Treasure Island is Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel of adventure, pirates, and adventuresome pirates in search of pirate treasure. Except in this retelling of a timeless (and public domain) tale, the infamous Long John Silver is renamed Raffles the Clown. Follow young Jim Hawkins as he sets out to sea only to become mixed up with a crew of murderous pirates, led by the one-legged and silly-named Raffles the Clown. While some may turn in disgust at this revision of a classic work of literature, the editor maintains it is still more dignified than having a fast food chain named after the character. This book is part of the "Except the Protagonist's Name is Changed" series of butchered classic works.
