Review Disabled and Unable to Work by Tim Pattern is a non fiction book. The main objective of the book is to make people aware how the disabled people are treated who are unable to do their daily rountine. The organisations and institutions treating the disabled people act as a fraud regardless of the age. The main motive of these institutions are only to get huge payments and so there are less people whose disabilities are permanently cured. This scenario can be well understood in America where the people who experience accidents or illness only few of them receive the treatment and the others gets rejected. This book is based on reality where even if the person have a medical claim of being treated for his disability the institutions rejects the claim. This book is highly recommended to all to spread awareness of such fraud.
Disabled and Unable to Work- Now What? By Tim Patten Until a reality has been thrust upon you, you cannot really comprehend the exact depth of it. As a person with full function of all their mental faculties and limbs, you cannot really begin to imagine what it would be like to live without those. Most people rarely even think about at all. Add the shock of losing a major function to the financial turmoil. You are suddenly unable to provide for yourself and your family. There are probably more bills that come with your new state, what then? It is estimated that 2.2 million Americans lose their ability to earn due to disability every year. Only 3% of those people get federal disability aid. What happens to the rest? Employer disability insurance only pays out a fraction of the previous salary. Even then one goes through a tumultuous process of complaints and dropped calls. Most are barely able to stay above the poverty line. Tim Patten is opening our eyes to the possibilities of tomorrow and how bleak it may be without proper preparation. He does not only address the disabled but every single person. He suggests some very sound sober ideas to stay above the tide when tomorrow brings with it an unpleasant surprise. This is eye opening, thought provoking and oh so astounding. This is not a lecture on what you have failed to do but rather an urging to act now. The writing is sober and appropriately presented. The book is loaded with a lot of facts to support the material. This is a book worth reading. Five stars out of five. You could use this, so could five other people you know.
