The Tyrant in the Tree
Sorrel Martin and Penelope Greene head off to the Parker-Martin family reunion with Sorrel's younger brother, Bradley, where Penelope gets introduced to the extended family. However, as everyone is getting ready to leave after the last day of the reunion, the patriarch of the Parker family is found dead. Signs point at first to it being a suicide, but that theory quickly gets pushed aside when Penelope learns that Marvin had a broken leg, which makes it very implausible that he got himself up into a tree, the way he was found. With all the animosity between the Parker family members, the list of suspects seems to keep growing by the minute.
When Sorrel is named in the will unexpectedly, it throws a new wrench into the system; Bradley and Penelope fear for Sorrel's safety. Can they trick the real killer into revealing himself or herself? Or have they taken one chance too many?

Wow!!

This book is something else.
Penelope, Sorrel and Bradley went to a family reunion on Sorrel's side of family, and what a family they are!! Talk sbout a mess, dysfunctional, angry, mental and just plain pain in the butts!!!!
One of the family member got what they deserved, but not in the way they did.
Penelope and Bradley had to help investigate how and why it went down after the reunion.
There is so much to say so you have to read for details, you will love it!!!!
It could remind some you of some of your family reunions, but not the same ending!!!!

Charming Cozy Mystery
The Tyrant in the Trees, by Kristy E. Carter was a lovely cozy mystery. It was great to see what all the characters are up to, like visiting with old friends, but solving a mystery with them! Didnt see the ending coming at all! Great read, great series! Recommend everyone read these!

A waste of time!
I kept reading hoping the plot would become interesting and the characters would be developed into believable people. All I discovered was a boring way to spend my time.

Awesome read
Another awesome read. I loved this book and liked the story line as the characters unfolded. I love how these wonderful short stories can draw you in. I would highly recommend this book
