in the future. The fact that giants existed before the flood AND after the flood is significant.

The author states he doesn’t know if the giants came into existence due to a second invasion of angelic (demonic) DNA from a second period of angels (demons) mating with women. But he believes that Nephiliam DNA was passed on through one of Noah’s sons: Shem, Japheth, or Ham. He states the most likely target as Ham, due to the curse pronounced by Noah on Canaan, who was Ham’s son.

Irrespective, he discusses in great detail the lineages of the giants shown in scripture. He also explores certain extra-Biblical, non-canonical texts to show who the giants were as well as their possible origins. Although it’s a little speculative, it does highlight this period in Mankind’s past and reveal why certain scripture texts say what they say (e.g. That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 1 Cor. 11:10, ESV.)

The Bible, when rightly divided, is consistent with itself and brings revelation of God, Mankind, and angels, including fallen angels (demons). But the author believes demons aren’t fallen angels but remnants of the souls of the giants. His position is giants, after they were killed in the flood, had souls that remained on earth, for the couldn’t ascend into heaven or descend into hell, as they were immortal beings like unto their fathers — the fallen angels.

Whether true or not, I did enjoy the book. And it’s thought provoking. I think it’s important we wrestle with these issues, including the possible theft, destruction, or removal of those bones which are the remnants of our hidden history of giants. Further, it begs the question: why hide bones of giants from the public? That opens the door for conspiracy theories and other similar thoughts, which does seem to be a distinct possibility.

Yet, I suggest reading this book as a starter book in diving into the pre-flood and post-flood panorama on the history of giants. Intriguing, researched, and thought provoking. I would recommend reading this book at least once.

You won't get this from a straight reading of scripture

This is an interesting take of eschatology. However, it is a lot of conjecture and opinion. You won't get this by a simple reading of Genesis, Daniel, and Revelation. You have to look at extra-canonical books like 4th Esdras and the Book of Enoch. Maybe that's not a bad thing. Peter and Jude were apparently familiar with these writings. There may be a basis for these scenarios, but I'm not sure. It seems a little conspiratorial, like UFOs and Big Foot.

Definitely a book that struck my curiosity. It was a very interesting read. It was very interesting theories, but by no means a book based on Theology. I have always considered these type of books entertaining with imagination. We should definitely use discernment with these type readings. Reminds of the story where Jesus approach’s a demon possessed boy.. they begged Jesus to not throw them into the abyss. So Jesus places them in a herd of pigs. The story was really about the boy being delivered and saved from Jesus rendering to us His power. But some of us get sidetracked with other sections of this passage. What happened to the demons in the drowned pigs? Sometimes our curiosity stirs excitement in something so unanswerable rather then the same old Jesus story of healing. Yet the power of Jesus is what it is about and there is nothing boring about the power Jesus had to save a boy and rebuke demons.

This book covers three topics. First is giants. Biblical records are cited as well as historical records from various world cultures. Next comes angels; angels in general as well as fallen angels. The last section covers the nephilim which has several subtopics. This book is well researched and explores a unique subject.

An amazingly intriguing view of Scripture. I appreciated that this book never veers from Scripture yet opens up some possible interpretations of the Nephilim and their potential demonic connections, both historically and possibly yet to come.

Very well narrated in the audiobook version as well.

I really enjoyed this book. Very easy to read and interesting. At this point, I am well-read on the topic. Lindsay breaks the history down and integrates it simply with Scripture.
A downer is that the language and syntax of his prose required a second take several times.

Great theories, I'll have to study more though

He puts forth some truly amazing theories behind what could have happened with the genesis 6 event. I just would say people need to be careful how quickly they take to believing everything as absolute truth.
