2,500 years of discovery - the greatest scientists from ancient times to the modern era. Aryabahta, Abraham Zacuto, Werner Heisenberg, Alexander Fleming, & many more.
A reasonable book on the different sciences and scientists involved in those individual topics. As the title states it’s “on bite-sized chunks” and in reality none the worse for that. Wouldn’t suit a knowledgeable scientist but they wouldn’t be reading this anyway. So it gives basic information about the science- astronomy, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine & the body and Geology & Meteorology- and then the individuals who discovered/ gave something dating back to Egypt & Greece right up to date. Nothing over the topic and simple to read and understand from a child (with an interest in such) to an adult wanting to increase their knowledge of who and when.
First review! This book isn't going to wow anyone like a good piece of fiction would, but it was pretty cool to read about the people behind our modern day science and technology (although don't ask me if I remember any of their names!)
