At first, I was a bit confused, but that's when I realized that this was Book #2 of the series, in saying that you can catch the gist of the story by only reading this book. Now that I've finished Book #2 I will be going back to read Book #1 though. In this one, Ruby has returned to her master, and this pleases him, yet he will try not to show it and will try and break her for her to become his perfect submissive like Maid whom has her lips sewn. In a way, Nathan reminded me of Benny from Ker Dukey's series Pretty Little Dolls as he has a collection of females that he is training to be sold in his Honey Hole collection. Ruby's Ashes is not for the faint-hearted as it not only contains BDSM at a high level but also swearing, strong sexual contexts and murder - lots of blood and gore. Ruby's Ashes is not just a delve into the BDSM world but also a Horror. It has the BDSM of Normandie Alleman's Webmaster series and the Horror of Ker Dukey's Pretty Little Dolls Series. Ruby's Ashes is a R18 series.

The way Smoldering Ruby ended left me wanting to know what would happen in the next book, so I was eager to get into Ruby's Ashes and begin the next installment in the story.
This story picked right up where the last one left off and immediately transported me back to that place.
I really enjoy when these two authors write together. I am always instantly pulled into the world of the story and completely along for what I know will be a wild and kinky ride.
The lengths Ruby was willing to go to to prove herself to Master bordered on disgusting at times, but truly showed her determination and devotion. Things certainly took some interesting turns along the way and the ending was quite pleasant.
I hope to see Harlow and Rabbit writing together again soon.

Babe Harlow and Teressa Rabbitt got together and came up with book two about Ruby and Nathan. Ruby can't stay away and Nathan can't wait to punish her. I can say if your not up to some very graphics detailed abuse don't read this book. The authors did a fantastic job of shows that side of the lifestyle that most of us just wonder about. I can't wait to see what Babe Harlow and Tressa Rabbitt have coming up next.

Nathan and Ruby - a perfect match made in heaven or is it hell? Either way, they are an interesting couple and I hope their journey along with Maid doesn't stop with Book Two.
As a reader, I highly suggest you read, Book One - Smoldering Ruby. It needs to be absorbed before jumping into Ruby's Ashes. Both books are scandalous and crazy-twisted; left me shell-shocked in a good way!

I really didn't expect any of the events in this book to go the way they did. This book was hotter than the first and I fully enjoyed it. I can't wait to read more by these authors.

Oh I can’t believe how good this series is!! Nathan is so nastily dark and dirty and Ruby just loves every second of it... these two Authors sure know how to write some steamy words!
